    “How are you, Viktor?” The doctor’s voice is genial as he takes off his coat, dressed in a well-fitted suit with his beat-up leather bag beside him. He’s a handsome young man, close to Viktor’s age, with tan skin and a neat haircut. The scar on his eyebrow is familiar, comforting almost, and Viktor anxiously leads the doctor to their bedroom.

    “I’ve been doing well, Dr. Talis.”

    As Viktor sits on the bed, Dr. Talis puts his bag down on the bed next to him. It’s almost too personal, but Viktor lets it slide. “I’m glad. You sound good. Much better than last time I saw you.”
