Chapter Text
The winter wind cut through the silence of Mondstadt, sharp and bitter.
But it wasn’t the weather that made the air feel cold.
Nor the thin snow beginning to fall from the overcast sky.
That day, one name filled the entire meeting hall of the Knights of Favonius:
Kaeya Alberich.
A witness from Liyue.
A confidential message from Fontaine.
And an in-depth investigation led by Lisa.
Together, they revealed one bitter truth:
Kaeya was not only of Khaenri’ahn blood—
He was still actively receiving transmissions from the remnants of its underground network.
A spy.
“The evidence is clear,” Lisa said, calm but firm, tossing a stack of documents onto the table.
“External codes from beyond Teyvat. Coded messages. And the name ‘Alberich’... appears more than once.”
Jean closed her eyes, her breath unsteady.
She had always known there was something... not quite honest about Kaeya.
But she never imagined it would be this heavy.
“Bring him back alive,” Jean said, her voice trembling but resolute. She turned toward the window.
“Don’t treat him as an enemy. Let me speak to him first.”
Amber lowered her head in disbelief.
Lisa said nothing, her hand tightening around her spellbook.
The meeting ended with a single, silent mission:
Capture Kaeya Alberich.
