“We need you to infiltrate the League of Villains,” they’d told her.
“Okay,” she’d said. “Why are you asking me and not someone more… suitable?”
“We had another option,” the woman had told her. “However, we’re concerned the League of Villains will not believe he wants to join them. You, on the other hand, are extremely independent and… outspoken. It’s not so hard to believe that you may tire of hero society and its rules.”
“You’re obnoxious and difficult to control,” is what she’d really meant. It’s what they all did.
“So. You want me to do it instead of your golden boy Hawks. Because I’m ‘outspoken,’” Rumi had said. “Okay. Fine. I’ll do it. And I’ll do a damn good job, too.”

It's actually such a shame that these two don't have more interactions in canon, their lit the embodiment of "talk shit about everyone bestie/ect."
So while I don't have many fics with these two bookmarked, I actually do really fuck with this ship/friendship and it's always a treat to find them
It became even more yummy with the "trans Dabi" part. One of my favorite headcanons(who are we kidding, it's one of my Roman Empires)
