    Summary

Henry of Skalitz thought he knew the difference between devotion and love.

One was for the woman he would one day fall for, marry, then have children with. They would live in a cottage in a small town, and he'd work the smithy by day, and return to a home cooked meal at night.

Devotion was what he felt for his Lord, Sir Hans Capon of Pirkstein, heir of Rattay. Loyalty. Capon was a man he would follow to the depths of hell, if only to drag him back by the scruff of his neck when it all went south. He was the type of man that was worth being loyal to. A friend—the best he’d ever had.

But, at that moment, Henry wasn't sure where one word ended and the next began, as Hans' lips pressed against his own, desperate, and so very warm.
