I Wanna See Your Peepy (PP)

Summary:

“Hey Zeal, did you see the picture that I sent you in DMs?”

Zeal’s hand stilled, a tiny smile appearing on his face as he tilted his head just slightly. “Yeah. That’s one cute PP you have there, Kaelix.”

What. The. Fuck.

Or, Kaelix just wanted to talk to Zeal about his Peepy (PP). Being in public was probably not the best idea. Misunderstandings ensued. That’s literally it.

Work Text:

Kaelix Debonair loves to yap.

Whenever it is about the stories about his loving family or mourning his tragic inability to eat bananas, the lively bouncer of the livehouse always finds a way to bring up something new. Anyone near him is quick to give him their full attention—his expressive arms moving animately every time he opens his mouth.

More than anything, Kaelix delights in sharing his interests.

His eyes light up in joy, his voice brimming with excitement, and a wide grin spreads across his face whenever someone asks him about his favorite things—whether it is The Legend of Zelda or his undying love for monkeys.

Kaelix’s passion for sharing his interests is no secret, so it is no surprise that nearly everyone who knows the bouncer has heard about his ever-changing fixations.

Be it while welcoming patrons at the livehouse entrance or when sitting at the bar, chatting with his fellow BY THE BEAT members, he always finds a way to sneak in his current obsessions into conversations.

No one really minds—many find the young bouncer’s antics quite endearing. They love seeing how his face brightens up and the corner of his lips curls into a grin whenever he launches into another enthusiastic conversation.

But then, one night, Kaelix mentioned something…unexpected.

It was another bustling evening at the livehouse: the murmur of patrons echoed in the air, a band played lively tunes in the background, and the clink of glasses rang out behind the bar.

Kaelix was at his post, greeting guests and checking IDs with his signature smile. Zeal stood at the mini bar, calmly pouring drinks and entertaining customers with his composed smile. Seible and Freodore were nowhere to be seen in the main area of the livehouse—likely backstage, attending to their own business.

Nothing unusual was happening—until the bouncer decided to wander over to the bar at the left side of the room

After hours of standing by the entrance, Kaelix’s legs were beginning to feel a little sore. He saw this as the perfect excuse to take a break and grab his favorite drink.

Though mostly, he just wanted to pester the man behind the bar: Zeal Ginjoka

Who also happened to be Kaelix’s wonderful, loving boyfriend.

Zeal and Kaelix were the livehouse’s beloved couple.

Almost everyone who knew these two was aware of their relationship—it was impossible to miss. Kaelix would happily bounce over to the bar just to talk with his beloved bartender, while Zeal would stand there quietly, listening with open ears and an even more open heart.

There was also the occasional teasing from Zeal—calling Kaelix with pet names and slipping in not-so-innocent innuendos between casual conversations. This usually results in Kaelix squealing and whining, his cheeks flushed bright red.

Though there were just as many sweet moments between them—so tender they could give anyone around them a sugar rush. Anyone could tell how deeply they cared for each other. They always made sure to look after one another, like they shared some quiet magic that let them sense exactly how the other was feeling.

Everything about this couple was simply endearing.

Back to the present, Kaelix happily walked over to the bar and plopped down on an empty stool. He leaned forward dramatically, elbows resting on the counter and chin propped in his palms as he gazed at Zeal—who had just finished serving a drink to another patron.

When their eyes met, Zeal’s face lit up with a wide smile. He walked over to Kaelix, hands clasped behind his back. Once he reached his lover’s side, he leaned down slightly, his lips curling into a playful smirk.

“And what can I offer the infamous bouncer of the livehouse?” Zeal asked, trying to sound professional—but the grin on his lips betrayed him.

“The usual for me, Mr. Ginjoka.” Kaelix responded with the same playful tone, giggling. “You know what I mean, right?”

Zeal chuckled, his hands already moving as he began to prepare the drink for his beloved darling bouncer. Kaelix watched, amused, as the bartender moved smoothly and elegantly around the bar, crafting his special drink.

The Kaelix-Debonair-Special—that’s what Zeal liked to call it. A drink he had created with Kaelix in mind, inspired by his style, personality, and favorite flavors.

A few minutes later, Zeal handed the drink to Kaelix, who immediately took a sip and let out a small, satisfied moan as the taste hits his tongue. “Ah~! That’s it! I’ve been craving this for hours. Finally, I get to enjoy the special drink you made for me.”

“Of course,” Zeal answered, grabbing a stool and sitting across from Kaelix, staring at him with the most loving gaze. ‘Everything for you.” Kaelix let out a delighted giggle from that.

Kaelix started to spark up a conversation with Zeal—talking about this game that he had started to play after a friend recommended it to him. There was also something about how Zeal has an interest to it, earning a loud excited clap from his lover, who asked if they wanted to play with each other. Of course, Zeal agreed.

The surrounding patrons glanced at the couple for a second before returning to their own business, happily chatting and sipping their drinks. Kaelix and Zeal went back in their own little bubble, seemingly forgetting the world around them—something everyone found quite endearing.”

“They’re back at it again.” a tall woman chuckled. Her black hair fell gracefully over her chest, and her shimmering red dress hugged her figure perfectly. She slowly swirled the wine in her glass as she kept her gaze fixated on the couple a few seats away.”

The man beside her nodded, an amused smile on his face. He was dressed in a sleek, black button-up shirt with rolled sleeves and rippled dark jeans—an outfit that fit the atmosphere of the livehouse. “Well, that’s the livehouse’s infamous couple for ya!” he said, taking a sip of his drink. “Always acting like the world doesn’t exist when they’re together.”

They both turned to another woman at the table. Her blonde hair practically glowed under the lights, but her face was scrunched up in confusion. “Wait, those two are a couple?”

“Oh right! You’re quite new to this place.” The male patron realized. “Yeah, they’re basically the sweetheart duo of this place. Everybody knows them.”

“Really?”

“Yeah, it’s just how they are.” The tall woman said with a soft laugh, taking another sip of her. The man beside her nodded in agreement. “Yeah—no one here really minds though. Everyone actually loves seeing them together. Makes the place feel warmer, y’know?”

The blonde woman’s puzzled look softened into a smile as she glanced back at the couple, now laughing at some private joke. For a place like this, their little bubble of sweetness was just another part of the charm.

“Aw! They’re so wholesome!”

Oh…she was about to be proved wrong.

A few minutes later, the hum around the livehouse carried on, but Kaelix and Zeal had slipped further into their own world.

Kaelix, now perched on the edge of the stool, was leaning halfway across the bar counter. His grin was downright mischievous as he watched Zeal calmly talking about a recent event that happened that day.

“Hey Zeal, did you see the picture that I sent you in DMs?”

Zeal’s hand stilled, a tiny smile appearing on his face as he tilted his head just slightly. “Yeah. That’s one cute PP you have there, Kaelix.”

What. The. Fuck.

A sharp silence rippled out through the bar. Nearby guests nearly choked on their drinks, eyes wide, heads whipping around like they could not believe what they had just heard. ‘What are they saying so openly in public?”

Kaelix, meanwhile, practically beamed, oblivious to the scandalized stares around him. He bounced in his seat, hands clapping, a proud grin stretching from ear to ear. It was such a cute gesture, but the cause of it…was not so innocent.**

“Hehe, right? I knew you’d think my PP is cute!” he said brightly, completely missing the awkward coughs and awkward laughter of the people beside them. “I called it from the very start that you would love my PP!”

“Oh, I definitely did.” Zeal smirked mischievously, leaning his elbow on the bar, watching him with that calm, knowing look. Unlike Kaelix, he was aware of his surroundings—and how the people around them were eavesdropping on their conversation.

Kaelix clasped his hands together, eyes sparkling with excitement.

“I can’t wait to show you when we get home! Maybe you can hold him for a bit too!”

One patron’s drink almost slipped from their grasp but was able to be caught. Another covered their mouth, eyes watering with barely contained laughter.

Zeal just let out a low chuckle, leaning in until his nose nearly brushed Kaelix’s.

“I’d love to, my darling bouncer. Maybe…I could play with it too?”

Kaelix giggled delightedly.

“You definitely can! Let’s play with it inside our bedroom. It’s the perfect spot.”

What the hell is this conversation?

The blonde woman turned to the other regular patrons with a deadpan expression. “...That was definitely far from wholesome.”

The male patron chuckled nervously, “Yeah…As much as they are a sweet couple, they can be quite…freaky as well.”

“Oh, they definitely are.” The female beside him added with a smirk, “I don’t know if you have seen it yet, but Mr. Bartender over there can be pretty handsy with Mr. Bouncer—and he doesn’t care at all if anyone notices. He’s probably an exhibitionist or something.”

The newcomer slightly choked from the information, earning an exasperated sigh from the man. “Don’t scare the newbie! I swear, they’re not always like that.”

On the other side of the bar table counter, Zeal casually added his own remark.

“Oh yeah, I also did see a picture of Sucklet. I did like it—it was cute.”

Kaelix gasped, eyes shining.“See! I knew you would like Sucklet. I called it from the very start.”

The tall woman shot the man an unimpressed look, one eyebrow arched.

“Yeah…wholesome.”

The people around them were still trying to recover from the couple’s absurdly suggestive exchange, but Kaelix and Zeal—oblivious and shameless in equal measure—seemed determined to push the conversation even further.

Kaelix, as bright and clueless as ever, happily exclaimed. “Oh! And imagine all the things we can do with my PP!” His voice ringing out far too clearly over the low hum of the livehouse.”

Zeal did not even bother to warn him about how everyone's word was being overboard or how different it all sounded out of context. Instead, he replied back. “Mm. I can think of a few things. Might need to try them all out when we get home.”

“Yayy! My PP deserves all the love.”

“Definitely.”

By now, the guests sitting closest to the couple had completely given up trying to ‘save themselves’ from the embarrassment. They had tried ignoring it, doing everything they could to distract themselves—but nothing worked.

Now they just sat there, helpless, resigned to being unwilling witnesses to every suspicious word that left Kaelix’s mouth.

Kaelix kept on talking, blissfully unaware—until Zeal decided to finally break the ice.

“You know,” Zeal said casually, his tone low and smooth, “they’re all listening to you right now.”

Every person nearby stiffened.

Kaelix’s eyes widened, then practically gleamed with excitement. He leaned back slightly so he could see the small group of people who were now staring at their drinks, their faces noticeably distraught.

“Really?” Kaelix gasped, “Do you guys want to know about my PP?”

The male patron cleared his throat, face flushed. “”Uh. No—no, not really—”

Kaelix only leaned forward, completely missing the horror written across their faces.

“Do you want to see a picture of my PP?”

“NO—!”

Someone practically squeaked out, clapping a hand over their face in terror. Another person half-hid behind their friend's shoulder, their ears burning red.

Kaelix blinked, genuinely puzzled. “Why not? It’s super adorable!”

One of the braver patrons managed to find their voice, though it was painfully obvious they wished they were anywhere else at the moment. “Um. I think that’s…probably for Mr. Bartender’s eyes only.”

Zeal hummed low, biting back a grin as Kaelix looked at him confused. The former just shrugged and brushed his fingers along Kaelix’s hand, delight flickering in his eyes.

“I don’t mind sharing.” Kaelix chirped happily. “It’s actually really soft and—”

The blonde woman at the far end of the bar let out a strangled laugh. “That’s enough! Please—no more.”

Kaelix tilted his head, still not quite grasping what all the fuss was about. Meanwhile, Zeal just chuckled softly under his breath, clearly enjoying every second of the chaos his darling bouncer was causing.

Finally, Zeal leaned in closer to Kaelix, lowering his voice until only Kaelix could hear it.

“Kaelix,” He finally murmured, his voice dripping with mischief, “I think they’re misunderstanding our conversation. They think you’re talking about… that kind of PP.”

Kaelix went completely still. He stood there, completely still, for a few seconds before his ears turned red. Soon enough, the color spread all the way to his cheeks and neck, squeaking as he clapped his hands over his mouth.

“W-Wait—! N-no, not that PP!” he stammered, his eyes darting between the mortified patrons and Zeal’s smug grin. “That’s not—I didn’t—I meant—”

He practically jumped to grab his phone from his pocket, fumbling with it in his flustered state. “P-Peepy! I meant Peepy! The plushie! P-E-E-P-Y.”

Kaelix turned his phone around, showing the patrons the photo of the stuffed animal: a round, cow-patterned plushie with a tiny peak and googly eyes that stared blankly into the void. Its goofy little face was so innocent and absurd.

The entire bar went silent for a second before letting out a collective exhale.

“Oh!” Someone near the bar said, their shoulders slumping in visible relief.

“Oh thank god.” A male patron muttered, stifling a laugh.

“That’s actually kinda cute.” Someone else admitted, peering closer at the screen.

Kaelix, still bright red, pouted at Zeal, who was laughing quietly behind his hand. “You could have told me sooner!”

Zeal just shrugged and pressed a soft kiss to Kaelix’s flushed cheek, smirking against the skin. ‘Where’s the fun in that?”

The blonde woman in the corner threw her head back with a relieved groan. “This is my third visit here in this livehouse…I don’t know if I want to come back again or just stay…”

The tall woman beside her giggled, patting her shoulders in sympathy. “You’ll get used to it eventually.” The woman beside her simply whined—though secretly, she could not help but agree: she was indeed starting to like the atmosphere in this livehouse.

And just like that, the tension dissolved into a wave of giggles, sighs, and a few embarrassed chuckles as the bar returned to its usual lively chatter—the adorable, infamous Peepy forever burned into everyone’s mind.

Before long, the night wound down. The music softened, the last drinks were poured, and the regulars trickled out the door, some of them still muttering about “the PP incident” and that silly plush cow.

Tucked away in the staff room, Kaelix and Zeal packed up their things, ready to head home after their shift. Kaelix pulled his jacket over his shoulders, cheeks still warm from earlier.

“I still can’t believe you didn’t tell me sooner.” He huffed, shooting Zeal a half-hearted glare. “You just let me ramble on and on in front of everyone!”

Zeal just laughed, leaning back against the locker as he watched Kaelix fuss around with his bag. “It was adorable.” He said, utterly unapologetic. “Besides, the look on your face when you realized? Worth every second.”

Kaelix puffed his cheeks, a pout forming on his mouth. “You hate me so bad, wehhh!!” He whined dramatically, wiping fake tears under his eyes.

Zeal simply patted his back, letting out a small, “I do not.”

Kaelix stuck out his tongue at him in mock protest, but the pout on his lips melted into a shy smile when Zeal’s fingers brushed gently along his shoulders.

For a moment, the room fell quiet—just the soft sound of Kaelix’s bag zipper and the distant thrum of closing time in the livehouse outside. Then, Zeal’s grin turned playful, his eyes glinting with that familiar spark of mischief. He leaned forward, voice dropping just enough to send a shiver up Kaelix’s spine.

“But you know what?”

Kaelix narrowed his eyes, suspicious but curious. “...What?”

Zeal smirked, his tone light but laced with something warmer.

“I can’t wait to play with your PP.”

The other laughed, rolling his eyes. “Yeah, I can’t wait either—”

But Zeal leaned in, close enough that Kaelix felt his breath against his ear. His voice dropped to a husky whisper, slow and sultry as the words left his mouth.

“I’m not talking about the cow plushie.”

Kaelix froze—then his face went bright red again, ears burning as he slapped a hand over his mouth to muffle the squeak that slipped out. Zeal’s soft laugh rumbled against him as he slipped an arm around Kaelix’s waist, pulling him closer.

Kaelix buried his face in Zeal’s chest, his cheeks still burning. “You pervert…” He mumbled, voice muffled against Zeal’s shirt.

But after a few seconds, he peeked up at him, eyes softening and shimmering under his lashes. A shy, flustered smile tugged at his lips as he leaned closer. “...I’m looking forward to it.”

Zeal kissed the top of his head, his grin wicked but fond.

“Good. Let’s go home, then.”

Notes:

I still can't move on from the Splatoon Collab that happened and the whole "PP" conversation that I had to make a fic about it.

Anyways, thank you so much for reading <33 Zealix / Zeaka love !!
