Not Cool Bro

Summary:

Freminet actually hadn't thought of that, despite it being one of the most obvious solutions, but nobody needed to know that. Especially not Gaming.

Notes:

I wrote this all IMMEDIATELY after waking up from a one hour nap. I get inspiration? I take it.

Work Text:

Freminet was losing his patience.

This was rare for Freminet, he was an assassin after all — he had to be patient, it was practically drilled into him.

However, that all seemed to have melted away from his very being. The one singular cause of this?

Nobody believes he managed to get a boyfriend. Not even his siblings ! The very people that are meant to trust and believe him!

When he first mentioned it after returning from his month-long assignment to Liyue, Lyney had looked at him incredulously, almost as if he had told him that the world they live in isn’t actually real.

How ridiculous.

Gaming laughed when he told him that no one believed him. His own boyfriend, he was seriously starting to believe that this was all some elaborate joke that he wasn’t let in on.

“It’s not funny!” He said, glaring at him from the other side of the room. “Seriously. Nobody believes me at all.”

“Then just bring me over, they’ll surely believe you then, won't they?”

“That's what I was thinking, I was going to suggest it.”

Freminet actually hadn't thought of that, despite it being one of the most obvious solutions, but nobody needed to know that. Especially not Gaming.

————————————

Freminet shifted his weight from foot to foot as Lyney looked to Gaming, then him, and then Gaming again.

The pair had agreed on a day to finally put this whole thing to rest, a perfectly normal, calm, lovely summer's day. (At least he hoped it’d stay that way, but his life is far from normal.)

“So you’re the boyfriend?” Lyney asked, scrutinizing Gaming.

After a nod, from Gaming, Lyney stared for a few more seconds and grinned . That dumb shit-eating grin like something he was planning was successful.

“Alright then, I’ll see you both at dinner later! Can’t wait to learn more about you Gaming.”

Freminet then came to the realization that this was all a stunt to get him to bring Gaming over, and it was worked. He fell for it.

He swore he’d get him back one of these days.
