Quiet time spent together
Written for week 4 of Pool Noodle GOetry Monday.
I pulled out a whole bunch of the words I had left in my pool and then this happened. Originally I didn't mean to make it into an illustration of sorts, but then I needed some quiet time and this just happened.

Floating flowers
Lilting laugh
Serene music and resonant murmur
fill the night.
Vast memory twines like ivy
around us.
The blissful revery melts, unravels.
Vestigial evanescent dream
leaves lashes touched with salt.
I whisper: "Rest with ease, sweet nemesis."
