MYSTIC FLOUR COOKIE
“Misty, there's something outside!” Cloud Haetae squeaked, running over to Mystic Flour. “How many times have I told you, don’t call me that.” Mystic Flour responded, looking over at the smaller cookie. “Well, there's something out there!!”
“What was it?” She asks, looking towards the door. “It was big and- and covered in fuzzy stuff! It was bigger than here!” Cloud Haetae says, gesturing to where they were. “Show me.” Mystic Flour said, and Cloud Haetae ran towards the door. They jumped for a moment to reach the door, before pouting as Mystic Flour opened the door for them. They ran outside, and Mystic Flour followed behind as they heard a loud snap. When they stopped running, Mystic Flour saw the large creature they were talking about. Large was an understatement; this creature was maybe three times their size. It had sharp teeth and small yet sharp rows of claws on each hand. Mystic Flour tried to use her powers on it, but instead, only the things around it faded to flour, enraging the creature. Her expression changes to one of surprise for a moment before dropping back to her normal empty look. “What is this creature?” She asks, looking at Cloud Haetae. “I dunno-” they start before the creature jumps on them, their words being cut off into a scream as two dozen sharp claws dug into their back. Mystic Flour's eyes went wide, and she lunged forward, grabbing the small cookie and dragging it away from the creature before running back towards her home. She ran inside, shutting the door behind her as the creature chased her. She held the trembling Cloud Haetae to her chest as the creature threw itself at the door over and over. A window broke, and a claw stabbed through the wall next to them, and she ran to the other side of the room. She looked down at Cloud Haetae, and to her surprise, they were shockingly uninjured, the worst being a medium-sized cut. She looked back up at the wall as the creature tore through it.
SHADOW MILK COOKIE
“Master Shadow Milk, it seems we have a visitor.” Black Sapphire said, flying over to Shadow Milk, who was doing something.
“Well, who is it?” He asked, not looking at his minion. “Mystic Flour Cookie and the small fluffy thing.” Shadow Milk jumped up, tossing what he was doing behind him at the wall, grabbing his staff. “Well, why didn’t you tell me!” He says, floating over to the door. “I just did!” Black Sapphire points out, following him.
“Well, not fast enough!” He exclaims, opening the door. His eyes widened seeing Mystic Flour, her normally flat and clean hair tangled with dirt and wood in it. “The hell happened to you?” He asked as she pushed past him. “Hey!”
“A… creature found and attacked me and Cloud Haetae. It destroyed our home, and on our way here, we saw multiple other creatures. We have no severe injuries besides some cuts on Cloud Haetae.” Mystic Flour explains, showing the small scratches. “Did any of them follow you? I swear if one of them followed you, I'll kill you later.”
“If one of them followed me, then I don’t believe you can kill me later. It might kill us both first.” Mystic Flour replies, watching him.
“It scares me how you always sound so calm while saying terrifying things.” Shadow Milk complains, noticing Cloud Haetae slightly shaking in Mystic Flour's arms. “Black Sapphire, check Cloud Haetae and do your best to fix it.”
“I don’t know anything about medical stuff!” Black Sapphire points out. “Figure it out!” Shadow Milk says before leading Mystic Flour over to some chairs. “Thank you for allowing us to be here, Shadow Milk.”
“Yeah, yeah, whatever. You owe me.” He says with sarcasm, but she doesn’t seem to care. “The creature seems to be immune to my power. I do not know how it would work for you or one of the others, but I can assume it would not end well.”
“Oh yeah, wow, thanks for the negativity. CANDY APPLE GET OVER HERE!” Within a few seconds of him saying that, the small cookie was standing in front of him, her energetic demeanor annoying as always. “Yes, master Shadow Milk?” She asked, bouncing with excitement.
“Go outside and see if there are any uh, what did they look like again?”
“Large white creature with long claws and teeth.” Mystic Flour explained. “That, go outside and see how many there are.” Candy Apple nods rapidly before running out the door, giggling.
“Your minion is… interesting.” Mystic Flour observed, watching the door slam shut behind the tiny cookie. “Black Sapphire is better.”
Black Sapphire in the other room heard that and smiled, before being bitten by Cloud Haetae.
Candy Apple ran back into the spire with a look of terror on her face. “THERE ARE A LOT AND THEY'RE BIG AND ONE SAW ME!!” She screeched, followed by a loud bang on the wall. “Candy Apple Cookie, you absolute idiot.” Black Sapphire yelled from the other room, walking into the room with a very bitey Cloud Haetae under his arm. Another loud bang was heard as the wall began to crack, and Cloud Haetae jumped out of Black Sapphires' hold, running over to Mystic Flour. The spire shook as the creature broke down the wall, chunks of the wall falling towards them. Shadow Milk grabbed his minions and began running as another creature rammed into a different wall, breaking through and pinning him under a claw. Out of the corner of his vision, he saw Candy Apple hitting it with her enormous apples as its claw pressed down on his chest, before he heard a loud crack and the sound of Black Sapphire crying out.
He tried to look towards the sound but was unable to as the claw pressed deeper, his magic not working, before suddenly the claw released him as Candy Apple hit it with a larger apple. He got up, looking around and seeing Black Sapphire covering his eye, blood seeping through his fingers.
As he was running towards him, he could only watch as one of the creatures grabbed Black Sapphire, its claws piercing his side as blood stained the fabric before throwing him at the remnants of one of the walls, a sickening crack being heard. Shadow Milk ran towards him, worry evident on his face as he grabbed Black Sapphire, who was now clutching his side. He pulled Black Sapphire to his feet, looking around and seeing Candy Apple being chased by the creature and Mystic Flour pinned under debris, Cloud Haetae pawing at it. He quickly ran over to Mystic Flour, ignoring Black Sapphire's pain from running as he began trying to push the debris off of his fellow beast. He helped Mystic Flour up, seeing that she was mostly unharmed, along with Cloud Haetae.
Mystic Flour helped Shadow Milk pull Black Sapphire outside of the spire, looking inside at Candy Apple running around with the creatures chasing her, and then at the slowly crumbling spire. Shadow Milk's eyes widened before yelling.“CANDY APPLE! Get the hell out of there!” She looked at him for a moment before running towards them as the spire collapsed, barely getting out as the creatures were crushed. She ran towards them, about to jump on him, when Black Sapphire collapsed, Shadow Milk quickly grabbing him and helping him lean against him. They stared at the remains of the spire for a moment before Mystic Flour spoke. “We must leave before more of those creatures find us.”
“Where the hell are we supposed to go, idiot??”
“I do not know, please calm down before you attract more of those creatures.” She said, and he rolled his eyes. “Come on…” He grumbles, moving to walk and then realizing Black Sapphire can’t walk. He sighed before grabbing Black Sapphire and picking him up, carrying him on his back as Mystic Flour picked up Cloud Haetae and began walking. Shadow Milk followed, walking significantly slower due to carrying Black Sapphire, and Candy Apple skipped along next to him.
