I Was Made for Lovin' You

Summary:

Miko was always alone. She believed she would always be alone until her death. However, that one night changed everything.

Notes:

Hello mate! I still work on my other fanfic, but I also wrote this oneshot to change the mood, and here it is.

This fanfic was inspired by the song with the same title that I used for this fanfic.

Enjoy!

Work Text:

Miko has always been alone, she knew that a very long time ago. When she was little, her parents died in a car accident, and she had to move to live with her grandmother in the countryside.

Miko knows her grandmother tries her best to cheer her up along the way, but it doesn't do much, she always feels alone. Whenever she goes, even to the center of crowds of people.

Miko loves her grandmother, of course she loves her, and maybe that was the only thing in the world that she could ever feel.

Before...

"Sakura-san?" One of the students in her school opened the door of the class at break time. Miko doesn't know who this student is (maybe some freshman or so), and she doesn't know why she gets called.

She stops whatever she's doing at that time and stands up. "Yes?" Her hands got clammy, she has a bad feeling about this.

"You got called by the headmaster." The student then turned on her heels and walked away after that, she looked like she was in a hurry or something.

She tried to calm herself down. She didn't even do anything that made her get called by the headmaster. She's not doing anything wrong, so it will be fine.

Maybe.

Miko made her way to the headmaster's room and knocked on the door and got a response before she pushed the door open. The headmaster sits on his chair behind the desk, interlaces his fingers, and Miko can't help but gulp at the intimidation that sparks in that moment.

"You can sit." With her shaky legs, she walks towards the chair there, in front of the headmaster, and curls her hands tightly against her navy skirt. Her head hangs low, and her eyes just look at the wood floors underneath. "I have an announcement for you from your neighbor."

Her eyes then have a way to look directly at the headmaster in front of her, but she still doesn't speak anything. "Your grandmother just passed away." Her body stiffens at the word, her brain just repeating the sentence to make sure she didn't mishear it.

After her body absorbs the meaning of it, her throat becomes dry and her body limp. "W-what?" Her voice trembles, and her voice sounds rough.

The next thing she knows is just that she becomes numb. The last time she felt something was when her grandmother was still here with her, still trying to cheer her up. She took good care of her, and after her grandmother passed away, Miko couldn't feel anything at all.

Fortunately her neighbors were good to her, so they also helped her with many things. But she knows she has to handle everything on her own now. She has plenty of money from her parents and grandmother, but she has to get a job too.

Then everything goes back to normal, maybe with a little bit of change, because there's no one home waiting for her, but everything just goes back with a little difference.

Like always, Miko got bullied by some student in school. She never spoke about it, she never fought them back, and she became a punching bag for the bullies, though she never felt anything, so it was fine.

Or so she thought.

One of her bullies just grabs her hair tightly and swings her to the wall on the back of the school building, making a loud thud when her head makes contact with the wall on the back. Her vision then spinning for a second before going back to normal, she knows that she will have a bruise on her head in the morning. But she wouldn't mind it.

"This bitch looks so punchable." He gritted his teeth, making an annoying sound that could make everyone's ears scream when they heard it. He laughed a bit before punching her face with his fist.

Again. And again. And again. And again. And again. And again. And again. And again.

"Such a broken toy, you can't escape me, whore." He grabs something from his pocket, and the cutter reveals itself. He then makes his way to her so painfully slowly. Then place the blade on the neck. "Let me crave a little bit to make you more bro-beautiful."

He makes a few open wounds with that and smiles widely at his handiwork in front of him. "Ha, you look so disgusting with that on." He laughed maniacally at that.

Miko feels like a disaster. Like this, she doesn't have to check the mirror to know that she looks like a monster in this state. Her face burns, and she knows that many bruises are left on her face. She also can taste some metallic fluid inside her mouth because of the punch earlier.

The bitter taste from nowhere then approached the fluid, combining with each other, making it taste disgusting inside her mouth.

Miko had enough.

Her legs then took flight, leaving the boy alone in the back of the school building. Miko's legs just move on their own and make a quick escape from the prison she just had.

Before she knows it, she just runs back home with an eyeache. She cries on the way, opens the door of her house, sits on the porch, and hugs her knees tightly. She continued her cries, her pent-up emotions just exploded before her eyes. She screams until her throat hurts.

She didn't know that she could feel something.

She didn't realize that bitterness was in her heart before.

She just realized that she can feel something in this entire time, it makes her like a normal person, at least. It's proof that she was alive. But if this is all she got then maybe she should wish she couldn't feel something anymore instead. She doesn't want to feel anymore because all she could feel now was just anger, sadness, hurt, disgust, insecurity, and many negative emotions.

She doesn't take care of her appearance, and maybe she just doesn't know what she can do to her appearance anymore. Her face looks hideous because of some bruises that still appear on it, and her body isn't that good either, she has a chubby stomach. Like hell her weight is not proportional to her height, she has short legs, and it can't be helped.

She always got insecure when she accidentally looked at a magazine on her way back from school, maybe jealous too.

The bruises from that day become more and more hidden, and it makes Miko feel better. One day she just got up in the middle of the night. She was so tired today and went to sleep early, maybe that's why she got up at this hour. She then checked her phone, it was 11 pm. She then checks the date and remembers tomorrow is her birthday. Maybe she could just stay awake a little longer and wait for her birthday, which is just an hour from now.

She killed her time by doing anything. Like grab her coat and walk outside, she knows this is spring, but she also knows how cold the night in the middle of spring is. Actually, Miko has never walked in the middle of the night like this in the countryside before, her grandmother doesn't allow her to do that. She breathes the cold air, and it feels fresh inside her lungs. Everyone is sleeping at this time, and that makes the atmosphere feel so calm, not noisy like always during the day.

Her eyes then caught something interesting hanging above her, something beautiful she could see right now when people hadn't had a chance to see the same.

The stars.

They twinkle in the dark, maybe because this place is the countryside, which makes them brighter than usual in the city, but something swipes all of her attention, a star that is alone. Unlike the other stars that are making a group, this one star is so far away from the other stars in the sky.

Maybe that star is just like her, alone.

Her thought then leaves her mind because of an alarm from her phone. She grabs it from the coat's pocket and swipes it. It's 12 am, her birthday. She walks to the nearby park to sit on a bench there. She's not that athletic, so maybe just a little bit of a break for her legs and then walk home. She then dozes off before closing her eyes and controlling her breath.

I wish I weren't alone.

She is making a wish to no one. She isn't really religious, but she can't help but wish for something she wants the most. Miko stood up and started walking away from the park to go home.

Her intention then back to the night sky, she searches for the star, the lonely star like her. Miko's eyes see attentively against the sea above, but the star that caught her eyes earlier is not there, her eyes can't find the star that was alone again.

Did the star just move and join the group of another star?

Miko then stumbled on her feet because she didn't mind her step at all. Her body wobbles vigorously, and she tries to stand again but fails.

Ok, maybe just another bruise then.

She gives up on her fate that she has to fall because of her stupidity, but then something warm holds her from behind. It's an awkward position, but it's okay if she can dodge the cold asphalt beneath her.

She then stands on her own feet. "Thank y-" Her sentence cut out when she saw the person.

The person that takes the fresh air away inside of her lungs.

Her starry eyes remind her of the vast night sky she just saw, and her hair flows like a river, it seems so silky that it makes Miko's hands itchy to wrap her hair around her fingers.

Wait, did Miko's eyes work properly?

Why is she naked?

Miko blinks her eyes.

Once.

Twice.

Nothing happens, the girl is just naked.

She looks up and down before realizing what she's doing and takes off her coat and wraps it around the slim body of the weird girl, trying not to look so much.

"What are you doing? Naked in the middle of the road, I know it's not that crowded, but still, at least wear something."

The stars in her eyes then twinkle like a silly baby who doesn't know if she did something wrong. A smile was plastered on her face. "Hi, Mikochi!" Her voice was kind of deep and welcome to Miko's ear.

"Wha-Huh? Do I know you?" Her voice gets higher than usual, making her throat slightly hurt because of that.

Why does she know my name?

Did we meet before?

She placed a finger on her chin before saying. "Maybe? But that's not the point, today is your birthday, right? You have to do something fun." The girl grabs Miko's hand and pulls it.

They make their way to the minimarket that's open 24 hours. Gladly she has a coat on her, or Miko will have the title of the pervert in this area now.

The girl grabs several things before walking to the door. "Wait, you have to buy it properly before walking away like that." Miko grabs the girl's wrist and pulls her along to the cashier.

Miko doesn't know why this girl just does whatever she wants, and she's the one who feels like a mother trying to teach a child how the world works. But the worst part is...

She's the one who has to pay it.

Miko grabs the plastic bag and gives it to the other girl. "I guess it's my treat." It's not that expensive either, so it's fine. She turns her body and starts walking to go home.

Miko knows the girl is just right behind her the entire time, but she doesn't mind it. Maybe her house is on this way too. She then opens the door of her house and sighs heavily before turning around. "What are you doing here? Don't you have to go home already? It's late."

The other girl just tilted her head slightly. "Home? I don't have it yet, I just got to this planet a moment ago."

"Huh? What are you saying?"

"Ah, it doesn't matter now. Can I get inside?" She looks at Miko's behind and peeks at the house.

She didn't know what to do, so she just moved slightly to make a way for the girl to get inside of the house. Miko knows this is crazy or maybe a dangerous situation, she doesn't even know her, but she let her inside anyway. The girl does not look like a treat, though.

More like a temptation.

Miko shakes her head to cast the weird thought out of her head and closes the door. Then some dirt on the floor caught her attention.

What the hell, did that girl not wear shoes too?

She makes her way to the other girl and clutches her hand in hers and pulls it to walk to the bathroom. Miko didn't know how many times she pulled this hand of the other girl today.

"Now you have to wash yourself, and I'll catch you later, okay?" She makes the girl sit on the bathtub and turn on the tap. The other girl just nodded, and Miko left her alone in that room. Miko has to mop the floor now.

After the floor is cleaned like always again, she goes upstairs and takes a pair of her outfits and a towel, grabs them, and knocks on the bathroom door before opening it. The other girl is in the same position as earlier, making eye contact with her and smiling slightly.

"Are you done?" Miko can't help but stare. Her eyes follow the other girl as she stands up off the bathtub, then her eyes scan the outline of her body.

Oh shoot, Miko, stop staring.

Then her eyes caught a droplet on her neck, and...

Ok, enough.

She glanced to the side and did her best to stay focused. "This..." Just a single word with a trembling voice. She hands out the towel and the outfit before closing the bathroom door more harshly than she intends.

Not long after the other girl meets her in the living room, the towel is on her head, and she is holding a plastic paper with the minimarket logo on it.

She sits beside her on the sofa and digs in the plastic bag, and a cupcake that she bought earlier reveals itself along with a candle and a lighter. The girl places the candle on top of the cupcake and lights it with the lighter and starts to sing happy birthday.

Miko didn't expect it, she didn't even know who the stranger in front of her was. "C'mon, Mikochi, blow the candle." She pushes the cupcake towards Miko, and she does it, she blows out the candle, and a laugh escapes the stranger's lips. Make Miko's stomach do something weird. "Happy birthday, Mikochi." A sincere smile tugs on her lips, and Miko feels she does the same in return.

She doesn't know why she feels this way with a stranger whose name she doesn't know yet. "Btw, your name? You already know my name, so tell me yours."

"I... I don't have a name." Miko was confused at that. "Like I said earlier, I just got here a moment ago and don't know how this planet works yet. You make a wish right when I fall from the sky. I was a star."

Miko's brain can't process the information and leaves it to burn her head. "Eh?" With her last strength she said a word, or does that count as a word?

A starfall = comet = 彗星 = Suisei. Miko's eyes then light up when her brain does something. "Then your name is Suisei then." She nodded and closed her eyes, proud of herself that she could understand such a complicated problem.

She doesn't understand at all, though.

"Uh-huh?" Suisei nodded, but confusion on her face was clearly visible. "Okay, I'm Suisei." She thinks a while and then opens her mouth again. "Maybe Hoshimachi Suisei sounds good." She takes that name. "So, can I stay here with you? I don't have a place on this planet."

Miko still doesn't understand fully, but it'll be okay, she's also kind of happy if she has a roommate. "Okay, then." She takes this chance so she's not alone anymore, she uses Suisei so she can't feel hopeless anymore. It's a wrongful plan, but she does it anyway, just this time.

I know this is wrong, but I take this chance, so call me blind.

With that, Suisei starts to stay in her house, and Miko buys her things that she could use, like a toothbrush, clothes, and everything she thinks Suisei needs.

Suisei can talk, read, and write a letter, but she doesn't know how this planet works, so Miko teaches her general knowledge that can be practiced on a daily basis, like currency, another language, how other countries are, where they live, and manners in this country too.

Suisei always uses Miko's computer to access the internet, and she also learns something new with that, like films, books, and songs.

Suisei then starts memorizing the note and lyrics on her own and sings it whenever she takes a bath. She doesn't know that her voice can be heard by Miko. She really has a good voice, and whenever Miko listens to it, her body feels comfortable, and she giggles when Suisei sings a song with the wrong lyrics that one time.

Miko also has known that the blue-haired girl doesn't have to eat because, like she said, she was a star or maybe still a star. Wait, maybe a meteorite? Whatever. Miko doesn't understand either, but she understands that Suisei shines brightly in her eyes, so she believes her.

Even though she doesn't have to eat, Suisei doesn't have a problem with eating human food. Suisei will eat together with Miko if the menu is approvable, like meat, because she doesn't like veggies that much.

She lives a life with Suisei here, and she didn't realize that she has been waiting for this to happen all her life. Waiting for normal activities, simple but treasured.

Miko's monotonous life became brighter with every color, she could feel happy, excited, and maybe even affection? Other than the negative feeling she had.

She is still always getting bullied at school, but whenever she gets home, her spirits lift because someone welcomes her home after the deadly hell she has to go through every day, school.

Miko left her train of thought when the bell rang and everyone in her class was ready to go home. With light speed, Miko throws her stuff inside her bag and wraps the strap of her bag onto her shoulders. Some of her classmates chit-chat a bit when she makes her way to the door.

"I can't wait for the prom night, I'm sure it'll be so much fun."

"Yeah, and we also can invite our friends outside the school to that prom night."

Oh yeah, prom night. Maybe I'll invite Suichan too.

When she got home, Suisei welcomed her like always and gave her a short hug with a gentle smile. "How's today?"

"Just like usual." She throws her shoes off and walks inside. "Oh yeah, we have a prom night this Saturday. Want to go together?"

"I can?" The stars in both her eyes shine brightly.

"Yeah, we can invite anyone outside the school to that event." Miko falls on the couch, making it sink because of her body weight. "And you don't have a dress, so let's get some of those too."

Suisei nodded happily and took her time to prepare herself and go outside with Miko, take a train to another place, and go shopping for some dresses that caught their eyes.

"Woah, you look good on that. Take this too." Miko's eyes look at every curve on the other girl's body when she wears an elegant black dress, and she gives her another dress to try on.

She then gave her another and another and another dress, but in the end, Suisei just picked two dresses and bought them. Miko holds the shopping bag, and they run to the arcade and play some games.

"How about that? That looked fun." Suisei pointed to the shooting games in the arcade. Miko can't play it that well, but maybe she would give it a shot.

Miko placed the bag on the floor and began to take the gun in front of her. Suisei swiped the card and took the other gun beside Miko, and they started the game. They just have to shoot the zombies that came to their fortress, and gosh, Miko's aim is so bad, it's kind of hard to control the aim.

"Bruh, rip your aim, Mikochi." Miko doesn't have to look directly at Suisei to know the most smug smile that's plastered all over the other girl's face.

"Can you shut it and help me here?" Miko tried her best to shoot the zombies, and Suisei aimed at the zombies in front of her with her gun and had eight headshots in a row.

Before they knew it, the game was over with their victory. Miko almost died, and her HP was one point from dropping dead. She looked at Suisei, who looked directly at her eyes and blew the tip of the gun in her hand with a smirk.

Shoot, she's hot.

Miko's bones scream at her.

"Okay, okay, don't get so cocky, Hoshimachi." She got the outburst of laughter from the girl that always made the butterflies in her stomach take flight. Miko can't help but laugh along with her after that.

The sun had already set when they got outside. The sun takes its break from its work to light up the earth and go home, like the girls do right now. They ride a train to the countryside and walk 10 minutes to go back to the house and take a rest the entire night.

Miko lying on her bed and her waist being wrapped by Suisei like always. It's like a routine to her now, and somehow she realizes it.

Miko always knows it, the feeling that lingers deep inside her heart and every bone in her body always screaming at her that she loves her. Miko doesn't know what she should do with that. All she knows is that she loves this girl.

Love that stupid beautiful face of hers, love the person that holds her soul tightly when she's asleep, so tightly that she can't live without it, and that makes Miko's heart do something funny.

It's funny because the girl that just saved her from falling hard to the ground on their first meeting is also the same girl that made her fall hard in a different way.

Suisei feels like she got up earlier than usual. She checks the time, it's 1 pm. It's a new record for her, she's always a sleepyhead and wakes at 3 or 4 pm every day. The sounds of the TV outside can be heard, it's Saturday, and Miko doesn't have to go to school.

Suisei made her way to the living room and sat beside Miko and wrapped her arms around the figure beside her. "Morning." Her voice was hoarse and sleepy.

"Morning, Suichan, is this a new record?" Miko takes a chip between her thumb and pointer finger and moves it to Suisei's mouth. She happily ate the chip and nodded against Miko's shoulder. "The prom night will start at 7, so we have much time."

"Okay." She snuggles deep into Miko's neck, making Miko shiver a bit when her breath wipes Miko's neck, and she smiles slightly at that.

They just cuddle with each other and watch TV in front of them before realizing that it is 6 pm. Miko soon rushes to the bathroom and screams, "The students can't be late." All the way, and Suisei just laughs out loud.

Miko then got her dress on with simple makeup on her face. She smiled a bit and turned around in front of Suisei. "Look good?"

Suisei is speechless when the other girl shows herself with that dress, and her throat runs dry before she gulps it down and mumbles. "You look beautiful." She can't take her eyes off of her. Miko fits in that dress. She looks so much more attractive with that, and a pink dust covers her cheeks, making her face more adorable than usual.

"Stop staring." Miko's tiny voice then makes her turn around with the same speed when she falls to the earth.

"Sorry."

The giggles can be heard from the other girl. "I'll go first. You know where my school is, right? Make sure to wear the dress, and I'll wait for you there." She makes her way to the front door. "See you later."

"Yeah, bye." She waved her hand and moved to the bathroom to go prepare herself. She put the black dress on, and she can't make up, so let it be. She doesn't even care about her face after all.

She opens the door and makes sure she locks it before starting to walk to Miko's school. Like she imagined, the school is so crowded. Many people are dancing to the music, and some of them laugh, chit-chat, drink, and eat something. All of them wear dresses and suits or tuxedos. Suisei's eyes scan the crowded room to search for her pink-haired friends.

"Hey, wanna dance with me?" A boy makes his way to her and leans on the hand.

"No, thank you. I just got here and want to search for my friend first." She turns him down and walks faster.

Suisei can't count how many boys invite her to dance, and she doesn't care about them, what she cares about is where the hell Miko is. She then takes her break and sits on one of the stools.

Her eyes drift to something pink in the sea of people, and she realizes that's Miko. Suisei smiles when she sees Miko dancing alone without a care in the world. She's the one person that can make her eyes attracted, her gaze doesn't leave Miko since her eyes found her.

Then a frat boy-looking type in his tuxedo beelined towards Miko with a determined expression. It's making Suisei's shoulder tense. Suisei hasn't seen that boy in the school, so maybe he's not a student in this school.

Then the boy whispered something to Miko, and Miko shook her head, but he didn't leave. It makes Suisei get up from the stool and walk towards them, something bitter in her stomach makes its way to her throat. It feels uncomfortable, and she hates it.

The boy reaches Miko, but she pulls her hand away from him before he can touch her. Then the boy is whispering something else to her with an ugly and disgusting face. He tries to reach her again, but Suisei then steps between them and grabs his wrist firmly. "Is there a problem?"

The boy looks like he's from a rich family who is always pampered, making his face stupid and arrogant. He doesn't even know Suisei was a second away from ripping his ugly face off his face bone.

"Problem? It's not a problem, I'm just asking her to dance." His voice is calm and a bit surprised when he looks at her.

"I don't want to dance with him." Suisei knows that even before Miko speaks for herself.

His eyes then scan Suisei up and down before a slight smile takes over his disgusting face. "Or do you get jealous and want to dance with me? I can dance with the two of you, you know." This arrogant son of a bitch.

"You look like an asshole, and you have to level up your face to say that." Suisei can hear Miko choke back her laugh, and she wraps her arms around Miko's shoulder and pulls her to close the gap between them. "And don't touch her, she's mine." Her other hand still grabs firmly at the wrist of the boy, and she squeezes it, making the boy wince. Suisei is not a human, so she can easily squeeze it, but also make sure she doesn't break his bone with her strength. "You know what you should do, right?"

He gulps at that and mumbles, "Sorry."

"Hah? I can't hear you." Suisei squeezes his wrist a little tighter, making him yelp in pain.

"Sorry!" This time, louder, and Suisei frees his wrist, and she smiles with a scary look before she takes Miko's hand and pulls it with her to the nearby stools.

She grabs apple juice and drinks it like she drinks wine. "That bastard is so annoying." She slams the table with her fist like a drunk person.

Miko laughs when she sees Suisei like this. "I haven't seen you like that before." Miko grabs her own drink and sips it in an elegant manner. "You have to level up your face to say that." Miko mimicked Suisei's voice earlier, making Suisei growl in embarrassment. "You look like a hero, though." A gentle smile makes its own way to her lips. "Don't touch her, she's mine. Huh?"

"Okay, shut it before..." Suisei cut her sentence abruptly because she was too embarrassed to continue her sentence.

"Before what? Before I shut it for you?" Miko giggles and brings her face closer to Suisei's, her eyes shine with a playful glint, and a mischievous smile replaces her gentle smile from earlier. "Shut it for me, then." Suisei doesn't know what expression is on her own face, but Miko finds it amusing, so she laughs her ass off because of it.

"It's not funny." Suisei almost does what Miko told her to do before she laughs loudly.

Miko's laughter is just louder than before, and she drinks her apple juice to the last droplet and puts it down again. Miko's laughter still ringing beside her, and she's just waiting for Miko to wheeze and drop dead because of it.

They spent their time on prom night with each other, talking about everything and drinking the juice as much as their stomachs allowed them to.

All Suisei knew later was she and Miko walked home together with their stomachs full of a fluid. Damn, she could even feel the apple juice flavor inside her blood.

They go to a minimarket for a while to grab some dinner and give their legs a rest on a bench before continuing their journey to their home.

Maybe Suisei can't feel this way if she isn't brave enough to let herself fall from the night sky before. Suisei is always watching Miko from above, day and night. She knows Miko couldn't see her in the day, but she's always there in the sky, and Miko doesn't take a walk at night, so of course Miko can't see her, but that day Miko walks outside at night, and Suisei feels happy because of that, and Miko also looks directly at her that night.

Miko's green eyes shone brightly when she saw her in the sky, and that image made a clear mark on Suisei's mind, and now it's different. Suisei got to see Miko more closely, and Miko can see her every day in return. She smiles at the thought and feels glad with everything she has on this planet.

Miko opens the front door of the house, and Suisei dashes to the bathroom to take a shower first. "Hey, that's cheating." Was all Miko said to her, but she knew Miko didn't really mind it.

She takes a shower, and some minutes later she's done. Wrap her towel around her body and walk to their bedroom, only to see Miko on the bed, looking sleepy. "Hey, you have to wash yourself before falling asleep." Suisei shakes Miko's petite body gently, and the emerald begins to open.

"Mm… kay." With those lazy legs, she got up and left the bedroom. Suisei hears the splash of water and takes out her pajamas and wears them. She also takes Miko's and places them on the bed.

Suisei waits a little bit before Miko steps inside and wears her pajamas before falling beside her, she snuggles up to her. "Hey, your hair's still wet."

"I don't care." She mumbles under her breath.

"Ugggh." Suisei really doesn't mind it. Really. Maybe a bit. All she did after that was move her arms and hug Miko in return, letting out a soft sigh.

She feels happy today, even though something bad inside her pops up out of nowhere when the annoying frat boy approaches Miko. Suisei doesn't recognize that feeling from before, but now she's fine. She's happy with Miko by her side like always, and her heartbeat does a crazy thing when she cuddles with Miko like always.

Wait, it's not normal.

She then pulled herself back and looked at the peaceful face of sleeping Miko in front of her before she got up and opened Miko's computer on the desk in the room and pulled the chair before sitting on it. She asks the people about what she feels on the internet, and boom.

She is confused.

Someone says it was anger, others say it's love, and others just say that she has to make sure it's love or anger.

But how?

She asks it again to the people on the internet, and they just reply with something like...

Hug her.

She always does that, but nothing happens.

Make out with her.

Make—oh, what? Did she have to make something out of Miko's body? Did they just say that she has to kill Miko? No, absolutely it's a big NO.

Kiss her on her cheeks or mouth.

Umm, maybe it's a good idea, but she just can't out of nowhere kiss her. She replies to that comment to ask how to do it.

The person then replies to her.

Just build up the mood and make sure she's comfortable with that.

Okay, maybe it's the best solution she got.

Suisei starts her operation to know herself better and understand what she's feeling towards the other girl.

She is more clingy to Miko and tries her best to build the mood like that person on the internet said. Of course it's always easy to say and hard to do.

One night they cuddle to each other like always while watching a show that's playing on the TV, Miko's on her lap, and her chin rests peacefully on Miko's shoulder. They are watching a romance anime that Miko likes, and in the hot scenes when the two protagonists just cuddle and do some sweet actions, Miko always adjusts her seat on Suisei's lap and continues eating her chips later when she finds a comfortable spot.

"Mikochi, pass me my apple juice." Suisei mumbles against her shoulder, and Miko grabs the apple juice from the coffee table in front of her. "Thanks." She takes a sip.

"They look so happy, right?" In the middle of the show, Miko mumbles to herself.

Suisei giggles. "You're jealous because of them, huh?"

"I don't even have my first kiss in my entire life." Miko growls in frustration, and something clicks in Suisei's brain, she could take this situation as a chance.

"Want to try it out?" Suisei drinks her apple juice and puts it aside when it's empty.

"What do you me-, eeh?" Miko's sentence was cut off and replaced with a yelp. She is now facing Miko directly. "Huh?" Suisei wraps her arms around Miko's waist and pulls it until the fabric they wear touches against each other's.

Without much further ado Suisei kisses her, she has never done it before, but her instinct helps her out. She nibbles Miko's lower lip, and after a while, Miko kisses her back. They kiss each other and pull away when they have to take a breath.

Suisei's heart thuds louder than before, and it answers all the questions she has. She simply is in love with her. "I love you." Suisei says it out loud, maybe because of the atmosphere around them, and she can't contain the way her heart bursts when Miko kisses her lips again, the kiss is short and more innocent than their first.

Miko giggles, and that makes something flutter in her stomach. She likes the sound, maybe it's the best sound she's ever heard. "I love you too." Miko placed her arms on the neck and pulled it closer until their foreheads touched. "I already loved you long ago, idiot."

"Hey, don't call me that." Suisei wants to protest, but the voice she lets out is just as gentle as a cloud.

"Yeah, you're an idiot. You ask the people on the internet using my X account." Suisei can't help but laugh at her stupidity, and Miko follows her afterwards.

Maybe this is what she's waiting for, the moment she can stay with Miko so she and Miko don't have to feel alone again.

It feels like she was made for this.

For staying with Miko forever.

For loving her.

Even though they may be just a pair of hopeless hearts that are passing through, she has a choice, she can stay with her.
