Im bad at explaining things so sorry if it doesent make sense.
When Harry potter is in the graveyard where cedric gets killed and where voldemort gets reborn. Because of his plea for help mother magic (goddess of magic) sends a soul that is about to die anyway and that can protect him to his body. The 2 souls get merged and become 1 soul. One part of it is Harry the innocent, shy and scared child who was left alone to fend for himself by Albus Dumbledore in the triwizard tournemant as the magical guardian is allowed to remove a child from the compitition but harry doesent know that yet. And the other is Akaza Uppermoon 3 the teriffing demon but also not as bad as he may seem because akaza doesent hurt woman or children and only eats men (i know the woman part is accurate but i dont know if the child part is true) the only exceptions he makes is if a woman hurts a child because he then always goes in for the kill.
