Kkeuteopsi In Your Head

Summary:

The girls are back on tour, and the Saja Boys tag along. Two to a room left Baby paired with Bobby. Not that he was complaining in the slightest.
If, perhaps, the idea of duo rooms was his own doing, who's to say?

Baby was excited to spend time outside the country, Bobby was excited to have someone with him during the hustle and bustle of business. Neither minded sharing a room, and perhaps, something more finally.

Chapter 1: Sanctuary

Chapter Text

Baby eagerly banged on Romance and Abby's door as he passes by their room. "Get a move on! We're burning daylight!"

He cackled at the annoyed shouts back at being rushed. He took a moment to peek into Mystery's room, nodding to find him already out of it. Baby gave him a high five as he passed by in the living room. "Someone's got a sense of urgency around here at least."

Mira snorted, shaking her head at the usually quiet Saja. "Someone's excited today."

Baby gave a shrug, giving her a fist bump as he made his way to the front door. "I've never been out of the country before."

"Been on a plane at all?"

Baby gave a shrug. At this point, him feigning ignorance to his human past might as well be a running joke. "I'll go-"

"Get Bobby?" Mira smirked.

Baby gave her two middle fingers as he ducked out the door and raced to the elevator. Baby knelt to pick the lock. He could just knock. He also knew he could get away with not. He hadn't gotten in trouble yet. He also once caught Bobby shirtless when letting himself in, which contributed greatly to the habit.

Baby hesitated, pressing his ear to the door. The audio quality wasn't the clearest, but the song was unmistakable for Baby.

I'm the only one who'll love your sins.

Baby opened the door as quietly as he could manage, grinning wide as he leaned in the door frame. Now without the door in the way, Baby got the privilege of realizing he wasn't just listening to old recordings of the show. He was singing and dancing with it.

Bobby, unaware of his new audience, continued swaying to the music as he packed  his gem art kit away for the trip. "Feel the way my voice gets underneath your skiiin." Bobby took a moment to ruffle his own hair, lost in the song. Bobby zipped his bag close, copying the choreography the best he could remember it. "Listen 'cause I'm preachin' to the choir. Can I get the mic a little high-AAAAAAAAA" Bobby's little spin ending with him on his rear on the floor, startled by the man in his doorway.

Baby cracked up in laughter, squatting down and doubling over to try to contain himself a bit.

"How long have you been there?!" Bobby squeaked out, scrambling to turn his music off.

Baby could only laugh harder, letting himself topple backwards and sprawl out on the floor.

"It's catchy!!" Bobby tried to defend. At Baby's laughter only amplifying further, Bobby cracked a bit, laughing as well at the ridiculousness of the entire situation. "Okay, okay. You got me! I still listen to it. You were popular for a reason!"

Baby wiped his eyes, finally calming down. He pushed himself up, propped on his elbow as he grinned up at Bobby. "Packed?"

"Almost." Bobby took a few deep breaths to calm down before walking over and helping Baby up. "Okay, I know I didn't leave it unlocked this time."

Baby grinned wide, teeth taking on just a hint of sharpness.

Bobby sighed, but smiled, not upset. "I shouldn't even be surprised anymore."

"Awww. That's no fun." Baby laughed, slinging an arm across Bobby's shoulders to lean his weight on him. "I'll just have to try harder to get underneath your skin." He singsonged.

Bobby fought back a laugh, shoving him off. "I'm still packing."

Baby grinned wide, leaning on the wall instead. "Are they going to question us not... really existing?"

Bobby shakes his head. "You'd be surprised- And slightly concerned? With what you can get away with if you have enough money. We have it handled."

Baby chuckled and gave a nod. "Works in our favor, I guess."

Bobby finished his packing, grabbing his luggage. "Are you only bringing the one bag?"

"Nah, I took my stuff down to the van last night." Baby assured. "It's my first time traveling, so I wanted lots of time in case I forgot anything."

Bobby chuckled, nodding. "Everyone up and ready?"

"Far as I saw, yeah."

"Let's get this show on the road then."

"WOO!" Baby fist pumped the air, skipping to the elevator.

Bobby laughed happily, chest warm to see Baby so excited.

Baby happily sang along to Bobby's music as he made them some nachos in the hotel's microwave. "Run, Run, We run the town. Whole world playing our sound. Turnin' up, it's going down!" He hummed a bit. "How it's done, done, done!"

Baby grinned as he placed their food down in time to the song.

Bobby chuckled. "Thanks."

He nodded, returning to the small kitchen area to grab their sodas. "We're doing brunch tomorrow, right?"

"Yup." Bobby confirmed, taking his drink. "Thanks, again."

Baby chuckled. "Think the others are settling in okay?"

"We can check on them after we eat."

Baby gave a nod. "Cool. Be right back."

Bobby gave a nod back, digging in to the food happily.

Baby headed for the bathroom, humming to the music again. Strictly speaking, he didn't need to eat. Sitting around while the humans ate was awkward, tho. So, the Saja Boys often joined in on meals anyways. And what goes in, must come out.

Baby, of course, washed his hands after. He paused before leaving, checking his hair in the mirror. He still didn't see himself as much. But, he liked to keep his hair presentable. For no reason, don't read into it. It's nothing, really. Baby tensed, eye catching movement in the mirror.

"BOBBY!!!!"

Bobby scrambled to his feet, rushing to check on the terrified scream. He blinked in shock to find Baby halfway scrambled onto the counter top. "What's wrong??"

Baby pointed a shaking finger, whimpering as he backed fully up against the mirror.

Bobby glanced to the tub, watching a lone spider try to climb its way out. He slowly glanced back to the demon currently cowering against a mirror.

"Don't just stand there, help me!" Baby begged, voice on the verge of tears.

Bobby bit the inside of his lip to not laugh. He could tell this was serious for Baby, even if it was quite the sight to see for him.

"WHERE ARE YOU GOING?!" Baby half sobbed in terror as Bobby left the bathroom.

"I'm not picking it up with my hands." Bobby did laugh at that.

"Just squish it!" Baby begged. "BOBBY IT'S COMING TOWARDS ME!"

"It's not hurting anything, I'm not killing it." Bobby called back over. "It's probably just trying to find somewhere to hide."

"BOBBY!"

"I'm coming, I promise." Bobby assured, returning with a cup and a paper towel. "I'm here." Bobby carefully coaxed the spider onto the paper towel, before covering it with the cup and scooping it up. "Can you get the balcony door? I'll keep far away."

Baby whined but slowly slipped off the counter, racing out of the bathroom. "What if it gets back inside??"

"It won't. They actually try to avoid us, you know."

"Try harder!" Baby scolded the spider.

Bobby laughed at that, shaking his head. "This room's probably just not been booked for a few days."

Baby whined, opening the door and then booking it to the other side of the room entirely.

Bobby took the spider outside, placing it as far on the edge of the balcony as he could before returning inside and closing the door. He bunched the paper towel up, wedging it into the corner of the door. "See? Not getting back in now."

Baby took deep breaths, sinking to the floor in the corner to calm down.

Bobby grabbed Baby's unopened soda, bringing it over.

Baby took it quietly, cracking it open and taking small sips.

Bobby knelt next to him. "Are you okay?"

Baby gave an embarrassed nod. "Sorry-"

"Don't be." Bobby chuckled. "It's not a bother."

Baby's face felt warm again. He wasn't sure anymore if it was a phantom sensation or if he could actually blush. He'd never thought to check a mirror. Bobby never seemed to have a problem telling when he was bothered, so he suspected he actually did turn colors. Or, maybe Bobby was just good at reading people.

Baby blinked a few times at himself. He wasn't sure when he started feeling like a People again. He took a slow sip of soda as he glanced to Bobby still sitting beside him while he calmed down.

It's not hurting anything, I'm not going to kill it.

Baby's eyes fell slowly, focus drifting to Bobby's lips. He wanted to thank him. He wanted to cross a line-

Both jumped at the knock on the door.

Bobby braced a hand on Baby's shoulder to stand up.

Baby tried to memorize the sensation of heat on his shoulder.

Bobby answered the door.

"Everything okay?" Zoey worried. "We heard a scream."

"Oh, yeah." Bobby gave a nod. "We're fine. Sorry about that."

Zoey gave a nod. "Something smells good."

Bobby laughed. "We didn't make extra."

"Awww, no fair." She laughed, joking.

"How's Mystery enjoying the hotel?" Bobby checked, leaning on the door a bit, to keep Baby out of sight.

Zoey nodded happily. "He's running out the hot water."

Bobby laughed, nodding. "I may do the same here in a bit."

Zoey chuckled. "How's Baby liking it? I know he was excited this morning."

Baby took a deep breath, standing up. "It's really cool here." He called over, joining Bobby at the door.

Zoey grinned. "We have to hit the pool tomorrow."

"Oh, I don't know-" Bobby tried to think of an excuse.

"Pool, pool, pool-" Zoey began.

Baby grinned, joining in. "Pool, pool, pool!"

Bobby laughed. "Alright, alright- We'll squeeze it into the schedule. We ARE here for a concert, not a vacation." He reminded.

Zoey and Baby high fived.

"See you boys in the morning!" Zoey skipped off to Mira and Rumi's room to let them know.

Baby grinned wide, feeling better.

Bobby shook his head, closing the door. "Enabler."

Baby laughed hard, returning to the small table to finally enjoy his own dinner.

Bobby smiled softly, glad Baby was feeling better. He'd have to check the closets later to ensure there were no more surprises.

Baby's grin widened as Soda Pop came on the music shuffle.

Bobby went a bit red, eating the rest of his food.

Baby half sang along between bites of food. "Don't want you, need you.-" He hummed thru the lyrics as he took another bite of food. "마시고 마셔 봐도-"

Bobby laughed, giving in to the music. " Got a feeling that, oh, yeah. You could be everything that, that I need, taste so sweet-"

Baby grinned, food abandoned once more as he jumped to his feet. "Wanna learn the dance?"

"YES??" Bobby laughed, finishing off his drink before getting up to clear a space for the dance lesson.
