Summary
Sky Kingdom scholars prophesied that the Shattering would be the end of the disaster. They never predicted that it was only the beginning.
Shard eruptions from Eden brought about a new problem: the sky children who went to purify those shards became sick until they gave into the voices in their minds, promising that their every whim would come true. No-one ever spoke of the terrible price that this would convey.
