Chapter Text
It was a sunny morning outside the day Shadow milk cookie had finally agreed to take a walk with Pure vanilla in the garden. The scent of sweet vanilla filled the air as they wandered through the garden of the Vanilla kingdoms outstanding castle.
It had only recently been restored, and yet it seemed like not even a year had passed since before the dark flour war.
The cream sheep and blue birds roamed the garden, two blue birds sitting by the pavilion, already waiting for Pure Vanilla cookie to arrive. The two birds immediately flew away they saw Shadow milk cookie approaching, as they sensed he was no good from their view.
Pure vanilla cookie seemed a bit disappointed by their fleeing, but couldn’t blame them. Meanwhile, Shadow milk cookie was rather displeased by the fact that there’s birds there at all.
“These stupid birds…”
“Now, now shadow milk. I am sure they will grow more accustomed to you as time passes.” Pure vanilla cookie said ever so gently laying a hand on the jester’s shoulder. His touch was warm like the sun, and yet not the slightest bit of sensation was number by the colored fabric of shadow milks cookie’s clothes. The touch of the almost angelic being sent a flush through his body.
*So gentle…so soft…So careful…so empathetic. Emotional. Pitying. Pathetic. Gross. Disgusting. Enraging.*
How could he just forgive him for all he had done? The truth was, those thoughts were not about Pure vanilla at all. It was shadow milks cookies thoughts at his own reaction to such a…weakening thing.
The soft sensation disappeared as quickly as it was present, the moment he felt pure vanilla cookie’s grip tighten, his nails digging into his shoulder. It was a painful sting compared to the previously gentle touch.
“Ah…my apologies.” Pure vanilla cookie gave an apologetic smile at the fact he just stumbled and gripped onto Shadow milk cookie for support.
*I really hope my momentarily trembles won’t be too much for him. You can’t be any cause of worry. Do not be a burden. You are not allowed to be a burden. You can’t. Under any circumstances. Fail.*
Shadow milk cookie tried to hide his concern for pure vanilla, his trembling was worrying enough. Shadow milk cookie himself was rather frail in his own body without his magic, and he didn’t have the same trembling as Pure vanilla. He knew how weak his one dough was…so something was definitely wrong.
The tension was interrupted by a slight rumble from pure vanilla as stomach. Rather quiet, but it broke through the tension like a stone thrown through a glass house.
Shadow milk cookie snickered slightly, as he found such humane things amusing.
Pure vanilla too, tried to chuckle it off as lightheartedly as shadow milk, despite the pain in his stomach. The hunger was painful, yet numb, as it felt like his stomach was sucking itself in, consuming itself. Slowly. Draining him.
“You hungry already? It was only a few hours ago since breakfast.”
“No, that just…happens sometimes. I didn’t have a lot today.”
*Thats a lie.*
Shadow milk thought at his words. As the master of deceit, it was easy for him to detect a lie. And knowing pure vanilla, he most likely hadn’t had anything. What a poor attempt of a lie for the light of truth.
Shadow milk subconsciously placed a hand on pure vanillas waist to support the king as they both sat down by the pavilion.
