The episode opens up to the display of a winter resort covered in snow and the icy lakes and then a tall dude with blonde hair, brown eyes and professional looking clothing walks up on the deck putting himself on display for the cameras to see
"Hello, everyone! You may not know me yet but my name is Frederick Kenneth Watterson and you can call me the host of the next biggest thing or... just Fred for short but without further ado let's get started on the very first episode of Battle. Of. Ambition!"
The intro starts off with Frederick smiling and waving at the camera as the camera zooms into the winter resort showing Monika tending to some flowers only for Xander to step on them while laughing causing Monika to stand up and slap him then the camera cuts to Janice arguing with Erin and then Darrell comes over and blows a whistle causing it to stop then Ophelia shows up twirling then leaps gracefully away from view causing Darrell to be distracted and Janice pounces at Erin and Darrell tries breaking up the fight then the camera cuts to Izura practicing combat only to accidentally punch Preston in the face then the camera cuts to Zacharie following an annoyed Felix and trying to talk to him then Felix yells at him and while Harvey is walking by reading a book Felix stops and grabs Harvey's book and throws it at Zacharie then the camera cuts to Sage holding a cute bird on her finger which Kelsey awed and starts singing causing the bird to jump and flap its wings with joy as Sage watches happily only for Willa to walk in front of them and release evil birds from her hat causing the bird to get scared and quickly fly away then the evil birds come after Sage while Kelsey watches in horror then the camera shows Allen casually walking by and Sage running and pouncing Allen knocking them both to the ground as the birds fly past them and then the camera shows Sage and Allen on the ground then Sage and Allen realize their close proximity and Sage quickly gets off Allen and smiles awkwardly at him while he does the same, both blushing with embarrassment as they chuckle awkwardly then the camera cuts to Vance sitting on a tree stump meditating then Raytheon pops up unaware of Vance and plays his guitar loudly causing Vance to cover his ears then the camera cuts to Bianca adjusting an outfit while Quincy watches with interest then Bianca steps aside and reveals the outfit causing Quincy to clap happily but the moment is ruined when Carmen skates by on her roller skates however she skates on a mud puddle causing mud to splash on the outfit and both girls causing Bianca to scowl and Quincy to frown then the camera pans out to Leon capturing a picture of the disaster that just transpired with his camera while giggling to himself then the camera cuts to Tiffany posing while Gabrielle draws her and once Tiffany stops posing she smiles waiting for the results of the drawing only to be astonished that the drawing was of a clown which shifts to anger as she yells at a smug Gabrielle who just smirks at her then the camera cuts to Nathaniel pondering as he then notices a hole and he smirks smugly thinking he found an advantage and goes down to get a closer look and leans a bit closer only to have a racoon suddenly pounce at him and claw at his face while he screams and runs while frantically trying to get the racoon off him then the camera moves up towards the sun which transitions to the moon in the night sky as the camera moves down to everyone peacefully roasting marshmallows together and Frederick then walking into frame and waving at the camera which zooms out from them and pans back up at the moon showing the logo of the season as the intro concludes
Fred then pulls out a remote with a big red button right in the middle and presses it causing a portal to open and 24 teenagers ranging from 14-16 to fall out of the portal and pile onto one another
"Welcome everyone to your worst hell! A.K.A Camp Frozglaure" Fred says eagerly
"Don't have to say that again." A pale skinned blonde boy says as he brushes dust off his blue hoodie and adjusts his glasses
"Where are we and why is it so cold?" A boy with bleached light brown hair and an acne filled face on his mixed-race said shivering uncontrollably
"Because we're in the middle of winter." A guy with pale skin with dirty blonde hair says "So, why are you dressed like that?"
"Because I was hanging with my distant relatives in Florida..." The acne boy says while sighing
"Ow, my head!" A girl with a bun in her hair says as she places her hand on her head
"Here, let me help!" A guy with lightly tanned skin says as he grabs her hand, the contact sending a jolt of electricity through him which gets sent to her and once the girl gets up the two put their hands behind their backs while blushing and giggling like giddy middle schoolers when their crush looks at them and looking away from the other
"Well, if we're going to be here together for who knows how much time then we should atleast get to know each other, I'll go first!" A girl with tanned skin says while smiling showing her dimples she then clears her throat
"Hi, I'm Monika! And who should you be?" Monika says as she places her hand on the tanned boys shoulder
"I'm Xander, I guess but if you'd like... you could call me yours." Xander says while smirking and raising his eyebrow at Monika
Monika looked unpleased and took her hand off his shoulder "That's not gonna happen." She says
"Hello, everyone! My name's Ophelia!" Ophelia says with excitement as she waves while slightly adjusting the bow in her hair
"Well then, everyone I'm tired of all the talking and I wanna get the teams over with so let's start with Team 1" Fred says
"Quincy" Fred says to a dark skinned girl who is dressed in red and black cheerleader attire fidgeting with a curl in her hair
"Bianca" Fred says to a dark skinned girl with vitiligo who has her hand on her hip as she gives him a skeptical look
"Leon" Fred says to a dark skinned guy as he takes a picture of three birds flying across the sky
"Xander" Fred says to a tanned skin guy who is using a lighter to set fire to a leaf in his hand while smiling mischievously
"Ophelia" Fred says to a pale skinned girl as she fixes her corset and puts her hands on her hips with a smile as her name is called
"Tiffa-" Fred tries to say however suddenly nearby paparazzi show up and Tiffany notices the paparazzi and poses for the pictures while flipping her blonde hair and making herself look more appealing
"Shoo! Shoo! We're in the middle of filming!" Fred says to the paparazzi while shooing them away and Tiffany watches the paparazzi run away and gives a soft chuckle
Fred then sighs "Where were we... Oh, yes! Tiffany already called on you soooo...." Fred says while looking at his list
"Janice!" Fred says pointing at the tanned skin girl as she gave him a dirty look
"Erin!" Fred says to the pale skinned person as they smile and give finger guns right back at him causing Fred to visibly cringe however he holds back to look more professional "Okay then..." Fred says
"Monika!" Fred says to Monika causing her smile to widen with joy
"Felix!" Fred says to Felix who seems unfazed and he rolls his eyes.
"Izura!" Fred says to the dark skinned girl who appears stoic
"And Darrell!" Fred says to the lightly tanned skinned guy and he smiles more.
"You guys will now be known as..." Fred says and he tossed the flag for team 1 to Darrell and the flag fell in his hands showing a logo of a chipmunk "The Chilling Chipmunks!"
Most of the team stands silently unfazed while some seem happy while Quincy just looks a bit bummed
"Okay, now let's move onto Team 2!"
"Harvey!" Fred says to the pale skinned boy with the long dark brown hair
"Sage!" Fred says to the pale skinned girl in the princess attire
"Allen!" Fred says to which Allen just responds with adjusting his glasses
"Vance!" Fred says to the albino boy
"Carmen!" Fred says to the blue haired girl with white skin
"Zacharie!" Fred says to the mixed boy
"Nathaniel!" Fred says to the pale skinned blonde haired boy
"Kelsey!" Fred says however the paparazzi show up once again and Fred is fed up
"JUST GO AWAY!" Fred says spraying the paparazzi with pepper spray causing them to run away while screaming and crying
"You didn't have to do that, I could've just given them my autograph." Kelsey says
"Well, it's too late for that now isn't it?" Fred says
"Willa!" Fred says to the girl to the girl in the magician attire doing some type of trick on a leaf that causes it to turn pink
"Raytheon!" Fred says to the dark skinned guy who seems unfazed with headphones in and turns up the volume
"Preston!" Fred says to the pale skinned boy who smiles big and starts cheering like he won the Super Bowl
"And Gabrielle!" Fred says to the dark skinned girl with red hair as she covers her ears with an annoyed expression
"You guys will be known as..." Fred then tosses team 2 their flag caught by Kelsey as the flag falls showing the logo of a snake "The Snarky Snakes!"
The team is silent and unfazed and the only sounds heard are the sound of Raytheon's music coming from his headphones and a nearby cricket which is ultimately crushed by Allen
"Tough crowd.." Fred says
"So... what do we do now?" Janice asks
"Yeah, and why is there no cabins?" Gabrielle asks
The others then look around and realize that there indeed are no cabins in sight
"You seriously brought us here and are going to leave us to suffer in the cold like this??? For what harsh motivation?" Tiffany asks angered
"Woah, woah, woah! I knew one of you was gonna point that out but I'm gonna make something clear, the only reason we don't have cabins is because they were really old and infested with termites but you guys will get to make your own shelters instead!" Fred says with enthusiasm
"How exactly are we supposed to do that?" Kelsey asks
"I guess we're just supposed to work with what we have..." Harvey says
"Correct! And considering we don't exactly have much around here except for well... snow, snow and even more snow. You guys will be making igloos for your shelters! "Ta-da!'" Fred says while chuckling
The others gave him dirty glares and Fred then stopped laughing
"What? Would you guys rather freeze? You know what? Raise your right hand if you'd rather build a shelter and raise your left if you'd rather have no shelter at all" Fred says
Everyone except Izura raise their right hand
"Why would you rather have no shelter than any shelter at all?" Erin asked
"Because, either way we're still laying in snow and it's not like I've been in worse predicaments." Izura says
"Well, it's still 11 to you on our team so-" Erin says but is cut off
"You expect me to care? If so then I expect you not to when I slap you across your fucking face." Izura says angrily to Erin
Xander notices and nudges Felix with his elbow "Hey, look, we got Dangerous Danielle over here." Xander says and Felix looks over and a ghost of a smile shows up as Xander chuckles
"Leave her alone, she's probably just a bit tense also just standing around and arguing isn't getting anything done either we need to get this shelter done if we even want one." Monika says
"She's right, let's just get this over with." Leon says
Everyone thinks and just decide to go along with it
Meanwhile with the snakes
"So how do we make an igloo?" Zacharie asks
"My dad used to make a kinda igloo for me and my siblings during the winter time" Carmen says
"What do you mean kinda?" Nathaniel asks
"They looked a little lopsided" Carmen says
"Are you sure about a little?" Nathaniel asks
"Hey, I found a bucket." Zacharie says and sheepishly smiles while holding up the bucket
"What are we gonna need that fo-" Raytheon asks
"Oh, I don't know to help make the igloo." Vance says
"Oh yeah..." Raytheon says
"Well then, what are we waiting for? let's build ourselves something to sleep in!" Sage says excitedly
Willa cheers and snatches the bucket from Zach and starts filling it with snow and places it down like a sandcastle and lifts up the bucket
"Uhm, Zach, we have more buckets, right?" Allen asks
Zacharie thinks for a second then realizes he'd only managed to find one bucket "Crap, that was the only one I could find, sorry guys..." Zacharie said with shame
Willa noticed Zacharie's sadness and placed a reassuring hand on his head and gave it a few pats
"No worries, my friend! For I have a trick up my sleeve, literally!" Willa says and she reaches into her sleeve and pulls out her wand
"Abracadabra!" Willa exclaims and uses her wand on the bucket causing there to now be 12 buckets while everyone watches stunned
"Now, we can all do our parts!" Willa says cheerfully causing nearly everyone to cheer
Meanwhile with the Chipmunks
Everyone is working on the shelter and Bianca turns her head to Quincy and remembered how Quincy looked down when the team names were revealed
"Hey, you alright?" She asks
Quincy turns to Bianca "Uhh, yeah."
"You looked upset earlier, do you wanna talk about why?" Bianca asks and she places a tentative hand on Quincy's shoulder
Quincy is a bit taken back by the touch but takes a deep breath "Sure." Quincy says
"Alright, I'm all ears." Bianca says
Quincy sighs "I suppose that I felt down because I'm on a team with nobody I know." Quincy says
Bianca chuckles a little but realizes she probably did at the wrong time and clears her throat "Sorry, but doesn't everyone here not know each other?" Bianca asks with a hint of curiosity in her voice
"I don't know if you'd believe me, but my cousin is in the game as well and he's on the other team and now that I'm not on a team with the one person I know I guess I just feel.. alone and I'm scared of being alone and I don't know what to do!" Quincy says with fear and sadness in her voice and she starts tearing up a little
"Hey, calm down... you're not alone in this game." Bianca says placing her other hand on Quincy's other shoulder to soothe her
Quincy sniffles and wipes her eyes that already have tears falling "I'm not?" She asks
"No, you're not. You have me!" Bianca says and hugs Quincy causing Quincy to lean into it and hug her back
"Hate to interrupt your little therapy session you have going on here but our shelter isn't gonna get done any faster." Leon says sympathetically
"I'm sorry, Leo. I just need to calm down." Quincy says
Leon nods in understanding "Okay, you have 5 minutes." Leon says and goes back to help the others
"Thank you for making me feel better." Quincy says
"No problem, it's the least I could do." Bianca says and she starts helping again
Meanwhile with the Snakes
Nearly everyone is also working on the shelter
"Thankfully we're nearly halfway done then we can just... wait, what do we do after?" Kelsey asks
"I suppose we just do what we want?" Raytheon says uncertainly
"Uh, guys?" Preston asks only for him to be ignored
"He wouldn't just let us do that, we'd have to wait till after the challenge to see what he says." Nathaniel says
"Wait, this is a challenge?!" Zacharie asks
"Guys?" Preston asks again only to be ignored again
"Yeah, of course it is! Otherwise, why would he make us do this?" Nathaniel says annoyed
"Well, I-" Zacharie tries to defend himself
"GUYS!!!!" Preston yells causing everyone to look at him however his yelling shook the ground and their shelter fell over
"Fuck!" Raytheon yells angrily
"Great, Preston, Just great! What did you wanna tell us that was so great you had to knock over our shelter, huh?!" Nathaniel says
"Gabrielle isn't here!" Preston says worried
"What?!" Allen says
Everyone starts looking around
"Hey, why's that bucket over there?" Zacharie asks and points at the bucket
"Why didn't anyone notice that Gabrielle wasn't there or that she didn't even grab a bucket???" Allen asks
"Because you guys are blind." Vance says
"Yeah, like you're one to talk." Harvey says angrily
"Because I am, I noticed she was missing but I didn't feel like saying anything." Vance says
Everyone stares at him like he killed their dog
"Great." Nathaniel says
"You saw where she went atleast, right?" Sage asks
Vance just stares at her
"Right?" Sage asks again
"That means no." Nathaniel says
"Guys, don't worry! I'll go look for her!" Carmen says
"Fine, but don't go missing either, we already have one missing teammate and I don't wanna imagine having two missing teammates." Harvey says
"I won't, now, I'll be right back!" Carmen says and she darts into the woods
"I wouldn't be surprised if she got eaten by a bear." Nathaniel says
"Or if Slenderman got her!" Willa says
"Slenderman isn't real." Harvey says
"You don't know that!" Willa cries out angrily
"Well then, if Slenderman is real then I'm annoying." Preston says
"AND YOU ARE!" Willa yells
"Finally she's right about something." Nathaniel mutters to himself
Meanwhile with Gabrielle.
Gabrielle hums while sketching a picture of a girl that looks much like herself as an angel of some sorts as she's absorbed into her work
Carmen hears the humming and recognizes her red hair and walks behind her and notices her drawing
"Hey, you got some skill there! Maybe you could use some of your skills to help with the shelter or-" Carmen says which gets cut off by Gabrielle letting out a startled scream
"What are you doing out here?!" Gabrielle asks with fear.
"Me? Why are you out here?" Carmen asks
"I suppose I just got a little overwhelmed and needed somewhere to cool off..." Gabrielle says softly
"Hey, well you could've just told someone where you were going." Carmen says
"I know, but I'm not very good with talking to others, especially people I just met." Gabrielle says
"Well, I'd say you're doing a decent job at that with me." Carmen says and chuckles
Gabrielle chuckles a little too
"Thanks for that, I suppose I'll help with the shelter to make up for leaving without anyone knowing..." Gabrielle says
"Well, that's one step into getting better within the social hierarchy!" Carmen says and takes Gabrielle's hand
"Come on, let's head back!" Carmen says excitedly while running with Gabrielle
Meanwhile with the Chipmunks.
"Okay, and... done!" Darrell says as they finish the last bit of their igloo
"Wow, we did great!" Ophelia says happily while hugging Darrell causing him to lightly blush, he'd never anticipated that he'd be hugged by someone as lovely as her, however Ophelia also realized what she was doing causing her to blush too and the two quickly seperate
"Okay, let's look at your shelter!" Frederick says and he studies the igloo "Hmmm, looking good!" He says and gives a thumbs up causing the team to cheer
"That means we win the challenge!" Tiffany cheers
"Uhh, I never said this was a challenge." Fred says
"So, you're telling me we did all this work and for what??" Janice says angered
"You did it so that you had a shelter, duh." Fred says "but let's go look at the other teams shelter"
Fred then walks over and sees the other teams igloo and it looks about as lopsided as the igloos Carmen's father used to make maybe even more considering it was leaning like the Tower of Pisa
"Well, you... definitely tried but that doesn't mean I'm giving you sympathy it looks ugly and I'm impressed you even managed to make a shelter." Fred says
Everyone frowns.
"This wouldn't have happened if someone hadn't messed up the shelter in the first place and make us fall behind in the challenge" Nathaniel says
Fred then face palms and sighs "This was NOT a challenge!" Fred says angrily
"I told you!" Zacharie said to Nathaniel
"Shut up!" Nathaniel shouts at Zach
"Both of you shut up." Fred says and walks away but not long after coming back with the other team
"The ACTUAL first challenge is next episode and that's when someone will get eliminated so be glad none of you guys are at risk right now, kapeesh?" Fred says and sighs and walks away
The contestants just stand there before walking away and back to their igloos to rest up for the first challenge of the season and then the episode ends
