Summary
The last thing he remembered was falling asleep in the study. HS Group’s latest acquisition was complex, and the reports needed thorough review. Yet, in his hands weren't company documents… but Gao Tu’s latest medical report. The black folder had been hidden in the top right drawer for months. He refused to get rid of it. This was the best way to remember what an idiot he’d been. For months, he’d suffered the pain of loss; but there was nothing more agonizing than knowing Gao Tu didn't want to be found.

Gao Tu had never smiled the way he smiled at Wenlang.
Lele had never noticed because he was so young. And now, seeing his parents' story in photographs, he understood. Gao Lele existed because Gao Tu loved Shen Wenlang. So it was only logical that Shen Lele existed because Shen Wenlang loved Gao Tu.
He had never imagined Shen Wenlang would be a father, until the alpha himself had confessed that this future included the beta he was in love with. The beta, Gao Tu, couldn't have children, and for the alpha, that was reason enough not to wish for an impossible future without him.
The omega's reflection in the steaming teacup took him by surprise. The hope shining in his eyes was new. That foolish alpha had been willing to ask the beta, Gao Tu, to leave his imaginary omega mate because he wanted to take care of him and his child.
