Chapter Text

Bella Swan's POV:

I haven't seen Edward or any of the Cullen's since my birthday and that was a week ago. I love Edward, and I know he loves me too. But why can't he just talk to me?

I have to go to school today, Jessica wants me and her go shopping with Angela after school. I want to do it too, but I want to see Edward more.

"Bella come on you have to go to school now or you will be late." My dad called up to me.

"Almost ready dad, you can go ahead and leave."

"Okay, just call if you need anything."

"Okay dad."

I wish my dad knew about everything, it would be so much easier. So I turn around and grab my phone and car keys from desk and my bag from my chair.

Bang, I just closed the front door and locked it and when I turn around I saw Edward. 

"Edward are you okay? Why haven't you been to see me?"

"Bella, follow me please and I will explain everything."

So I follow him and we walk for about 2 hours until we reach a fallen tree we would go and talk at.

"Bella me and my family are leaving."

Wait they are leaving why didn't he tell me?

"I will have to make up a reason why I am leaving to my dad."

"Bella you are not coming, I don't love you, I have never loved you. Goodbye."

And he just walked off. No he don't get to after everything we have been through.

"Edward wait, please wait!"

"No Bella I hate you. "

I can't believe he would say those things, I thought he loved me.

What is this burning sensation that I am feeling.

"If you ever come back Edward I will kill you."

What is this i'm a human I can't kill him, why am I so angry to start a fight with a vampire.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, Wait what? Why am I on all fours?

Then there is a voice inside my head

Then there was multiple gasps, wait there is more than one voice in my head?

Yeah there is my name is Paul Lahote and 3rd in command.

And I am Jared Cameron, the beta or 2nd in command.

Sam Uley:

Bella, you are not Quileute, we will have to see why you phased, can you unphase, and Paul go back to mine and ask Emily for some cloths and bring them back here.

Paul Lahote:

Yes Alpha.

How did I phase?

Jared Cameron:

You must had gotten really mad, but we need to get off this land.

Sam Uley:

What happened maybe that can help us, and Paul hurry you know about the treaty.

Paul Lahote:

Just got the cloths, heading back now

I got mad Edward he left me and said he never loved me. Wait when I said there must be more than one person in my head how did you know I never said anything?

Sam Uley:

Because we can read each others minds, and Edward was a cold one that could be the reson why you shifted and plus how he left you, I will ask the elders. Now Bella I need you to phase and put on the cloths that Paul just sat beside you.

Yes Alpha

Woah that felt weird. 

"Hey I'm Sam Uley, now you know what I look like Paul went back to Emily's to tell her everything and Jared is calling a meeting with the elders."

I turn around and see this tall man, he looks like a alpha.

"I'm glad I do."

"Oh I forgot you can read minds."

"Yeah we can read each others when we phase and out but its harder when we not in wolf form, I can only do it easy because I am the alpha."

"Wow thats cool."

"Yeah and since you are the fourth to phase you are fourth in command, so if something happens to me, then to Jared and then to Paul then you will be in charge. Or if us three on watch duty and other phasers if we have others will have to listen to you."

"Wow that is a lot to take in."

"Yeah."

"Lets run to my house now."

Yeah okay, and I turn to him and he smiles.

That is when we come upon a beautiful house.

"So this is my house I share with my imprint Emily, I will explain imprinting later."

"Its beautiful."

"Thanks," He smiles.

I hope the elder's likes me.

"They will and we will get answers."

I hope. I think to him and he just puts his arm on my shoulder for comfort.

That is when we walk inside.

Bella's pov:

So we walk inside and I look around and see two teen boys talking to each other, Billy Black, Jacob's father, and Charlie's best friend. Harry Clearwater, Charlie's friend. Sue Clearwater Harry's wife. Another older guy, and a young woman that I'm guessing is Emily, is serving drinks and a LOT of food. Why do we need that much?

Wait why is my stomach growling, that is when I hear laughing and I turn to see Sam laughing, oh yeah he can read my mind.

I feel someone watching me so I look up to find Billy staring at me, that is when Sam speaks up.

"Jared, what did you say to them?"

But before Jared could speak Billy spoke first.

"Sam, why is Bella here? She can't be here for this. Have Emily take her home, and since it's during the day I'm pretty sure Charlie has got a call and is worried."

That's it no one can say Charlie is worried about me after what he has done to me.

"Bella calm down, please and let Sam explain everything, Billy with respect please stop talking about Charlie." One of the teen boys said.

So I started to calm down.

"Jared can help you calm down too since he is my beta," Sam said through our pack link. 

"Billy we have a lot to discuss, starting with how Charlie is not Bella's father and how the heck did she phase." Sam said and I heard a collective gasp around the room.

"Bella, can you tell us everything that happened today," asked Sue Clearwater.

"Yeah sure, it actually started a week ago on my birthday, Alice had thrown a party even though I didn't want one, and at the party I got a paper cut and that is when Jasper went to attack me, though it is not his fault he felt everyone's bloodlust in that room. So Edward threw me back, which made me bleed even more. They all had to leave the room, while Carlisle patched me up. Then Edward took me home."

"Wait sorry Bella to interrupt, Edward actually threw you back and not actually took you out of the room."

"Sure, I never thought about it that way."

"Bella just got back to the story," said Billy. I can hear that he is getting angry.

"So skip a week or so this morning, I got up and was running late and so was Charlie, so I told him to go ahead and go. After I got everything I needed I left and went outside to go to my truck. That is when I saw Edward and he told me to follow him, so I did and we walked until we got to this tree that had fallen, we would go and hang out there a lot. I had asked him if he was okay, but didn't answer and started to say that he and his family were leaving. I thought I was going to go with him, but that is when he said that I wasn't and that he didn't love me and never had."

"Bella, is this when you start to get angry?" Harry Clearwater questioned.

"Yeah, when he said that I was like no because of everything we have been through and I yelled for him to wait and he just turned around and he hates me, then I started to feel a burn, and I yelled at him that I will kill him if he ever comes back and I was just so angry and then a pain shot through and I phased and Sam Helped me with Jared and Paul."

"Okay me Harry, Sue, and Quil Ateara the third will all talk and try to figure out who your parents really are. If I were you I would confront Charlie, and Bella. I'm sorry he never told me."

"Billy it's not your fault, it's Charlie. Sam, can you come with me?"

"Yeah I will but eat first, I can hear your stomach growling."

I blush and hear the boys laughing.

"Boys be nice, hey Bella i'm Emily Sam's imprint and fiance."

"Nice to meet you too."

10 minutes later

"Alright let's go Bella, Jared come with us, Paul go on watch."

"We will go in our wolf form because we will go on watch after."

"Okay, Bella, you can go behind a tree and strip and tie your clothes to your leg then shift."

So I go behind the tree and strip then I phase.

Sam:

Can you hear me Bella?

Yeah I can

Jared:

Paul, are you in place?

Paul:

Yeah, and I don't see or smell any cold ones

So do we kill cold ones and watch the reservation?

Sam:

Yes we do, Paul and Jared only go to school on Mondays and Thursdays. Since you are here now, we will need to make a better schedule for who goes when. Billy will help with that.

Paul:

I'm okay with not going to school, so I can take more watching shifts for Bella and Jared

Sam:

Yeah I know but now that Bella has phased we will have help with watching and can go to school more.

Since I'm older I can take more watching shifts and let the younger ones go to school more

Sam: 

Thank you Bella, Paul and Jared. I think that is a good idea.

Paul:

Come on Bella, you could have helped me out a little.

Sorry Paul

Jared:

So when is Bella getting a hair cut?

Wait, I have to have a hair cut?

Sam:

Yes you do it will be easier to phase, you don't have to have it short like us. just like ear short maybe longer Quil Sr will know.

Oh okay

Sam:

We are here, Jared stay outside and keep in wolf form, if I need you, I will send you a link to phase out and come and help, Bella go phase and I will do the same. Paul tries to stay out of the link.

Paul:

I come out of the woods and I see Charlie is home, and I see him walk out.

Charlie Swan's POV:

I have been at work for about a couple of hours, when I hear the phone ringing.

"Chief Swan speaking."

"Hello Chief Swan, i'm calling to see if Bella is okay, she is not in school."

Wait Bella should be.

"Ma'am she said she was on her way to school, thank you for letting me know I will go out and look for her."

"I hope you find her Chief Swan."

"Thank you."

What has Bella done now? First she left earlier this year, and now she doesn't go to school. I will give her until 5pm tonight to show up and if she doesn't I will put out a missing person report.

It's now just after noon, and I haven't tried calling her and it goes to voice mail. I guess her phone is off. I told her to call me if she needed anything.

That is when I go to the kitchen to get me a beer, I see Bella and Sam walking out of the woods. Why is she with Sam Uley? He is like 21 and Bella is just 17, and I see Bella looks nervous. Wait, she doesn’t have that outfit. What did he do to her?

So I walk out and head towards them.

"Bella, are you okay, did Sam hurt you?"

"No, now Charlie, who are my real parents?"

Paul Lahote's POV:

Why do I feel like I need to protect Bella, I only knew of her as the leech lover. But now I feel drawn to her not like imprinting but like a brother.

Wait why is Sam getting mad.

Paul:

Jared, why is Sam sending me a feeling of anger?

Jared:

No clue I feel it too, but I think it's because Charlie was looking at Sam like he did something to Bella.

Paul:

What the heck Sam would never do anything to Bella, Sam is an older brother to all of us.

Sam:

Paul I said to try and stay out, but Jared is correct, Charlie thought I did something to Bella he asked if I did something and Bella said no and asked him who her real parents are and he didn't say anything but he looked kinda scared.

Paul:

Wow

Jared:

Yeah wow

Sam:

Stay off Paul, Jared be on alert

Paul:

Yes alpha

Jared:

Yes alpha

Sam Uley's POV:

I can't believe Charlie would think I would do something to Bella. she is my little sister, ever since she phased she is. Charlie better tell us the truth.

"Sam, you can leave, me and Bella need to talk."

"I'm not leaving, Bella wants me here."

"Yeah she might, but this is my house and I'm asking you to leave."

Sam:

Jared come in now

Jared:

Yes alpha

"But all due respect, Bella asked me to be here, and my friend is coming down because he was told to wait outside just in case you became hostile."

"Fine you can stay, and your friend too, Bella what do you want to know?"

"I want to know who my parents are, oh and hello Jared."

"So you are Jared, Sam how do you know Jared is like 15, and you are like 20."

Bella's POV:

Why does Charlie think Sam is some kind of bad guy? I'm going to put him in his place.

"Charlie, Sam is 19 and Jared is 16, they are friends from Sam giving Jared a job at his auto shop."

"Okay okay, your mother Bella, your real one, she was in an abusive relationship, and you are the first born of the family. After she gave you to me she had another kid, a boy, and your father made sure she didn't give him up too. So after your father died by her hands and that was covered up, she couldn't take you back because she didn't have the money, Renee and me offered to help her out but she declined and asked if we just raised you until you turned 18 to tell you the truth, I didn't know you would figure it out. I thought I had time. I will have to call your mother now."

Wow that is a lot to take in, so I have a younger brother. My mother is still alive, does she want me?

"Charlie, how did you know my mother and who is she?"

"She is my best friend, we haven't really talked in like 7 years because she said it would be hard to see you and for me to talk about you."

"Charlie, who is she, and why don't you want to tell us?" Sam questioned.

"Sam, I have promised to not tell anyone who she is."

"Charlie please I need to know, and I want to get to know my brother."

"Bella I can't"

"Chief Swan, please just tell us."

"I can't, I won't betray her trust in me."

"Charlie, do you believe in the tribe's histories? I know Billy told you some of them when Bella got back in town."

"Billy did and I don't know if I do or not."

"Charlie, I want to get to know my family, I promise you that I won't tell her it was you that told me, please Charlie."

"Fine Bella, don't tell her it was me, her name is Nelly Lahote, and your brother is Paul Lahote."

What, is that why I feel a connection to Paul?

Sam, can you hear me?

I look up to see Sam nod.

Can we go? I want to talk to Paul, and ask about his family?

Sam:

Yeah we can, Jared go take Paul's place, Paul go back to my house and call Billy. Tell him we found out who Bella's parents are.

Jared:

On it

Paul:

Yeah, who are they?

Bella:

Not now Paul please.

Paul:

Yeah okay

Sam Uley's POV:

"Charlie we are leaving now, and Bella will be packing her bags, if she doesn't live with Nelly she can live with me."

"Bella please don't leave me, I'm still your father, and Renee is your mother."

"Not to me, Charlie, parents wouldn't keep secrets, and not telling me I was adopted, is keeping secrets and I don't like it. I can understand why my mother did what she did. I might be mad at her that she didn't come and get it after my father died but I can understand."

"Bella, Terrance Lahote, was killed four years ago and they are living paycheck to paycheck, you will have a job at the auto shop, and can help out Nelly and Paul. Us pack will help too."

"So I was 13 when he died, Charlie. That is when you came up with the idea for you to see me 2 weeks out the summer in Arizona or California. Is it because Nelly was around you or do you think it was because she might tell me if she saw me."

"Bella, she came to me and asked for me to try and keep you away more, she didn't like having handouts and she didn't have the money to take care of a 13 and a 12 year old. She barely had enough for Paul. So I agreed and I'm glad you were okay with it."

"Bella, why don't you and Jared go and pack."

So after Bella and Paul went upstairs, I turned back to Charlie.

"Charlie, is there anything else you have to say, that you tell Bella?"

"Yeah, Nelly killed Terrance but I'm the one to hide the body, I was there after she did it. He beat up Paul, and it was the first time he did, she was okay that she was the one to be hit but once he raised his hand to Paul she was through with him. She had talked to him and said don't do it again, and he said he wouldn't but that night he raised his hand again, and she told Paul to run to my house to get me. I told Paul to stay here while I went to go and help, but by the time I got there Terrance was dead and she shot him. I covered it up."

Sam:

Bella I know you heard and i'm sorry I thought you couldn't hear

Bella:

Sam it's okay, I would have done the same to protect my little brother.

Jared:

Are you sure you okay Bella, I don't think I could be okay

Paul:

Bella if you need a hug i'm here

Bella:

I will take you up on that

Sam:

Are you packed Bella?

Bella:

Yeah

Sam:

Paul, are you at my house?

Paul:

No I was waiting until you left

Sam:

Go ahead and go to my house

"Charlie, we will be leaving now."

"Okay Bella take care."

"Okay Charlie and don't tell mom I know yet. I want to talk to Paul and then mom."

"Okay Bella."

"Oh, before I forget, Bella will be going to school on the reservation now."

"Okay, after you talk to Nelly, I will send the paperwork to her."

Bella Lahote's POV:

Me and Sam got into my truck, Sam said he would drive.

"Sam, do you know if Paul ever wanted siblings."

"He said he did, once and that was a year ago when I gave him a job."

"Okay, can you always read my mind?"

"Not always, only when I want to and if you are close to me like in the same room, but most of the time I block it out. I learned that the hard way, Jared has some really weird thoughts."

"Oh okay, do I want to know what Jared thinks?"

"No Bella you do not, and if you focus a lot you can read our minds too, I normally teach Paul and Jared on Saturdays, so if you want in on it."

"That sounds awesome, you know that the Cullen's have powers too right?"

"They do, what are they?"

"Well, Carlisle he can resist human blood good, Esme has motherly power which means shes motherly all the time, Emmentt he has enhanced strength, Rosalie's is beauty, Jasper can feel everyone's emotion and project emotions to people, Alice's power is Subjective precognition which means she can see the future but her visions can change, and Edward can read minds, I don't know if he plant thoughts or memories in other peoples minds or not. Also Esme and Carlisle are mates, so are Emmentt and Rosalie, also Alice and Jasper. Edward made me think he was mine."

"Wow that is a lot, I will have to tell the elders this."

"I know and you have my full permission."

I look out and see we pulled up to Sam's house. So we get out and then I'm pulled into a tight hug by Paul.

"Bella, are you okay?"

"Kinda little brother."

i'm making Bella 17, and she was 16 when she met Edward. So I changed chapter 2 to say Bella is 17.

Paul Lahote's POV:

Wait, did Bella just call me her little brother, does my mother know?

"Bella, what do you mean by "little brother"?"

"Charlie told me everything, I'm your older sister, and  mother does not know yet."

"Hey why don't you and Bella go and talk to the elders and tell them what I found out."

"Okay, Sam can we use your house, mom is home today?"

"Yeah, and if I'm not back by the time you want to go tell Nelly, go ahead and go just let Emily know, I won't have the alpha link on."

"Okay, and we will, thanks Sammy," Bella said, wow she called him Sammy. I can't help but to laugh.

"Okay, Bella you can call me that just not anyone else, and I mean Paul."

"Okay, okay, I won't but wow Bella you are brave."

"Yeah, I guess I am, Edward never liked me to be brave. I had to be weak for him."

Oh I'm angry and I can see Sam trying to not phase, but I can't help it. I feel the burn start, it doesn't hurt after the first couple times it's just hot.

"I'm sorry Bella," that's all I can say. 

Jared:

What's going on?

Paul:

Edward was controlling of my sister

Sam:

Phase back now Paul, wait go behind a tree to do it, so Bella don't see anything

Paul:

Yes alpha

So I ran behind a tree.

Bella Lahote's POV:

I don't think I should have said that, ouch why is there blood on me? I hear Sam running inside and Emily trying to talk but I can't tell what she is saying . 

Then I hear Sam in my head

Sam:

I'm sorry Bella, I didn't know Paul is unphasing and changing into clothes now. Emily is calling Sue, Paul's claw should now have hurt you.

Bella:

I can't make out what Emily was saying. 

Sam:

She was telling you to follow her and to calm down. Also that Paul did mean it.

Bella:

I know he didn't, i'm sorry I said that about Edward

Sam:

It needed to come out.

Bella:

Can you be with Paul when he finds out?

Sam:

Yeah i'm heading there now, I just told Jared to go and get the elders, Billy is with Ateara Sr and Harry, Sue was at work.

When I feel someone touching my arm, I look to see Emily.

"Can you hear me now Bella?"

"Yeah, did Paul's claws hit my ear?"

"No blood got into, Sue told me to clean your ears out. You didn't feel me cleaning them out?"

"No."

"Why am I still bleeding? I thought I couldn't get hurt?"

"We don't know Bella," Sam said.

"Wait Sam, where is Paul?"

"He's outside and he's crying. I have never seen him cry."

"PAUL, I WANT YOU." I hope that works, oh it did.

"Oh Bella i'm so sorry, I just got angry and I wasn't thinking, I was saying sorry before because I was shifting and didn't want to scare you."

"It's okay Paul."

"Bella, I'm here, let's look at you, okay honey." Sue is here now.

"Okay Sue, if anyone can figure out why Paul claw's actually hurt me, it's you."

"Okay i'm going to start off by stitching you, so i'm going to have to give you a sedative, it will help both of us out."

"Okay Sue, do what you have to do."

So she did and gave me a shot and now I'm falling asleep with Paul holding my hand.

Paul Lahote's POV:

I really hope she is okay, I just found out that I have a sister and then I go and hurt her. How did she actually get hurt? She's a wolf shapeshifter. The elders would know.

"Sue, is she going to be okay?"

Before she can answer Jared comes through the door with Billy, Quil Sr, and Harry Clearwater.

"Sam what happened," said Billy.

"Well Bella said that Edward was controlling and I got angry and so did Paul, and you know how he has anger issues, I was distracted and didn't see in time that Paul had shifted and scratched Bella, it only hit the top part of her head, her hair could cover it if she wanted it to be covered."

"Sam's right Billy, Bella will be okay, I think broke skin because another wolf did it. She will be okay and she can still phase."

"Okay, Sue when you get done we will go and talk about this and get Bella into the school at La Push high."

"Actually, you don't need to, Bella is my sister, Nelly and Terrance Lahote are her parents."

"Wow, I was not really expecting that, but I would recommend for you Paul to go and get her she deserves to know."

Bella might be mad that I told mom before she got to, but Sue is right she needs to be here.

"I will go but."

Sam:

You have permission to tell her that you are a wolf and your sister is too

Paul:

So at that I go out and undress and tie my clothes to my leg and phase.

Nelly Lahote's POV:

I'm sitting here and crying, holding a photo of Bella. She was such a tiny baby, she didn't look Quileute, but the thing that most people don't know is that my grandmother on my father's side is not Quileute, she was white. 

I guess Bella just has her genes.

"Mom, something happened to Bella, I didn't mean to."

I quickly look up and see Paul standing there; it looks like he had been crying. Wait, how does he know about Bella, no he said something happened.

"Son, what happened?"

"Do you know the tribe's histories about us descending from wolves?"

Why is he asking this?

"Yeah, I remember why are you asking and what does this have to do with Bella?"

"Well i'm a wolf, and so is Bella, that is how I know and how she knows too."

"Okay, continue."

"So Bella had just said little brother and had called Sam Sammy and I told Bella that she is brave and then she said that Edward never wanted her to be brave and me and Sam got angry. I'm the only one that phased, and when I did I scratched Bella, she's okay but I think she would love to have you there when she awakens."

Oh my baby

"It's not your fault son, and yes let me grab my car keys and then we will go."

Bella Lahote's POV:

I open my eyes and I see Paul and who I believe is my mother.  I also look around and see that I'm no longer on the couch.

"Paul, is that mom?"

That is when the woman comes closer and grabs my hand.

"Yes, Bella, it's me, your mother."

"Hey, mom."

"Hey, how are you feeling?"

"Okay, I guess."

Sam:

When you have rested, we have to get you a haircut and the pack tattoo. Then get you into school.

Bella:

Okay, can I have all my classes with Paul, I know I'm a year older but I'm pretty sure they don't teach the same things that Forks high does?

Sam:

That's a good idea. I also have to order you not to tell anyone that you are a wolf.

Bella:

Yes alpha I won't tell anyone.

Sam:

I already ordered Paul again about not saying anything, just letting you know Nelly knows about you and Paul being a wolf.

Bella:

Thanks for the heads up

Sam:

You are welcome, and I will talk to Nelly later about you being in Paul's class.

Bella:

Thank you Sammy, also who's bedroom am I in?

Sam:

One of my guess rooms

Bella:

Oh okay Sammy

I look over to mom.

"Sorry, mom Sam needed to tell me something."

"That's okay."

"What is my full name?"

"Isabella Rose Lahote."

"That's pretty, I would like to go by Bella-Rose."

"That sounds good, big sister."

So for the next couple of hours we talk and talk. Just a happy family of three.

Nelly Lahote's POV:

I'm so glad that Bella is home, my bad Bella-Rose. Her and Paul are so close even though they only know each other for like two weeks.

It took one week for her to settle in and get everything from Charlie's house. He told me he told them but I don't care anymore. I got her into La Push High last week, but Sam talked to the elders to get them to let Paul and Bella-Rose have some family time with me.

In that time me and Paul taught Bella-Rose how to surf, and other family things. Also told her she could make up her mind and not have to listen to the rules Edward had for her.

I was so pissed when Bella-Rose told us the rules that Edward had for her. The rules were that she had to listen to him, be weak, have friends he can approve of, and to always be where he can see her. Paul almost phased when he found out, Bella-Rose told me first.

Then Bella-Rose told Sam so he can be here with me and Bella-Rose when we tell Paul. Sam had to order him to stay calm.

After Paul found out Bella-Rose and Paul told Jared and Emily, while Sam told the elders. The elders told some other people what happened like Bella-Rose's teachers, well Paul's too.

I look at the time 5:43 pm, Bella-Rose and Paul had to go to Billy's to get something for school they should be back at 6pm.

So until then I'm going to read until they get home.

Paul Lahote's POV:

We just had dinner and mom wants to talk to me and Bella-Rose about us starting school tomorrow.

"Alright Bella-Rose and Paul, since I have to get up early tomorrow morning, my shift starts at 7am, so Bella-Rose will drive you to school. Then after school Bella-Rose will drive to Sam's and you will hang out and do pack duties and then if you don't have patrol Bella-Rose will drive you and her home around 8pm, and you will have dinner there. Oh sorry I can hear your stomachs growling from here, I made plenty of snacks for this."

"That sounds good mom, can me and Bell have the snacks now please." I say with a big smile, I can see Bell smiling from the corner of my eye.

"Yes kids, go ahead and get ready for bed and I will bring them up."

"Okay."

Bella-Rose Lahote's POV:

I still can believe I get to wake up and go downstairs and see Paul and my mom, my family.

I'm sitting in my first period class that I share with Bella. I'm worried, Bella said we would go shopping like two weeks ago, and she never showed up to go shopping or at school since.

I would say she went with the Cullen's but I haven't seen them since Bella's 17 birthday, and yes I knew it was her birthday.

I talked to Angela, but hadn't heard from her either, and neither Eric, Mike, or Tyler have. I have been trying to call her. we all have.

That is when the school's speaker comes on and we all hear the principal's voice.

As just as it came on it went off and I see Eric looking at me and I mouth that I didn't know.

Me and Paul just got to school and he showed me to the office to get my schedule.

"Hey, they listen, I have the same classes as you Paul."

Jacob Black's POV:

My dad had said something a couple weeks ago that Bella had a family issue and to let her come to me. I'm worried, we are close and she still hasn't even come to me.

I think that the Cullen's leaving had something to do with it. If they have done something to her I will kill them especially Edward fucking Cullen that weirdo.

But I need to stop thinking about Bella since I'm sitting in my first period class, which is math. I hate math with a passion. Like I'm thinking why math is so hard. I will probably never use it other than basic math.

I work with cars, remaking engines for them and other stuff. I look around and I don't see Embry or Quil where are they.

I just look back down to see if I have everything when I feel someone sitting beside me, must be Embry. He normally gets here before Quil.

As soon as I look up to say hey Embry Bella says "hey Jake" wait what. She's not Quileute. How is she here???????????

"Bella?"

"Yeah, but I go by Bella-Rose, but you can make up a nickname if you want to, Paul calls me Bell."

Wait she hangs with Paul, she is part of Sam's clique, great she is probably going to betray me.

That is when I hear a growl, wait a growl. So I look and I see Paul Lahote. Great he's here, I bet they want me to join, and the answer will be no, I can't believe Bella no Bella-Rose joined. I will help her out.

Is all I say, because I don't know what to say, and plus I don't want to say something that I don't mean and make Bella-Rose not want to talk to me.

That is when I see Quil come in and sit on the desk beside mine and give me a weird look.

Quil don't get to say anything because the teacher stands up, and clears his throat. When that happens we know the class is starting.

I didn't hear anything else, I stopped listening around Lahote, she is Paul's older sister. I didn't even know he had a sister. I thought Charlie was Bella's father. What is happening?

Bella-Rose Lahote's POV:

I can't believe Jacob would do this, he won't answer my calls. It has been 2 MONTHS. He needs to grow up. Paul hates him now since he won't give me the chance. Embry said it was because of how Sam and his clique (pack) act.

Turns out Billy didn't want Embry to hang with Jacob until Jacob phases. He had Sam order him. Sammy has never ordered me, I think it is because me and Jacob have known each other for longer than him and Embry. Or it might be because he's my best friend, and thinks I could imprint on him.

If I was going to imprint on him I would have already. I hate to say it, but Jake and I will be better friends than as a couple. Nelly agrees with me on that.

But other than that, school has been good, as well as pack duties. I even got to hang out with Jessica and Angela. That is when I hear Sammy's voice.

Sam:

There's a cold one out here, not a Cullen though.

Jacob Black's POV:

So I'm sitting here in my room thinking about how wrong everything has gotten. First Bella finds out she's adopted and clearly didn't want to tell me. Then she goes and hangs out with Sam and his followers. Then Embry doesn't show up to school and then I see him with Sam.

I'm just so mad, why am I burning it hurts.

Here we are running in the woods trying to chase down the cold one.

Edward Cullen's POV:

It is the year of 1918, and I just watched my mother die and the doctor saying there is only one way to cure me and it will be painful and he keeps apologizing to me. I wonder why? Ouch.

3 days later

I'm cured but not in the way I thought I would. My doctor Carlisle said his first name was and his last which will be mine now is Cullen. He told me that he turned me into a vampire, I would be lying to myself if I didn't freak out a lot.

1 week later

I'm running. I just got my things from home and now I'm leaving. I can't stay not after what he did to me.

"Edward, wait please."

I turn around and see my doctor, this is going to be great.

"Why should I?"

"Because I need to help you control yourself, help you figure out what you are now."

"I wouldn't be like this if you didn't bite me. Put aside that I was bitten, why should I trust you? You did this to me."

"Your mother begged me to keep you alive, and I promise I would."

"Leave my mother out of your mouth, and I bet she probably meant keeping me alive, not a dead guy walking around."

"I don't know what she meant I just did what I thought was right to keep that promise to your mother."

"What a promise she made thinking that you could cure me without killing me. She would never have agreed if she knew what you were going to do."

"You are correct she might not have but that is in the past and I don't like breaking promises."

"So you agree that what you did was wrong."

"I should have never bitten you without telling you what I was going to do at first. I agree that I don't know if turning you is what your mother would have wanted you but I still did what she asked of me."

"Okay what exactly did she ask of you?"

"To save you no matter what."

I can tell I have no choice so I guess I need to get him on my side.

"Fine, I will go with you. Where are we going?"

"See it wasn't that hard to understand what I was trying to tell you, and we are going to Columbus Ohio for a little while."

2 years later

I broke off from Carlisle a year and a half ago, a couple of months after getting to Ohio. I had an accident and tasted human blood and have been on a rampage ever since. I told Carlisle I needed time on my own after his way clearly didn't work for me. I hate him because he ruined my life.

I am now in a town in Tuscany Italy called Volterra. I love hunting here in such a lively town and a lot of tourists. But recently I have felt someone watching me and everytime I go to look for someone I can't find them.

That is when I spot a blonde girl walking, can't wait until I taste her. I smile to myself. I just turned down the alley where she went into when I saw her stop and turn around and open her mouth.

"Pain."

And now I am in pain, it hurts so bad more than turning into this monster that I am. That is when I hear another set of footsteps.

"Jane, Caius says to stop and for us to bring him to him at once."

"Okay Felix you and Demetri pick him up."

That is when I'm released from the pain and picked up and carried off. Then I'm thrown down onto a hard ground and I look up to see three thrones, Great the Volturi I should have known. Then a blonde headed vampire walks in and must be Caius.

"Thank you Felix, Demetri and Jane. You can go too."

After I watch them leave I get up and look at Caius in the face, and he smiles.

"Edward Cullen, I would like you to join me."

"Yes, I would love to, so I don't have to ever go back to Carlisle."

I see him look surprised.

"You aren't the person who turned you? I thought you would love him since he made you so much better than a human."

"He turned me into a monster because of a promise he gave my mother and a promise she would have never asked him of if she knew what it intelled. So no, I don't love or like him. Tell me what I have to do."

"Good, you will train here for a year then go back to Carlisle and spy for me."

"Okay, only if I can come back here every now and then so I don't go crazy."

"You can now let's get you started."

I smile as I walk behind him.

1980

It has been 60 years since I joined the Volturi and I love every minute of it. A lot as happened when I came back to Carlisle he told me he was happy to see me and that he loves me. Then two months after I get back he turns Esme his mate. I told Caius he said that wasn't enough not even with the turning of Rosalie and Emmett.

I just wish I could get him to actually do something that I can actually use against him. Then I got the perfect idea to find my mate and hope it's a human. He will break the laws if he gives me permission to tell a human.

But for right now I have a meeting with Caius to get to. I wonder why I want to meet at a nightclub in New York.

"Hello Edward, thanks for meeting me here."

"You're welcome but why are you here?"

"Oh I'm here to try and search for someone that Aro wants. Demetri is with me; he's a tracker. Any news?"

"No, all I know is that we are about to move to Alaska for the next year or so to see our cousins the Denali clan."

"Oh then Jane killed a member of the Denali's a long time ago. Why go now?"

"No clue Carlisle said something that he wanted to see them since the last time was in the 40s right before the US joined in on fighting in WW2."

"So no plan to do something illegal."

"No, it's like he knows there is a spy. Are you sure he is going against you?"

"Yeah he seems to want to be a king."

"Carlisle a king I don't think so. I will tell you if he does something illegal."

"Why leave now I just got here?"

"Because Carlisle would want to know where I am, and since Alice joined he would just ask her where I am and he does not need to know where I am."

January 18th 2004

This year has been so boring I hate school. Why did Carlisle make us go to school? Also on top of that I heard that there is a new student.

I walk into the cafeteria after the rest of my stupid siblings and see the new girl. She is staring at me oh I can make her think she is a mate since I found my mate a couple of years ago. A vampire named Julia. Julia knows what I'm trying to do so she won't be mad at me for making this girl think that she is my mate.

March 8th 2004

It worked. We are together now. I called Julie and told her what I was doing and she was okay with it. Can't wait for this to all blow up in Carlisle's face. But the problem is that I told Bella that I was a vampire not Carlisle telling me that I can. I hope Caius doesn't find out about my little slip up.

March 15th 2004

Of course these vampires had to come and ruin it and now I have to pretend to love her so that they believe that she is my mate. At least we killed James and Carlisle, talked to Laurent and Laurent chose our side and went up to Alaska to our cousin's. But that red headed name Victoria had to escape. I will find her.

September 13th 2004

I had to spend a whole summer with Bella and couldn't see my mate since I have to keep up appearances. Today is her birthday party. Ring Ring Ring, I look down and see its Caius so I go to my car telling Carlisle i'm getting Bella and drive away and answer the phone.

"How is it going Edward?"

"Slowly."

"I have an idea."

"Let's hear it."

After I pick up Bella and take her to school, of course Jacob Black has to be here. At least after tonight I don't have to deal with Bella for a little bit. Caius' idea is to make her bleed and have Jasper almost attack her and then me and the Cullen's leave.

Then when we come back Bella will be happy to see me and also easier to control and maybe get Carlisle to let her tell her family about them. Since hopefully after a couple of years without me her mental health will be very low.

Finally I just dropped her off at home. She made it easier to get her to bleed a lot. Since she got a paper cut perfect for me to throw her and make another place bleed and more. Thanks Bella.

Now time to convince the Cullen's to leave. So I walk in and go to the living room where everyone is now.

"We need to leave," I say. They all look at me in shock.

"Why?" Alice asked if she looked surprised.

"Because we are dangerous to her, look at what happened tonight," I said again.

That is when Carlisle spoke up, "I agree we need to leave for while we got closer than we needed to be and not blaming Jasper he almost killed Bella. I love Bell, she's another kid and like a sibling to most of you. That is why I know we need to leave to keep Bella safe. We leave in a week."

"Carlisle when we leave I will need some time to myself and Alice can't watch my thoughts. I need to close off because this will hurt me too."

"Okay son, and Alice won't," Carlisle said.

"I won't Edward," Alice said.

Now to keep up the act. I just nod and walk away. Can't believe that just worked.

September 23 2004

I can't believe that was easier than it was and how she threatened me was the funniest thing ever, time to make a call.

"Are you on your way?"

"Yeah just told Bella the Cullen's and me that it was pretty easy and she even threatened to kill me.

I hear him laugh.

"Good job Edward see you soon," and Caius hung up.

Brenden Mathews's POV:

My brother Rodge and I are half Mishigamaa or as we call Mish. That is why Rodge shifted and I didn't. We both are not really full blooded Mish. The alpha Lettie was shocked too. The only reason I know is because I was there when he shifted he got mad at dad again.

The reason Rodge was mad was because he decided that he wanted to leave for good this time and go live with his new family out in Montana. Our mom died when I was ten and when Rodge was eight. 

There also is Conner he is the beta. He's really cool. I love him. He's my best friend. I never had one before. Sure I had friends but not a best friend who I could go to for anything or even tell anything too. Also I don't have to hide about what my brother is or does.

There are five other members I don't talk to. To be honest I don't even remember their names. The only reason is because I have only met them once. Ring ring ring, I look down and see that it's Conner.

Lettie Pitman's POV:

I just got done talking to Rodge. He gave me some upsetting news. He's saying that there are a lot of cold ones. I sent Conner to go and call Brenden and I sent a alpha order through my link and we are going to attack and save our town. Finally they are all here now.

"Alright guys I just got word from Rodge he has told me that there are a lot of cold ones down in an abandoned building off Yellow street. We are going to attack and Brenden will raise your hand, thank you. So back to it Brenden you are going to stay here I need someone to keep the fort down."

"Um ma'am what do you mean hold the fort down?"

"I don't want to leave here with no one here to watch the place just in case someone needs help or one of the kids needs a place to be."

"Okay ma'am I will."

"Okay now lets go."

So now we are all leaving.

20 minutes later

I watch my pack spread out when Conner comes running.

"What is it Conner?"

"There's a kid, she's being stalked."

"Alright lets go."

Pack stays here and attacks me and Conner is going to save the kid that is being stalked.

We just saved the kid Conner is taking her back to Brenden and staying there. She's so scared and hasn't even told us her name. It was a close call, the cold one almost got her. She saw the teeth and not counting seeing me phase and kill the cold one.

That is when I hear whining and Rodge running to me in his wolf form blood all over him

Rodge:

Lettie they are all dead there was more, that I didn't see they told me to run to tell you. That was after three of them already died

Lettie:

Okay we need to go and get the bodies go and rent a pick up truck I will get you money back later

Rodge:

No no no no I just lost five members and I don't even know what to tell the families we are going to need to get help. I know there is a pack nearby.

45 minutes later

"Hey what took you so long Rodge?"

"I broke down, I feel like it's my fault."

"Hey, it's not your fault, okay, I should have waited."

"But I gave you what I saw, I just didn't see all of them."

Brenden Mathews's POV:

Conner just got here with this kid and asked me to talk to her while he went on patrol.

"What about the woman that turned into the wolf or the guy that tried to attack me from behind."

"The woman is my alpha, she's a wolf she saved from the guy who was a cold one or a vampire but we don't call them vampires." Conner said from where he was standing in the doorway with tears going down his face.

At that moment Rodge comes in and meets Bree's eyes. I think he imprinted it, Rodge had told me about it when he found out. Not to mention some of the other wolves have imprints.

"Bree, why don't you go find something to eat with Rodge? He will need to talk to you."

She nods and heads out of the room. That is when Conner runs to me and just hugs me.

"Hey man, what's wrong?"

"Five of us just got killed. Lettie is covering the bodies and talking to elders I just came in to tell you. I have to contact a pack out in La Push. Lettie told me she had called one of the elders on the way here to get the contact info for the pack. She told him she would call him back when she could and tell him why."

"Oh my name is Rodge , okay too. I know he heals but what about mental health and what about you?"

"I'm fine and will be fine Rodge should be too."

Conner Coombs's POV:

I don't know how to call for help but I'm going to have to figure it out now. So now I look down and type in the number and hit call and walk out the door for privacy.

Bella-Rose Lahote's POV:

It has been a good year, Quil, a friend of Jacob's and Embry's, shifted for the first time. Also Leah and Seth Clearwater shifted, Leah first she got mad and shifted in front of her father Harry. Then Seth gets angry at Leah for doing that to their father. They are okay now.

Sam and Emily got married, I know they didn't need a wedding but they wanted one and to make it legal if they wanted to go on vacation.

Jared imprinted on a girl named Kim, she's really nice and just a good fit for Jared. You can tell he loves her. Paul imprinted on Rachel, one of Jacob's older sisters. Rachel had come to see Leah with her sister and Paul had imprinted on her right as soon as she came in the door of the Clearwater house.

Me, Paul and mom had gone over to see the Clearwater's before Harry Clearwater had died. So since Jacob had shifted and Rachel was an imprint and he was an elder they had decided to tell Rebecca Rachel's twin sister and Jacob's other older sister about the pack.

I have not printed yet so I'm hoping I will soon. I really want a family now. I'm soooooo glad Edward left me now.

Embry hasn't been imprinted yet either. Jacob did an imprint on my friend Jessica so she now knows everything. Quill imprinted on this girl from our school named Bethany, they are happy too. They plan on having a wedding in a year or two.

Leah hasn't imprinted yet, neither has Seth. Seth is upset that he hasn't. Seth is a wild child; he is also the youngest to shift. He is now only 15 years old. 

So it's my turn to talk about myself. I am a senior now, and it's fun. We get to go to school more now since there are nine pack members and three members are out of high school too. I have been on family vacations a lot. I even joined a surfing contest in Forks and got second place. Paul did it too and got fifth I so rubbed it in his face. 

Right now I am trying to write an essay for history class and I can't think of how to do it since it is about the land's history. I'm going to have to talk to Sammy or Billy. That is when I get notification that I got a new email.

Hey Bella, it's Jasper. I know it's been over a year but I know you are a wolf and I'm pretty sure that Edward caused it. I hate his guts. Me and Emmett, even Rosalie misses you; they hate Edward too. We don't talk to Edward much; he left us when we left Forks. Alice can't find him.

Why I sent you this is because I'm paying a visit back and want to talk to you and your alpha or even the whole pack. Something is going down in Seattle and I heard that another pack got attacked and over half of them died. They were killed by newborns, which are new vampires. They are only newborns for the first year after they are turned. I want to help train you guys. Also educate you guys about them.

I will be there in two days. After I talked and hopefully trained and educated you guys. Emmett and Rosalie might come out and help fight them. I hope you can trust me or even trust Emmett. 

I also want you to know I never wanted to hurt you, I just could feel Edward's blood lust and it drove me crazy not to mention all the other's blood lust too.

What the heck, I got to call a meeting. I'm so glad I can send mental notes now and read minds.

Sammy I need a meeting with both pack members and elders. 

Sam:

I was also just about to call one, but come on and head to mine and Emily's house

Jasper Whitlock's POV:

I should have tried harder to get Edward not to go after Bella. I knew it was a bad idea to bring in a human, but with the feelings Edward was giving off when we had voted against it to begin with had me sad all the time. Even Alice couldn't get me to be happy. That is when I talked to the family and got them to say yes.

Edward is not even her mate, and she is not his mate. Edward to me was just into her because she was his singer. On her 17th birthday party is what has me the most pissed. Alice had convinced me to get Bella happy and get her to come to the party. It is hard to say no to her. I wish that I had. I can't even trust her now. She said she was on Edward's side.

The only ones I know for sure that are on Bella's side, are Emmett and Rosalie. I know it's weird that Rosalie is on Bella's side. Emmett came to me and asked what happened the night of the party. I told him the truth, I had felt everyone's blood lust, but Edward's was the one that was making me insane. That I never wanted to hurt Bella, I just couldn't help it. I also told Emmett that I want to leave the family, that I don't want to do it to Carlisle and Esme, that I will still be in contact with them. I also told him that I don't think that I can be with Alice much longer.

He understood, and asked if he could tell Rosalie and I said yeah. That is when Rosalie had said that she wanted to talk to me. So that is what caused us to meet up in Oregon. That's why it was far away from my listening ears. She had said that she thought it was weird why Edward had thrown her back, instead of taking her and running off. Taking her to safety. Edward can be really stupid.

So that leaves us now, me Emmett and Rosalie all living together in a house near my friends Peter and Charlotte. Rosalie disappears every now and then to search for us a type of thing to let us eat and drink and not sparkle. She hasn't found one yet, I hope she does soon. That way we can actually pretend to be human. 

Peter is the reason why I emailed Bella. He had heard from another vampire that there was stuff happening in Seattle and we took a trip there and found out that it was newborns so I emailed Bella to let her know. I also know she is a shapeshifter wolf, I know that Edward had to have something to do with it. I know they have to get angry to phase. I still have a friend in Alaska that goes to Forks every month to let me know if she is happy with her life. They always tell me she is fine and happy. 

That she has a family, a brother that she didn't know about and a mother that she also didn't know. I got to say that I was shocked when I found out she phased. I don't know when she did.

I am packing now, Emmett said he would go with me but stay back. Rosalie said she had another lead and will come when she can. Peter and Charlotte are going to stay here and that they will come when it's safe, which means after I talk to the wolves and elders to make sure it is okay for us to help. Alice doesn't know anything, and I hope she doesn't find out. 

"Hey man, are you ready to go?"

"Yeah I am."

So at that we leave.

Sam Uley's POV:

"So guys, I got a call from another pack that is close to Seattle, they need help." I said.

"What happened, we never have had a call like this?" Billy Black said.

"Well I have no idea what happened. Jasper contacted me." Rosey said.

"What do you mean Bell? Do I have to kill him?"I hear Paul speak up.

"No Paul you don't, he said that he knew that I was a shapeshifter wolf, that he thinks that it was Edward's fault. That he, Rosalie and Emmett hate Edward's guts, also that they don't talk to Edward much and that Edward left the family and even Alice can't find him, I'm guessing he means that she can't find him with her powers. He said that he was emailing me because he is paying us a visit and wanting to talk to Sam or the whole pack. He said something was going down in Seattle. He heard that another pack got attacked and that over half of them are dead. That they were killed by newborns, they are newly turned vampires, they are stronger than other vampires and like that until a year after they are turned. That he wants to train and educate us about newborns. "Well I think we need to hear him out. The call I got was from the other packs Beta. What Jasper said was true they were attacked and that five pack members died. They thought they could kill the cold ones. The alpha and Beta were not there for the attack; they were saving a teenage girl. The newest pack member was with the others that died." I said.

Sam: I want to know who wants to come with me to the meeting with Jasper. I know that it will be me, Jared since he is my beta and Rosey will be there too. I just need one more volunteer. 

Paul & Jacob at the same time: I will do it

Sam: I choose Jacob, Paul you are her little brother she would just worry about you and we all need a clear head. 

Paul: I understand, but I don't like it

"So I just had a conversation about who will go to the meeting. It will be me, Jared, Rosey and Jacob." I said.

"Good choice Sam. Bella sends Jasper a reply telling him he has permission to come to this land. To meet the pack on the top cliff of La Push Beach you know the one you cliff jump from," said Billy Black.

"Okay Billy I will."

And when the meeting is over and I see Rosey walk off to get her computer, I guess she is emailing Jasper back.

Bella-Rose's POV:

Time to email Jasper back. Is it wrong for me to miss Jasper? We never really talked but I just feel this feeling of family when I'm around him, I felt it with Emmett. I don't know if I felt it with Rosalie, it could be because she was always mean to me.
