The match was really heating up. The players went faster and faster, hitting the ball back and forth at a quicken speed. Running from one side of the court to another, Zira kept telling herself “stay alert! Keep focus!” It was intense. Their opponent hit the ball quickly, swiftly hurtling it towards the ground at the other side of the court. Zira dashed as quickly as she could towards it. When suddenly she felt herself trip.
CRACK
She fell to the ground, hitting it with a loud thump as the crowd gasped and concerned murmurs came from the ground. Zira winced in pain as her ankle throbbed. As they laid on the ground, they heard a panicked voice call out to them. “ZIRA!!!” It was Aika. She jumped up from her seat at the side-lines and came running towards her friend.
“OH MY GOUDA, ZIRA! ARE YOU OK?” she yelled, kneeling down next to her on the (court ground). “Y-yeah... I’m fine” she reassured. But when she tried to get up, a shock of extreme pain suddenly jolted through her leg causing her to fall again. “Don’t try getting up! Just sit right here!” Aika instructed, putting an arm around her. She pulled down Zira’s sports sock to see her ankle was completely swollen. “I think you sprained, Zira!” she explained. “Oh gosh, really?!”she winced, looking down at her ankle. It made sense with how painful it felt.
“We need to get you an ice pack or something, they probably have one in the nurses’ office!” she exclaimed. “I... don’t think I can wa-“. Just then, Aika put both her arms under Zira and lifted her off the ground with ease. Zira was in shock. “h-h-HUH!?” she stuttered, her face turning a shade of red as Aika rushed off towards the nurses’ office. “Don’t worry, Zira! I got you!” she declared. “S-since when have you b-been this strong?!” they stammered. “I guess I just built up strength from being a magical girl” she said with a shrug.
And so Aika dropped her friend off at the nurses’ office to heal her sprained ankle. And also to test for a fever. Zira had gotten quite warm and sweaty since Aika brought her in!
