Summary
Eunseok and Sungchan have been next-door neighbors, best friends, and each other’s constants for as long as they can remember — from shared lunches in kindergarten to sleepovers in high school, and late-night balcony chats in adulthood.
Now 35, they're in different stages of the same kind of heartbreak. Sungchan, just months out from a canceled wedding, is trying to hold himself together through gym routines and denial. Eunseok, once known for flings and fast breakups, hasn’t dated in two years — emotionally burnt out, emotionally... stuck.
As everyone around them moves forward — marriages, kids, carefully curated happiness — the two of them remain orbiting each other in a quiet rhythm. Until one night, Sungchan proposes something half-joking, half-serious
“Maybe if nothing else works… we marry each other and just give up on everyone else.”
