Turning back to their single audience again, Li Shen's eyes unmistakably glimmer—and it goes unmissed by their witness, mindlessly enjoying the view as much. “What do you think?”
“Don’t give in to her.”
Li Shen raises a brow, interest piqued. “Oh?”
“Make her work for it. Let her beg for what she wants.”
Now it's Xia Yizhou’s turn to look at her, pained. Like a kicked puppy in the rain. “You really do like making me suffer, don't you?”
“Not exactly…” The girl pauses, eyes sparkling in mischief. “Well, maybe just a little.”
Xia Yizhou has to leave for Skyhaven soon, so she spends her last day in Linkon with her baby pipsqueak, thinking she’d won't come face to face with the little things reminding her of the past for some time.
