Chapter Text
Sun shining through his blinds and birds chirping loudly in the distance was enough to make Hyuntak stir, but not enough to fully wake him up. Trying to avoid being woken up, he turned to face the wall pulling his blanket up just enough to cover half his face and hopefully block out the light pouring into his room so that he could ease back into a deep sleep.
Ding!
Ding!
With a groan, Hyuntak shifted more towards the wall, trying to ignore the buzzing from his phone. ‘It’s probably just Baku or the group chat’ he thought resting his head against his pillow ‘I really need to start putting my phone on do not disturb when I go to sleep’.
Ding!
Sighing, he forced himself to turn back over so he could reach his phone charging on his bedside table. “This better not be Baku rambling about something stupid so early in the morning..” he mumbled turning his phone on and checking the notifications.
“Who the hell is this..” he muttered seeing three texts from an unknown number. He hadn’t given anyone new his number recently and no one he knew would be texting him like this anyway.
Unknown: Good morning baby ♡
Unknown: You should get up soon don’t waste your day away in bed
Unknown: I ordered a coffee and something for breakfast to wake you up ♡
“What the hell..” he muttered rereading the texts.
“This has to be Baku trying to play a prank on me or maybe it’s just some bot account..”
Sighing, he put his phone back down and decided to go brush his teeth, there was no way he was getting anymore sleep after seeing those texts. After another glance at his phone, he got up and headed to the bathroom, deciding that he’d just ask his friends about it later instead of worrying too much.
After brushing his teeth and a quick shower, Hyuntak changed out of his pajamas and into some sweatpants and his blue hoodie, he wasn’t planning on going out today so there was no need to put in much effort. He was about to go back to his phone and check if there were anymore strange messages when he heard his doorbell ring.
‘It’s so early in the morning, who would want to see me now?’ He thought walking towards the door.
‘Unless that text was real.. I doubt any of them would actually go that far though theres no way..’
“Delivery for Go Hyuntak?”The man said holding out two bags, one with a caramel latte and one that seemed to have a few pancakes in, he couldn’t fully see into them.
“I-Uh, yeah that’s me” He blurted out after a few seconds of silence, he never expected someone to actually send him anything.
“Thanks..” He muttered as the man handed him the bags before turning to leave.
Hyuntak stood there for a second after shutting the door, just thinking. ‘So that text was actually for real… but how would they know where I live and what’s with the weird pet name. Is it even worth asking everyone if this was from them, I doubt anyone would go through the trouble of sending this here and I know none of them would call me baby’.
After another minute or so of trying to think about what just happened, he placed the bags on his dining table and decided he should hurry up and eat before everyrhing got cold, free food is free food and he’s not gonna say no to a free meal. It was delivered normally so it probably wouldn’t have poison or anything weird in it either.
As he took the first bite of the pancakes, his face lit up. It had been a while since he had eaten them and he wasn’t expecting the random meal sent to his house by an unknown number to actually taste good. He quickly ate the rest of them while taking sips of the coffee in between, too focused on his delicious meal to remember the actual issue he now had.
After throwing away the rubbish left over from his meal, Hyuntak strolled back to his bedroom, still taking sips of the coffee as he walked and grabbed his phone. He stilled seeing the messages from the unknown number still there and decided to confront them rather than ask any of his friends.
Me: Who is this?
While waiting for a reply from the number, he checked who else had texted him and, as expected, it mainly from Baku and his group chat with Juntae and Sieun with one other text from his Mom just asking how he was and telling him he needs to study more. He responded to her first, he saying he was fine and that he’d make sure to save some time for studying, though he wasn’t too sure if that'd actually happen. Then he looked at the chats frim the group chat, it was just Baku trying to convince Sieun to hang out with them later today but it didn’t look like he’d be successful and he already knew Gotak would go with them so he didn’t bother replying to that.
Then, just a few minutes after Hyuntak had texted, he got a reply from the number.
Unknown: Your future husband ♡
Rolling his eyes, Hyuntak typed out a reply, he should’ve known that whoever was crazy enough to call him baby and send stuff to his house wouldn't give him a proper answer.
Me: Just tell me who you are
or I’m blocking you it’s weird
enough that you even know
where I live
The next message came in just a few seconds.
Unknown:If you block me I’ll go
after your friends I already know
where you live it wouldnt be hard
find them
Unknown:I’ll go after the short one
with the glasses first i know he can’t
fight so it wouldn’t take long maybe
i’ll even bring you to watch so you know
not to test me too much
“What the fuck just happened” Hyuntak mumbled reading the messages over and over. So not only does this creep know where he live but he also knows his friends well enough to know who can and can’t fight.
“What do I even do about this.. should I tell the police or maybe telling everyone about it so they can protect themselves might be better” He said clicking off his messages with the number and trying to warn his friends.
But before he could type out anything to them tje next message came through.
Unknown: And don’t even bother with
the police or telling your little friends
about this, if you tell anyone about
this I’ll beat them to death and maybe
I’ll make you give the final blow so
their blood will be on your hands alone
Unknown: I’d just like to keep this as our
little secret for now but I’ll still make
sure no one comes near you I don’t like to
share whats mine ♡
“What the hell is even going on anymore..” Hyuntak muttered as his hands began to shake.
Did this mean he had an actual stalker? But why him and why now? everything had been going well for him since the Union had come to an end. No more worrying about Na Baekjin or Keum Seongje, he got to go out without constantly looking over his shoulder and looking out for a fight. Why was this suddenly happening now?
It was all too much at once. He put his phone on do not disturb, leaving it and the half drank coffee on his bed side table as he climbed back into bed. It wasn’t even midday on a Saturday and he already felt like his weekend had been ruined.
Deciding there was nothing else he could do about this situation now, he tucked himself back into bed letting sleep wash over him and allowing himself to forget about the newfound danger he would have to face when he woke up.
