Summary
One quiet night in Gusu, a strange rift in spiritual energy pulls future Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian, now married and living in peace, a decade into the past—right into the middle of the Cloud Recesses lectures. Their unexpected arrival stuns everyone, especially their younger selves, who are still navigating their rivalry and misunderstandings.
To protect the timeline, the couple reveals little. Wei Wuxian does not give his name, referring to himself only as Lan Wangji’s husband, a title that unsettles and intrigues in equal measure.
Lan Qiren grows suspicious, Jiang Cheng is outraged, and the students whisper in curiosity and confusion. Despite efforts to remain distant, their presence quietly alters the emotional landscape. Young Wei Wuxian begins to feel drawn to Lan Wangji, while Young Lan Wangji is forced to question his feelings and future.
Though their stay is brief, it leaves behind a subtle shift—a seed of love, the ache of possibility, and a future neither of them can name just yet.
