   Summary

   Marielle Vang was a prodigy. Completing law school and passing the bar exam at just eighteen, she was headed for high places. Early on she had developed a distaste for the Mercenary Syndicate and their practices, yet nothing compared to the day they rattled her inner world. All the time she had funded into practicing law was starting to feel pointless by the day; the curtains just seemed to peel back farther on the merciless atrocities she sought to expose. Believing her work had become purposeless, Marielle abandoned the law with newfound plans, answering to no one but her convictions.
