   Summary

   "Sorry for da holdup," the stranger said, lifting their head. They stepped closer, and you straightened instinctively. Your grip tightened around your phone. Something about them set your nerves twitching. Not danger exactly, but your gut didn’t trust whatever vibe they were putting out.

   "It’s okay. I've waited longer," you replied carefully. That earned a low chuckle.

   "So, ah... You're da owner of dis eshtablishment, correct?" You blinked at the phrasing. The accent. The suit. The weirdly friendly language. You didn’t think they were recording a bit, but you half-expected a boom mic to drop from the ceiling.

   "Well, yeah. And every other store with the same name, sure. I’m proud of where I am right now." You gave a small smile. Barely noticeable- but genuine.
   "Das great! Um, here- our boss wanted to meet’cha in perzon." They pulled a card from their pocket and placed it delicately on the counter while they fumbled to re-glove their hand.
