Headcanons about my countryhumans AU that no one asked for

Summary:

Just some ideas, facts, and concepts about my Countryhumans AU (I don't know if it can still be called that)

Notes:

As you may have read in the summary, these are just things about my AU.

But whether or not this is Countryhumans, or if it's leaning more toward Hetalia or something else, is debatable.

Chapter Text

What Are They?

To answer this question, I need to explain a key concept in my AU: they aren’t “representations” per se, but rather representatives.

This is probably something you’ve heard from other creators in the fandom, but for those unfamiliar with the idea, here’s how it works (at least in the context of my AU): Countries don’t have a human version of themselves walking around. Instead, there are (slightly different) human beings who represent a certain country—always one they were born in and where they’ve lived through most of its history.

---

What Do They Do?

It’s pretty straightforward: they’re mainly responsible for representing their country’s history and/or culture. They also assist their nation’s leaders in making decisions, always acting not just in favor of the state, but in favor of its people—often using historical reasoning to guide their choices.

Even though this is supposed to be their primary role, they’re often ignored or pushed aside by those in power.

Some of their other duties include:

Attending meetings at UN headquarters (although their presence is usually more symbolic than functional).

Taking part in national celebrations and important events (holidays, anniversaries, etc.).

Acting as a voice for the people—especially when a leader starts to overstep their authority.

And other things

---

How Do They “Function” in Their World?

When I say “function,” I’m mostly referring to their general role and how people in-universe perceive them.

From the perspective of world leaders, opinions vary widely depending on the government and who’s in charge. Some leaders see them as co-workers who shouldn't be given too much attention. Others see them as convenient propaganda tools or as a way to earn public approval. Only a few genuinely view them as advisors—people meant to help avoid repeating the mistakes of the past.

Ordinary citizens also have mixed feelings. Some see them as a kind of modern-day “royalty” that stays in power for too long and passes their roles down through bloodlines. Others believe they’re being blocked from doing their jobs properly, which is why their influence isn’t really visible in politics or society.

There are even cases where citizens don’t feel “represented” by their country’s representative ,especially if the representative belongs to a different social class, race, or ethnic group than the majority.

---

What Makes Them Different from Regular Humans?

This is a bit tricky in my AU, because technically, they are humans, just with some subtle but important differences, such as:

Once they turn 20, they stop aging like everyone else. From that point on, they age one physical year for every fifty real years.

They have a pretty strong immune system, meaning they’re less likely to get sick. However, if they do fall ill or push their bodies too far, they suffer like any regular human would.

Their heart rate is naturally slower than that of a normal person.

Their blood is not compatible with human blood, but human blood is compatible with theirs.

---

What Causes These Traits?

All of these differences come from a rare mutated gene that doesn’t exist in the rest of the population. Some quick facts about the gene:

It keeps the telomerase enzyme active for much longer than normal. This prevents the shortening of telomeres, which is why they age incredibly slowly.

The gene is hereditary, with a 50% chance of being passed on to a child(even if the other parent is a normal human).

It’s estimated to appear in 1 out of every 1,000,000 people. However, the gene usually remains inactive, unless the person lives near someone whose gene is already active. So, even if someone has the gene, they’ll most likely never show any traits unless exposed to another representative.

---

That’s all I’ll share for now. If you’re interested and want to know more about the world, characters, or how things work here, feel free to ask. I’d love to answer more questions or expand on things in future posts :p

Chapter 2: infodump(?)

Summary:

a little insight into their social lives :3

Notes:

What can I say, I needed to write about this or I was going to explode

Chapter Text

Social Topics

How do they get along with each other?
This is a question with a very mixed answer. Some of them hate each other (usually because of past issues like wars, betrayals, invasions, etc. between their territories), while others consider each other friends, acquaintances, or just tolerate one another.

They usually try to keep good relationships to avoid conflict or damaging their image, but in reality, it’s quite difficult. Some of them don’t even bother to hide their dislike for other representatives.

Can they have romantic relationships?

With other representatives: Yes and no. I mean, they can, but morally and ethically, it’s expected of them not to get romantically involved with each other, since this could lead to problems or public disapproval. Still, some of them have ended up in romantic relationships, but they keep them secret and lowkey.

That said, it’s well known that in the past, it was common for two representatives to marry (or even have children together) to consolidate unions, alliances, etc.—as long as the relationship met the social standards of race, gender, and so on. This practice was abandoned a long time ago due to its inhumanity, often involving forced marriages or abuse.

With humans: On the other hand, there’s much less discrimination when it comes to marrying or dating humans—as long as these conditions are met:

The human must be from the country the representative embodies.

The relationship must reflect positively on the nation’s image.

If these conditions aren’t met, it’s very common for the government itself to step in and block the marriage—or do its best to keep the relationship under wraps. This behavior is currently being questioned by various human rights organizations.

Where do they live?
This is probably one of the biggest questions in the fandom—and for good reason. In this AU, each representative has a main home in their own country, usually located somewhere central and accessible within their territory (though there are exceptions). That’s where they spend most of their time.

However, in 2003, a residential area was created exclusively for them in New York City, USA. This isn’t their permanent home (although it can be if they want it to be and manage to get the proper visa). They usually stay there during UN meeting seasons. There have been talks about building similar residences in other UN headquarters to avoid the extra cost of hotel stays, but so far, no such project has been launched.

What is their social life like in general?
This refers specifically to how society views them. I already touched on this in an earlier post, but here I’ll go deeper into a few topics, like:

Are they seen as celebrities? Not exactly. Sure, people like to ask them for autographs to brag about it later, but they’re not idolized or adored the way most celebrities are—mainly because the public is well aware of some of the questionable things they’ve done in the past.

The same applies to their social media—kind of. It’s not uncommon for a government official to call and scold them for posting something offensive or inappropriate.

How are they seen in politics? As I mentioned before, they’re usually not taken seriously when it comes to decision-making. Government leaders often ignore their advice or go over their heads—but the moment a representative contradicts them, they’re immediately looked down on. That said, with enough persistence, they can get their leaders to change their minds.

Many people dislike the fact that they stay in power for centuries, but truth be told, their mere presence aurafarms for their nations

If you’re interested in learning more about my AU, feel free to leave a comment with your questions or suggestions—I might answer it in a future chapter! :)

Chapter 3: Ready for your brain to explode trying to read whatever this is?

Summary:

Warning! Read this at your own risk, because honestly, it might give you a stroke. (It's not anything strong, like gore or anything like that, but it's hard for even me to understand.)

Notes:

I'll have to add some science and genetics tags or whatever, I don't know where in my ass I got this from.

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

Since the first chapter, you were probably wondering what that random gene I mencioned was, well, now you'll know:

How exactly does this gene work?

As you might remember, in the first post I gave a brief description of this gene, which is what makes the representatives "special" and gives them certain unique traits.
Today, I’ll go into more detail about what this gene is, what it does, its qualities and drawbacks, etc.

General Info:

The gene is known as “MTR-01.”
As mentioned before, this gene affects the production of telomerase (the enzyme that regenerates telomeres), keeping it active for an extended period of time, causing the bearer to age incredibly slowly.

It is present in roughly 1 in 1,000,000 people (meaning there are currently around 8,000 individuals with the gene inactive). However, the gene usually does not activate for several reasons. So, even if ordinary people have it, they almost never show any signs.
Once the gene is activated (at the age of 20, biologically), the body begins to age one year every 50 years.

The Microorganism MTR-02 and Its Importance:

This gene is accompanied by a microorganism called “MTR-02,” which is responsible for triggering the gene at the correct age.
Its absence is the reason why most people have the gene, but it remains inactive.
However, if MTR-02 enters the bloodstream of someone who doesn't have the gene, it becomes aggressive and is lethal to the host body.

Transmission:

The gene is hereditary, so there's a 50% chance of passing it on if only one parent carries it, and a 70% chance if both parents do.

If a woman with the active gene breastfeeds a child under one year old for at least six months, and the child also carries the gene, there's a high chance that the gene will activate early. If the child doesn’t have the gene, they are likely to die before turning one.

This isn’t limited to breastmilk: consuming the blood, saliva, hair, etc. of someone with the active gene can also activate it (as long as the consumer has the gene too, and is under 20 years old).

The most common way for the gene to activate is through prolonged contact. A child might carry the gene, but unless they come into regular contact with someone who already has it active (and therefore carries the microorganism), it will never activate.

This is why many children, especially those whose representative parents have died, are placed under the care of other representatives (if they're under 20), to ensure the gene isn't lost.
MTR-02 can be transmitted naturally, but slowly (through physical contact). However, it dies quickly if it comes into contact with a normal human, and only becomes dangerous if it enters their bloodstream directly.

Traits the Gene Provides (Besides Slow Aging):

They rarely get sick, thanks to an enhanced immune barrier. However, if they do catch an illness, they can suffer just as much as a regular human. They're not immune to cancer, though their chances of surviving it are higher.

Their breathing and heart rate are slightly slower than average, but it doesn’t affect them negatively.

Their memory works the same as a normal person’s, relative to their pace of aging.
For example: if one appears to be 27 years old, they will remember what they did at "25" just as clearly as a human would, even if it happened a century ago.

Drawbacks:

One major side effect of the active gene is that it slows down not only telomerase loss but also the division of certain cells, particularly during meiosis. As a result, gametes (sperm and eggs) are often defective or scarce, making gene carriers highly infertile.

In women, this is even more complicated: their immune system is so strong that it attacks the embryo, treating it like a foreign threat.

There are more men than women with the active gene, and this has an explanation:
The gene tends to activate more easily in the presence of high testosterone, so in most cases, women who carry the gene never activate it.
(This doesn’t mean it’s impossible—just more difficult.)
As a result, only 1 in 3 representatives are women.

If a child of someone with the active gene inherits it but, for some reason, fails to activate it, it's most common for them to die before the age of 25. Without activation, their immune system becomes extremely weak, and they may even develop autoimmune diseases.

If you’re curious to know more about my AU, feel free to comment your doubts or suggestions and I might answer them in a future post! :)

Notes:

I was also going to add that not many women are born because, for a reason I won't explain, female embryos tend to be seen as threats by the body more than the male ones. I'm sorry I can't go into detail on this part, cause my brain isn't braining anymore

Chapter 4: How do they become representatives?

Summary:

another tangle of concepts, I tried to make it as understandable as possible

Notes:

I wanted to clarify that since I'm still working on my AU (well, actually writing it and not just thinking about it) I might occasionally change parts of previous chapters to make certain things make sense, so don't think it's a Mandela effect if you reread them and see different things, I'm just very indecisive.

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

How Do They Become Representatives? Do They Just Appear? Are They Chosen? Or What?

This is probably one of the most common questions in the fandom, and while it might sound complicated, the answer in my AU is quite simple: it depends.

That's right. Representatives can become one in many different ways (except, of course, appearing out of nowhere). In most cases, they’re chosen before they’re even born—brought into the world by their parents with the intention of fulfilling that role once they reach the age of majority (which, for them, is 20 years old). This was especially common in contexts involving conquest or territorial expansion, where one (or both) parents were representatives of invading countries and needed someone to embody a newly acquired territory.

From here, the method varies depending on the scenario:

• Conquest:

When a country colonized a new land, its representative would usually seek to have a child to represent that territory. That child could be born from a native of the conquered area, a fellow countryman (someone from the same nation as the colonizer), or even another representative (as long as it was permitted by the ruling authority).

• Invasion:

In the past, it was common that when territory A successfully invaded territory B, the representative of A would be expected to have a child with the representative of B. This was a symbolic way of asserting power and control. Once the child was born and came of age, they would take over as the new representative of territory B—while the former one was eliminated.

• "Accidents":

Like any human, representatives can make mistakes. Sometimes they end up having children they didn’t plan for (usually with ordinary humans, but sometimes with other representatives). In those cases, the first step is to wait and see if the child inherits the gene. If they do, then one of two options is taken:

1. If there’s already a representative of the country and they are of the opposite sex, the child can inherit the same position (two representatives of the same gender are not allowed).

2. If the child is the same sex as the current representative, or if there are already two, they may be assigned to represent a subdivision like a state, province, or region.

• Union (into a single state):

When two or more countries merge into one sovereign state, there are several possibilities:

1. As a symbol of unity, it is expected that the two representatives (or at least two, in the case of multiple nations) have a child to represent the new country.

2. If the representatives can’t have children (due to being the same sex or closely related), then one of them should have a child separately.

3. If it's just two countries uniting and their representatives are of opposite sexes, both may represent the new nation together.

• Unification (while remaining distinct countries):

This is similar to the union scenario, but with a key difference: the individual countries retain their representatives. A child may still be born to represent the unity, but the original representatives continue in their roles.

• What if a representative dies without leaving a successor?

This has only happened a few times, as it's rare for a representative to die (whether by natural causes or otherwise). When it does, governments have two options:

Remain without a representative (a risky and unstable choice), or

Find an orphaned child who carries the dormant gene (yes, regular people can carry it, though it’s extremely rare). That child is placed under the care of a representative from an allied country in hopes of triggering the gene. If successful, the child becomes the new representative of their nation.

If you’re curious to know more about my AU, feel free to comment your doubts or suggestions and I might answer them in a future post! :)

Notes:

Other extra facts:

- When an invasion occurred, only one child was born between both representatives if the invading country's representative was male. If it were a woman, I don't think having a child with the other representative would have been something people would have been proud of, considering how the issue was viewed in the past.

- Many times, when a country has a female representative, the people or the government itself expects her to have a child (specifically a male) at some point in her life. This is so that the country has a more "serious" or "stronger" face when he becomes a representative as well.

- A country can only have two representatives if: Both are of opposite sexes and are related.

- Not all countries have two representatives, much less representatives of states, regions, etc.

- Countries don't really have anything that forces them to have a representative, so when the one they had dies, it's not mandatory for them to have a new one. They do it anyway. Just to have a face that represents the country and its history from then on.

- Not all territories have a representative, apart from states or sub-regions, most overseas territories do not have one.

Hiiiii,

Today I'm not here to talk about my AU, I just wanted to tell you something :3

The thing is, I really want to keep writing about this, but I'm stuck in a creative block and I’m not sure what to do next. So, since we've now reached 72 hits and 4 kudos (thank you so so much, by the way :DDD), I thought I’d ask you if you have any questions, doubts, or even suggestions about my AU.

Just to clarify, for now I won’t start sharing my headcanons about the characters yet, but any other topic could be explained in a future chapter — so feel free to leave your questions in the comment box :)

Byeeee!

Notes:

Please comment something, I would like to know your opinion about this (。•́︿•̀。)

And don't worry if you have no doubts or questions, if you liked something and want to say it, your comment will be well received too :D!!

Chapter 6: Political power!!!!!

Summary:

their rights, duties, and some fictitious organizations that I pulled out of my ass

Notes:

I hope it's not noticeable that I'm avoiding starting to talk about the characters as such, lol

Chapter Text

RIGHTS (What they can demand or exercise)

- Right to enjoy the same fundamental rights as any human being:
They may be representatives, but they are still people with dignity, liberties, and rights.

- Right to dignified and functional housing provided by their government:
This includes modest residences within their country and temporary lodging abroad for diplomatic, political, or cultural purposes. Excessive luxury is not permitted.

- Right to receive compensation for their role as representatives:
Even though their role is not officially considered a job, it requires time, responsibility, and constant presence, so they must be guaranteed a fair basic income.

- Right to freely form a family:
They cannot be forced into relationships for state interests, nor be politically prevented from having children or a partner.

- Right to participate in elections and voting processes:
Both local and national.

- Right to refuse participation in armed conflicts:
They are not obligated to represent their country in wars or military acts if they do not wish to.

- Right not to be used as propaganda tools:
Their image cannot be manipulated by the government or forced into political campaigns without their consent.

DUTIES (What is expected of them)

- Duty to represent their country with dignity:
In both appearance and actions, they must uphold respect for their national identity.

- Duty to participate in political and cultural matters when summoned.

- Duty to defend the needs and desires of their people:
This includes speaking up, acting, and intervening on behalf of the population—not just the government.

- Duty to know and transmit the history of their nation truthfully and responsibly.

- Duty to stay informed about the current state of their country:
This includes its economy, society, environment, internal politics, and foreign relations.

- Duty to promote peace and respect among representatives.

- Duty to take care of their physical and mental health:
A representative must be in optimal condition to fulfill their role; therefore, their overall well-being is expected to be a priority.

- Duty to preserve national symbols and values:
They must care for flags, coats of arms, languages, or traditional anthems as part of their symbolic responsibilities.

ORGANIZATIONS

In my AU, global organizations (like the UN, WHO, etc.) do not have a representative, so they function mostly like they do in our world.

However, the existence and role of representatives has led to the need for new organizations that regulate and oversee all matters related to their position. Here are some of these organizations and their functions:

RONE (Regulatory Organization for National Entities):

This multinational body’s main purpose is to monitor diplomatic actions between representatives and their nations, approve international agreements that concern them, and mediate when conflicts arise between representatives—or between the countries they represent.

Other functions include:

Approving diplomatic exceptions (such as the assignment or retirement of a representative).

Keeping records and ensuring both the rights and duties of representatives are being upheld.

Despite its seemingly benevolent function, many national figures have (rightfully) complained about abuses or manipulation by this entity.

NRC (National Representation Commission):

A small division within each country's government, responsible for everything related to their own representative. It’s mainly composed of various officials, including: the president (or prime minister, head of state, etc.), the minister of the interior, the minister of culture, a human rights advisor, and optionally, a psychologist.

This entity oversees matters such as:

Supervising their upbringing and education if they are minors.

Deciding on diplomatic permissions, transfers, partnerships in certain official cases, etc.

Managing resources, security, and authorizations directed toward the representative figure.

ADDITIONAL CONCEPTS FROM MY AU:

Many representatives have ages that do not align with those of their countries. This is because they may have been born earlier to represent a previous version of the nation—or an entirely different territory. Others were not initially intended to be representatives, but were given the opportunity to represent a country they had a strong connection with.

When a country gains independence from another, the new territory may go without a representative for a while, unless they already had one before the separation.

In my AU, it has been quite some time since the last child was born with the sole purpose of becoming a national representative (due to the rise of human rights—and, as a result, the rights of representatives themselves). In the past, children born for this purpose could either be raised by their parents or, if orphaned, be taken into custody by the national figure of an allied country.

You may wonder if they’re allowed to have opinions that differ from those of their government—the answer is yes. However, it's common for governments to try and manipulate them into being supportive, especially for propaganda purposes.

I haven’t seen many AUs with this concept, but I imagine they must exist somewhere: in this universe, representatives can choose to retire. But it’s a very difficult goal to achieve. First, the government would rarely allow it, and second, the people could become enraged by it.
Still, there are cases where—after a nation's fall—rather than being killed to “end the story dramatically” or being forced to represent a new nation, some representatives simply step away from their role entirely.

Something I’ve always thought is: these individuals have lived for so long and probably done things that, while legal at the time, would now be considered crimes against humanity. So, should they be held accountable? I believe they should—but I doubt their government would allow them to be imprisoned. More likely, they would resort to shady tactics to prevent that from happening.

If you're interested in learning more about my AU, feel free to leave a question or suggestion! I might address it in a future chapter :)

Chapter 7: Canada

Summary:

After so much time, I'll finally start talking about my character headcanons. We'll go from top to bottom and from left to right according to the map (I'm still deciding when I'll do the overseas territories, but they might come much later): v

I also want to mention that English is not my first language, so there may be inconsistencies (since I use Google Translate for this xd), and there may also be certain historical errors, if so, let me know :)

Languages: French, English, and Spanish
Ideological Alignment: Left-wing
Current Legal Status: Active
Affiliation: Leroux & ███████

——————

The context of his birth was considered highly undesirable by the standards of the time, the result of a liaison between █████ ███████ and ████████ ██████. His arrival into the world was seen as a sign of weakness and incompetence on the part of his mother, given the tense state of the continent. Furthermore, his father did not acknowledge him as his son until much later.

Despite these circumstances, a purpose was soon found for his existence when he was assigned the role of future representative of the territory of New France. Due to his father’s refusal to claim him, he was raised primarily under the care of his mother and took her surname.

He participated in the Beaver Wars, Queen Anne’s War, French and Indian War , and the War of the Spanish Succession on the side of the French. Later, he fought in King George’s War , War of 1812 and the World Wars on behalf of Great Britain. He also participated in the Korean War

In terms of appearance, he is a tall and well-built man, with coffee-colored freckles scattered across his pale (somewhat weathered) skin. His hair is reddish-brown, thick, and wavy, and his eyes are a deep midnight blue, often carrying a slightly weary look. Among his most distinctive features are: extensive burn scars on both arms, multiple cut scars on his hands, a shrapnel scar running from the left hamstring to the lower back, a faint cut mark on the crown of his head, and several less visible marks.

Despite everything he has been through, his personality is notably calm. He is often deeply considerate of others’ feelings and makes a conscious effort to please those around him. However, this does not mean he lacks the ability to assert boundaries when necessary. He is fair-minded and appreciates the simpler things in life, which is why all his studies have been focused on the arts. It is important to note that this side of his personality is relatively recent—this peaceful and egalitarian outlook has been gradually forged over the past century.

He holds a pacifist worldview, generally seeking to maintain friendly or at least neutral relations with everyone. Nonetheless, many people who meet him in person might perceive him as insincere or even patronizing. When made aware of such perceptions, he is quick to clarify or affirm the sincerity of his intentions—even if no explanation was requested. Like anyone, he can have moments where he loses his composure, becoming curt and unkind, but this occurs only rarely and typically when pushed to the edge of his patience by certain individuals or events.

His hobbies include poetry writing, painting, photography, and journalism—all in line with his long-standing preference for the fine arts. It is worth noting that he has made good use of these skills throughout his life.

He currently resides in a modest home with his adopted children, Aden and Amelia (reported to be 13 and 6 years old, respectively, according to acquaintances), along with a small dog named Rubi. He is quite private about his personal life, and very little is known about it today.

His relationships with both most representatives and national officials are generally positive. In recent decades, he has placed special effort into strengthening ties with the former, though his motives for doing so remain unclear.

Chapter Text

File № ███
National Representative of the Overseas Territory of Greenland: Enok Landergård

Full Name: Enok Amaruq Landergård

Date of Birth: December 4th, 1730

Place of Birth: ██████████, Nuuk

Apparent Age: 25 years

Chronological Age: 294 years

Sex: Male

Height: 1.75 m (5.5 ft)

Weight: 75 kg (165 lb)

Blood Type: A+

Marital Status: Single

Civil Occupation: Cabinetmaker

Current Residence: ███████ 3388, ████ 3905, Greenland

Languages: Kalaallisut, Danish, and English

Ideological Alignment: Centrist

Current Legal Status: Active

Affiliation: Landergård

——————————————————————

He was born from the union between ████ ██████████ and an Inuit man. Despite the controversy this caused at the time, his birth was largely well received by the people, as the territory of Greenland had been significantly neglected for over seven centuries by the rulers of previous colonial powers—to the point where none had bothered to assign a representative to the colony. However, during the previous decade, Danish colonial control had intensified, especially through the evangelization of native groups. As a demonstration of that control, ████, the representative of Denmark, brought him into the world.

Although neither the people, the Danish representative, nor the kings of Norway were particularly pleased with him, this did not prevent him from becoming the official representative of the colony in 1750.

His childhood was relatively peaceful. He attended decent schools in Europe and was allowed to spend holidays with his father in Greenland. Sadly, his father died in 1745 due to a smallpox outbreak, an event that left him deeply saddened. To his dismay, his mother forbade him from returning to America, seeing no reason for him to do so now that his father had passed.

Unable to continue the activities he used to enjoy in Greenland, he dedicated himself to his studies and eventually became an apprentice to a professional cabinetmaker. Through this path, he developed exceptional skills in the craft, which ultimately led him to decide to pursue it as his lifelong vocation—partly because it kept him connected to the memories and teachings of his father, particularly the art of woodworking.

Physically, he is a man of medium height with a slender build. His skin is a pale copper tone that complements his straight, shoulder-length black hair and calm brown eyes. Notable features include: calloused, rough hands; several beauty marks across his body; and a small scar on his right cheek.

In terms of personality, he is quiet and composed. While he is kind, respectful, and modest, he also knows how to draw a firm line when needed, possessing a strong sense of justice and considerable empathy for others. At first glance, one might describe him as emotionally distant or stoic—but this is merely a façade that tends to fall away once one gets to know him. His personal experiences have made him highly introspective, which largely explains his demeanor—in a generally positive way. That said, he does not hesitate to express his disapproval to those he believes deserve it, leading many to view him as someone blunt and straightforward.

He is known for offering wise advice and is regarded by those close to him as someone who thinks clearly and objectively. However, he tends to keep his own problems and emotions to himself, often to the point of feeling overwhelmed. He prefers not to share his struggles, even with those he is expected to (such as the psychologist assigned to him by the Danish government). Regarding this, he states that he prefers to process his issues internally and then, with a clear mind, focus on taking steps to resolve them.

His hobbies may seem simple to most, consisting mainly of wood carving, skiing, fishing, and hiking. Of these, woodworking has been nearly his sole occupation throughout his life. Although his government has attempted to persuade him to pursue other forms of employment (not due to the nature of the trade itself, but out of concern for variety), he has consistently refused, affirming that it brings him happiness and has sustained him economically for centuries—and he plans to continue practicing it in the future.

He is known to currently live alone in a modest home, where he operates a well-regarded local woodworking workshop. His neighbors speak very highly of him, especially in regard to his frequent charitable work.

As for his relationships, there is an interesting pattern: he tends to be more open, cheerful, and friendly with near-strangers or casual acquaintances, while his ties with those one might expect closer connections to—such as family members or representatives of allied nations—are more distant or strained. He appears to be selective in this regard.

Notes:

Another thing, I write these files as if someone from their governments were collecting information from them, so don't be surprised by the way it's done xd

——————————

He was born from the marital union of █████ ███████ and ████████ ██████, a birth that was met with mixed reception—welcomed by some, but overshadowed by the fact that he had been conceived primarily to serve as the representative of the Thirteen Colonies and to improve relations between ███████ and ██████, in hopes of discouraging perceptions of their unstable relationship as a weakness.

The marriage, however, lasted no more than four years. When his parents divorced, he was barely two years old. As expected in such cases, his father was granted custody, though this did not translate into a particularly warm or close relationship between them.

He has fought in the American War of Independence, the War of 1812, the Mexican–American War, the Spanish–American War, both World Wars, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, and several others.

Physically, he is a slender man with pale skin touched by a faint bronze undertone and rougher patches in certain areas. His hair is golden blond, slightly wavy and kept short, and his blue-green eyes stand out against the shadows of his under-eye circles. Among his most notable features: a small scar on his right eyebrow; a burn wound stretching from his right wrist to his shoulder (also covering part of his neck and sideburn); a shrapnel scar covering his entire left shoulder; a saber scar along his right side; and various lighter marks scattered across his body.

His personality can be described as extroverted, bold, and unapologetically direct—traits that have often landed him in trouble. Those who know him frequently find him irritating, suspecting that his words are laced with double meanings, always angling for some personal advantage (a claim he firmly denies). Impulsivity is another defining trait—sometimes an asset, sometimes a liability to his reputation. Despite decades of admonishments, it’s a habit he has never quite shed. He is perceptive and shrewd, skilled at turning situations—and occasionally people—to his advantage, usually for his own benefit.

He also has a tendency to provoke certain individuals purely for his own amusement, claiming long ago that it is far easier to irritate people than to please them. While known for his provocative and discomforting manner, this is not his only side—he often employs it to gauge reactions, break tension, or gain an upper hand in conversation.

He possesses a natural talent for oratory and leadership, capable of rallying a group or defending his position with unshakable confidence before any audience. In these moments, sarcasm gives way to strategic clarity and unwavering determination, revealing a tactician who is far more deliberate than he appears. This duality makes him unpredictable—and, to many, difficult to truly understand. While some paint him as unpleasant, abrasive, or even narcissistic, there exists another, softer side: his sense of justice is firm and uncompromising, and he rarely yields on matters that violate his moral code. He is rebellious by nature, resistant to authority, and far more comfortable leading than being led. Though far from ideal, he can empathize with others by drawing parallels between their experiences and his own, allowing him, in his own way, to understand another’s pain.

His hobbies are an interesting mix. Some, like reading, language learning, and chess, seem at odds with his brash temperament. Others, such as debates, poker, sports betting, and certain less virtuous pastimes (which he has been warned about but may not have abandoned), align perfectly with his restless and competitive nature.

His private life is hardly a mystery—confidentiality has never been his strong suit. He lives in a somewhat ostentatious home with his pit bull, Buster. He is often seen attending parties, participating in debates, joining marches, and generally appearing in public events with surprising frequency for someone in his position.

His relations with other representatives are… complicated. Over the years, he has found it remarkably easy to get under their skin—whether intentionally or not. Earning the respect he commanded some seventy years ago would now be nearly impossible, though there remain a few who tolerate him, and even fewer who might consider him a friend.
