    You remember when the state took control over the last fully human countries when you were just a child. You were separated from your family and put into group homes until you became an adult, and that was 2 years ago. The state automatically entered every human male into an assignment pool when they turned 18, unless they either went to college to pursue higher education or were the children of the top 1%. You were lucky enough to go to college to try and escape the assignment program, but as you got an associate's degree, you received a letter requesting your presence at the nearest Department of Marriage building. You knew you were going to be assigned, and you tried to find a way to weasel out of it.
