Summary
The first attempt was fine. It was odd, sure, but it was fine. It’s the Pepero game, something all idols play at least once during the course of their career. If he’s honest, San is surprised they haven’t been subjected to it sooner.
The second attempt was admittedly harder. They hadn’t broken the record, and if any of the other members had been standing face-to-face, they probably would have shrugged it off, waved their hand dismissively, and sat back down. Yunho and Wooyoung are, arguably, the most competitive members of the group. They have always been friends who push each other: in choreography, in travel, and in silly games.
The third attempt. It hurt. San would be lying if he said it didn’t hurt. He knows neither his boyfriend nor his friend, one of his closest friends, wanted that hurt to bubble up in San’s chest, and he doesn’t blame them. But it doesn’t change the fact that it was hard to watch.
