“Hey babe?” Draco called out.
“Yeah?” Hermione said as she walked into the house they now shared.
“Someone is wondering if their mum will take them flying.” Draco grinned as he walked in with their twins, 6 year old twins, Cassie and Leo.
“Oh?” Hermione mused.
“Please mummy! Daddy can come too if he wants!” Cassie says sweetly.
“Yeah daddy can come too!” Leo agreed.
“Shall we wait for Uncle Atlas, Harry and Theo? They should be coming soon with your cousins.” Hermione said hoping to ease the twins excitement.
“Yay!” The twins cheer in excitement.
“Go change my little loves.” Hermione said softly and she watched them run off to their rooms.
“You’re sure you are up for flying?” Draco asked softly as he came up behind her.
“I am, even if it’s only for a few moments. Besides it’ll be a while before I can actually fly with them.” Hermione said as she rested a hand on her stomach.
“Have you decided when we are telling our families?” Draco asked her. “Soon. I just want to make it out of the first trimester first.” Hermione says.
Draco nodded in understanding. “Understandable. Now what time will everyone be arriving?”
“In about an hour.” Hermione informs him.
“Hm…an hour, you say?” Draco grinned.
“Draco Lucius Granger-Malfoy, no. Our children are upstairs.” Hermione says.
“I can be quick.” He shrugs.
Hermione let out a snort, “As much as I’d love too, our children are upstairs. How about this, tomorrow my parents take them and then we can do whatever we want.”
“That I can live with.” Draco compromised.
“Mummy!” Cassie shouted.
“I’m being summoned by our daughter. Will you make sure Leo is dressed appropriately? Last time we went flying, he thought that pajamas were perfect flying attire.”
“Yes pretty girl.” Draco said and he made his way upstairs to their son’s room while Hermione headed to Cassie’s room.
“Need help baby?” Hermione asked Cassie.
“Yes please.” Cassie nodded.
“Well how about we pick out some shorts and then a falcon’s jersey?” Hermione suggested as she held up a jersey.
“Ooh okay! With pigtails?” Cassie asked.
Hermione smiled softly, “With pigtails.”
Cassie began to get dressed and then she sat in front of Hermone to let her do her hair. “Mummy?”
“Yeah princess?” Hermione said.
“Did you play Quidditch in school?” Cassie asked softly.
Hermione smiled softly, “I did. Although it was only for our last year school.”
“Was it scary?” Cassie asked curiously. “At first it was. But then I got used to flying and I had Uncle Atlas to help me and then your Uncle Harry too.”
“Can I play Quidditch when I’m older?” Cassie asked as Hermione finished her hair.
Hermione picked Cassie up, “You can do whatever you want princess.”
“Really?” Cassie asked while her eyes lit up with determination. “Within reason princess. Your daddy and I will help you.” Hermione confirmed.
“After you have the baby?” Cassie asked innocently.
“Yes.” Hermione chuckled.
“Yay!” Cassie cheered and she ran out of the room to find her father and her twin.
Hermione shook her head at her daughter.

An hour later, the floo activated and in walked Theo, Harry and their two children.
“Oh Malfoy twins! Your favorite uncle is here!” Theo announced and a few moments later the floo sounded once more and it revealed Atlas and his wife, Vera.
“Wrong! Uncle Atlas is here!” Atlas called out.
“Uncle Atlas!” The twins cheer and they make a beeline for him. “Oh that’s not cool.” Theo huffed.
“Oh hush Theo, they love you too.” Harry reassures his husband.
After giving Atlas a hug, Cassie made a beeline for Theo. “Hi uncle T!” Cassie grinned. “Well hi little miss Cassie.”
“Did you know mummy played Quidditch?” Cassie asked her uncle.
“I did. Mummy was a great Quidditch player.” Theo said. “Better than daddy, uncle Harry and uncle Atlas?” Cassie wondered innocently.
“Not that great Cass. I was decent at best.” Hermione chimed in. Draco let out a scoff, “Pretty girl, although you had only been playing a year, you were one of the best Quidditch players I’ve seen.”
“You’re just saying that because you’re my husband and we were dating at the time.” Hermione reasons.
Draco shook his head at his wife. “Well why don’t we head out back and let the kids fly a bit?”
“Sounds good to me.” The guys agree.
Both Hermione and Vera nod in agreement.
As they head outside, Leo and Cassie pulled their cousins to their shed where the training brooms were. “Training brooms?” Theo wondered.
“Yes training brooms Theo, do you have a problem with that?” Hermione questioned and she gave him a withering look.
“Nope.” Theo said.
“Good.” Hermione nodded.
“Leo! Wait for me son!” Draco called out as he spotted his son head towards the clearing. Leo slowed down and he waited for Draco and his sister. “Mummy! Are you coming?” Cassie asked.
“Yes.” Hermione said. “Are you sure you should be flying Hermione?” Vera asked. “It’ll be for a minute and I’ll only be hovering a few feet in the air for the twins.” Hermione explained.
“They want to see you fly?” Vera asked softly. “They do. They’ve never actually seen me fly and play Quidditch. Although I did promise Cassie we’d play a pick-up game after I have the baby and once I am healthy enough.”
Vera nodded in understanding.
Making her way towards her family, Hermione picked up the exact broom that she had used when she first began playing Quidditch; and it was the same broom she used during her first Quidditch game nearly ten years ago.
“Look Leo! Mummy’s got her broom!” Cassie cheered. “Go mummy!” Leo cheered alongside Cassie.
“Careful pretty girl.” Draco cautioned. “I know babe.” Hermione reassured him.
True to her word, she only hovered in the air for about ten minutes before she planted her feet on the ground. “Remember that feeling?” Harry asked her once she was back on the ground.
“Of course I do. It was one of the best feelings I had felt in a long time. Especially with the way my life had been turning out.” Hermione sighed.
“And now?” Harry asked.
“Flying had been an escape, essentially the air I breathed and it felt so amazing. But now, raising my kids with my husband is the air I breath. Everything I do is for them.” Hermione says as she watched Draco with the twins.
“Mummy!” Cassie cries out in excitement. “I see you little love. Careful please!” Hermione says.
“I got them love.” Draco assures her.
Ten years ago, if you would have asked Hermione where she would have seen herself in ten years, she would have said working at the ministry, but now? She wouldn’t trade her life for anything. Being a mum and Draco’s wife as well as a pediatric healer meant everything to her.
Suddenly she felt Draco land on his feet next to her. “What are you thinking about love?” He asked her.
“Our life and how we’ve changed within the last ten years.” Hermione said as she watch the kids chase each other and play tag.
“A good thing, I hope?” Draco asked and he wrapped his arms around her.
“A very good thing.” Hermione breathed.
