Summary
Life has been long for Rosa Velasco. As an early trainee of the Black Widow program, her life has been drenched in pain and blood for as long as she can remember. Longer than most, because Rosa was given something none of her successors would get: the Red Room's version of the super soldier serum. But the Red Room wasn't trying to create soldiers, they were trying to create spies and assassins. Rosa became exactly what they wanted. Her tenure as a Black Widow made the most lethal weapon in their arsenal; her scores are what future Widows would have to aspire to.
Until it all went wrong. The mission in Ohio was supposed to be simple, but she should have known it wouldn't be. It was an undercover op, and for a long time, it did go fine. And when it all came crashing down, a single stray shot and a split second decision gives Rosa everything she wanted in the complete wrong way.
Almost twenty years later, Rosa finally gets a shot at putting everything right, putting everything back together. Whispers of Hydra movements in DC have Rosa trying to get to Natasha without tipping off the wrong people and now... well, now she's willing to risk it all. The past is catching up to Rosa Velasco whether she's ready or not.
