Mira slid in a little closer. “Why do you look so surprised? What did you think we were going to be doing?”
“Um, I don’t know. Taking a bath? Isn’t that what you normally do in a bathhouse?” Rumi flung up her hands in exasperation. The way they were both looking at her with confused expressions was starting to make her feel like she was the crazy one, but there was no way that was true, right? “I mean, it’s literally called a bath house. Unless there’s some weird innuendo about bathhouses that I don’t know about, I’m not sure how I was supposed to interpret it as anything else.”
Mira and Zoey exchanged a glance, and realization slowly crept into each of their expressions.
“I guess if she didn’t know we’d been fucking, it tracks that she wouldn’t realize that ‘want to go to the bathhouse’ was just an invitation for sex,” Mira said casually, making air quotes with her hands.
