“So,” she says, barely glancing up. “Team leader application?”
“Yes.”
“You’re new to this industry?”
“In a formal sense, yes.”
“Last role?”
“Music. International. I stepped back recently.”
She doesn’t flinch. “So you’re between lives.”
He smiles at how lyrical that sounds. “Something like that.”
