I stared out to the ocean, the breeze flowing through my hair.
My entire body frozen still, unsure of what to do or say as I saw your figure in front of me.
Each step you take, you got further away from me. I see the ocean level slowly rising above you.
Your feet, your hips, your neck.
Every word we had exchanged before you walked, I thought was good enough.
But now I wonder if it was really good enough.
“Please stop.”
You heard and you did stop. But you neither turned around nor walked back to shore.
My mind was messy, my body was frozen, my mouth was shut.
Will me saying anything to you help you back to shore, or only make you feel a burden?
Will me hugging you help you stay above the ocean at your own will, or only make you feel trapped in this world?
Will my thoughts be able to guide you to live as many tomorrows, or will you come back again without me this time?
I do not know what to do.
All I know is I want you alive, in this world. This cruel world that we both live in.
“Hey… Let’s make many memories together at least?”
If you have no reason to live, let’s make as many happy memories as an excuse to live. Even if it means infinite memories.
