Work Text:
I crave a lasting change
Yet embracing newness feels so strange
I lose count of the days
Where I say I’ll never slip into my old ways
None of my promises to myself are true
Not when old habits cling to my mind like glue
My hope lies in little, consistent efforts, and giving myself lots of grace
While living at my own pace, instead of treating growth like a race
I’ll get to the ideal me eventually, that much I know
So all that is left for me to do, is be patient while I grow.
