   Summary

   Yue Qingyuan hadn’t been starving himself of touch, exactly. He did the hand-touch greetings that he was supposed to, attended the peak lord nap times, and he would never dare refuse the touch of anyone, violating social principles in such a flagrant way.

   Yet, years of neglect had built up, clogging Yue Qingyuan's meridians, changing the flow of his qi, and affecting his core as he deprived himself of what his cultivation needed. His core had been formed with it, his life force trapped in his sword with it, like a corrupt cornerstone of what he had built of himself.
