Love.
“Aika, what is love?”
Asking someone like Aika is probably a good idea.
“Huh? Hoshi, you know what that is.”
“No, what is it? Loving something?”
Aika looked a little confused, reasonably so.
“.. Why are you asking?”
“It's complex, Aika,” The star said, hovering near the stove.
“Love is something I can't figure out fully.. and I wanna understand it.”
“Well, love is a very strong feeling of affection, and connection. It comes in many different forms, like romantic love, platonic love, and… familial love. Love keeps a lot of things together…. I think.”
There was a small pause.
“Is there anything you love, Hoshi?”
Anything they love.
Judging by Aika’s unfortunately vague explanation, it seems pretty easy.
“Peace and quiet. You're kinda loud. I like the stars. Emptiness.”
“Ignoring the fact that you just called me loud, that's kinda depressing..”
Hoshi snorted,
“No, it's not. At least whatever you’re thinking of is not what I meant by emptiness. This planet is very small, and it feels cramped sometimes, so I like empty space.. It also felt really cramped in that dark dark little magic box but you know..”
“Get a grip, Hoshi.”

Love is still a little confusing to them, but Aika helped regardless.
“Soo, does that mean you love Zira?”
Aika immediately spit out the water that she was drinking.
“HUH?— No. What are you talking about?”
