“It’s been so long since I’ve left home” Cenvil thought to himself as he stocked the warp arrow with supplies, he had decided to take an “extended vacation” on a planet called earth, maybe slightly influenced by the abundance of shrimp, although the whole not letting the native life see him thing was going to make getting some difficult, “well that’s everything” he thought placing the last few things inside “all that’s left now is to leave” powering up the arrow’s warp drive, this time remembering to disengage the stasis field, he headed towards the planet.
“wow” he thought “me actually getting my hands on a warp arrow and leaving, crazy”, as the stars flicked past he could almost see the breathtaking forests and mesmerizing sulfur ponds in his mind from the surface scans he took a few days before leaving, a place called “yellowstone”, a small feeling of sadness grew in him, he wouldn’t be going back for a while, “it’s a new adventure” he reassured himself.
As required for planets with weaker or less advanced life (which earth unfortunately has both) he changed into his indis suit, “2 HOURS UNTIL ARRIVAL” read the warp interface, “I’m so thankful for faster than light travel or this would take absurdly long” he thought, “time to find something to do” “I’m only in the middle of space how hard could it possibly be”
1 HOUR LATER
“I’m sooooooo bored” Cenvil complained, having watched some earth videos on creatures called cats that looked disturbingly similar to arirals “I wish there was somethi- OH” disengaging the warp drive, coming to a stop and pulling out a tether bundle, “I almost forgot I had these!” he exclaimed, then attaching one to his suit he stepped into the airlock, venting the air into the main cabin he exited the ship, “absolute silence” he sighed peacefully as he drifted not to far from the ship.
After such a calming experience and multiple small space rocks to his (thankfully armored) head he continued on, starting the warp drive back up and hoping to sleep the rest of the journey he tucked in to the ship’s built-in bed and drifted off, knowing he would need the rest.
YET ANOTHER HOUR LATER
awoken by the ship’s autopilot after entering orbit, he excitedly rushed to the command seat, stopping in his tracks as he was amazed at how beautiful it was from space, after taking in the view for a few minutes he started searching for somewhere to land.
“that forest looks pretty nice” he thought to himself, “nice and empty, perfect”.
