I would love to see a MHA x Double Dragon’s fanfic. With a guest appearance form AtLA.
I could see it going something like this…
Basically Inko Midoriya and Hisashi Akatani divorce when Izuku and his twin Mikumo only 1 month old. Inko gains custody of Izuku, while Hisashi gains custody of Mikumo. The twins get separated by half a world away!!!!
About 5 months later, Inko meets a nice man named Yagi Toshinori, they start dating, and marry 6 months later. A year after Izuku and Mikumo are born. Nine months later Inko gives birth to a beautiful baby girl named Izumi or Izuko. Izuku is almost 2 at the time.
Anyways when Izuku Midoriya and Mikumo Akatani are 4 both are declared Quirkless! Hisashi, furious that his kid is a “Freak of Nature” he sends the boy off to his father, the Eldest Dragon of the West; Iroh Akatani, who begins raising Mikumo. Mikumo gains a personality similar to both Prince Zuko and Jimmy Lee the Red Dragon.

Iroh is still the Brother of Ozai “Akatani” who is a Chinese Villain called Phoenix King. They are the sons of Azulon Akatani a Chinese Villain called Fire Lord. Azulon in the son of Sozen Akatani a Japanese Villain named Crimson Comet, his wife btw is the daughter of AFO.
Anyways, Ozai raped Ursa Rokusdottir who birthed Azula Akatani a Chinese Villainess named Azure Lightning. Lu Tin elder brother of Hisashi and he was also the husband of Ursa but he was killed by Ozai.
Lu Tin and Ursa are the parents of Zuko Akatani the Chinese Hero Blue Spirit who is married to Katara the Alaskan Hero Painted Lady, her brother Sokka is the Alaskan Hero Wolf Warrior and his fiance Suki is the Korean Hero Kyoshi Warrior, her cousin Toph is the Vietnamese Hero Blind Bandit and her boyfriend Aang is the Tibetan Hero Air Nomad.

Izumi Yagi is also declared Quirkless.
Now in this, Inko is more observant than her cannon counterpart and realizes very quickly that Bakugo is bullying her baby, and the school isn’t doing anything to stop it, and it’s all because her son is Quirkless. So she pulls Izuku out of the school and home schools him, she also gets him a psychiatrist to deal with what happened. She also gets into contact with her former father-in-law, whom she fondly calls “Uncle Iroh”, and asks him to help train Izuku, he agrees. Izuku Midoriya gains a personality similar to both Aang and Billy Lee the Blue Dragon.
6 years before U.A. Entrance Exams, All-Might fights AFO and is left in bad condition. Izuku is about 13 or 14 years old.
Around the time the Twins are 14, both are masters of the Dragon Style Karate that Iroh teaches, and after he tells them an ancient legend passed down in their family for 2000 years, the twins grab each other’s right hands and Izuku says “For Right!” then Mikumo says “For Might!” and both say together “We Are Double Dragon’s!” they transform into the legendary Double Dragon’s of old. Iroh is stunned into speechlessness and his left stupefied.
Iroh recovers quickly and takes them to a Quirk doctor and he once again confirms that the twins are Quirkless, surprised and confused Iroh asks them both to do the chant once again, they do so, and transform, the doctor is mind boggled and tests them again, and finds out that they now have a quirk. They repeat this 6 times, until the doctor is satisfied. He tells them that “Quirked twins with different quirks are rare, Quirked twins with similar quirks are rarer still, but twin quirks, twins with the exact same quirk that need each other to activate are much rarer, the absolute rarest in fact!” he then tells them that “Their quirk is the latter, and can only be used together, the closer they are the more powerful they will be, but as a consequence, any damage one takes, the other will receive as well. And the farther away they are from the other the weaker they become.”
The twins go home and tell their mom, who while happy, unfortunately has to tell them that their Step-father was in a bad accident, this puts a damper on things for a while, and Yagi is left in the hospital for 6 months. During this time the Twins try to see if they can give their power to their sister, they can and she ends up being able to activate the power on her own by calling out "For the Light of the Dragon".
She gets a white samurai armor like Kami. And will eventually call herself "The White Dragon Hero: For-Light."
Form there the twins and their sister train in their powers until they go to U.A. at the age of 19 or 20, because U.A. is basically a Military Police & Law Enforcement College or University, I mean Pro-Heroes are basically government employed bounty hunters who track down criminals beat the crap out of them and then hand them over to the police. Anyways Iroh is a friend of Nezu and tells him about the twins, so he allows them to be in the same testing ground but only if they swear on their honor not to tag team on everything. They both get into 1-A.
When All-Might gets out of the hospital, he has already decided to give OFA to Melissa Shields, so she'll be in 1-A with the twins. This puts 2 extra students in 1-A, I would drop Mineta to 1-C, and place Bakugo in 1-B, with Bondo being dropped down to 1-C.
I could easily see Shinzo being Izuku’s cousin sort of like Sonny Lee, and Izuku and Mikumo can gift him with temporary power armors like Blaster, Chop, Vortex and Tsunami, depending on the situation.
As for pairings? I could see one of 2 things, a double Harem, Izuku x the now 7 1-A girls: Melissa , Momo, Tsuyu, Mina, Tooru, Jiro and Ochako, along with Mei, Seiko and Nejire.
And Mikumo x the 7 1-B girls: Itsuka, Setsuna, Ibara, Pony, Reiko, Kinoko and Yui alongside Camie, Kashiko and Ippon Josei.
Or for just singular pairings; Izuku x Melissa, with Mikumo x Momo, and Shinzo x Toga, because he was looked down on all his life for having a so-called villainous quirk, so I think he’d be able to help her with her own so-called villainous work. .
Izuku would be the Blue Dragon Hero: For-Right!
And Mikumo would be the Red Dragon Hero: For-Might!
Melissa Shields could call herself the Paragon Hero: Valiant, and were a costume like the USA Nairo Zero Suit Samus. The name is based off of prototype All-Might's hero name, and the title is what I believe was Nana's hero name.

Oh, and at the U.S.J. Tomura is no longer the boss it is Shadow Master (cough*Hisashi*cough).
Now as to how the Twins get their Super Armor modes? I would say that it just naturally evolves, let’s say during the Training Camp. Or even during the Kamino Ward Battle.
