Chapter Text
I buried you where silence sleeps,
Beneath the vows that no one keeps.
I smile through my days, ever since I walked away,
But oh, how you haunt the breath I pray.
A phantom flame, you flicker near,
without a voice, I still can hear.
The moment when my soul first knew:
"I've spent lifetimes loving you."
You are the ache behind my smile,
The ghost I carry mile, by mile.
My twin flame I can not claim
Because you are not mine to tame.
I try to bloom, to start anew
but these roots remember. And they miss you.
You are not my now, you are not my plan.
You are not the one who holds my hand.
But damn you were a sacred spark
that lit a wildfire through my dark.
I shouldn't want you, but somewhere I do,
A softer life still longs a little bit for you.
You rise in dream I can't outrun,
Like dusk still bleeding out the sun.
I love another. Still, you stay
A soft ember I can not cast away.
No finish line, no sweet release
Just love that begs for peace.
So connected through our core
energetically knocking on your door,
if you ever feel a dull sting,
A warmth that hums without a ring,
It's me,
Still burning through my chest.
Still loving you the way I know best.
