The light coming in from the window started hitting Emmet's side. It wasn't much but just enough to show a slight glow around him.
So this was the reflective light Bella and Jacob had described about the vampire's skin.
Bella had described it as enchantingly beautiful. Although that might've just been exaggerated since she was talking about Edward. Jacob on the other hand had described it as horrendous and uncanny. Yet when he’d hung out around the vampire he'd joked and teased Edward about it looking like a unicorn had thrown up on him.
Embry always thought Jacob and Bella were exaggerating with their descriptions. And in all honesty he had always expected to take Jacobs' side if he ever got to see a vampire's skin in sunlight.
But in the moment all Embry could do was stare at Emmet in a curious awe.
He was beautiful.
Embry would never admit it out loud especially not to his pack but the radiance of Emmet's skin was enchanting.
Bella had been right after all.
