Work Text:
Seraï sat beside Valere watching the fire as everyone slept.
"I'm sorry... sorry that I lied. I just thought you wouldn't help me... and that you would think I was a monster..." seraï mumbled.
Valeres eyes widen and she side hugs Seraï. "I would never think you where a monster. Monsters are people who have done something wrong." She grabbed Seraïs hands. "And you have done nothing wrong."
Seraï pulls her hands away looking up at the clouded sky. "This place must be strange for you all..." Seraï attempted to change the topic.
"Yeah... it's all moving so quickly, its strange knowing that there is another world." She sighs. "Though I'm glad we are able to be here. I'm excited to see your village."
"Its... not great. It's small and lumped together, a spot where survivors could hide, even if the people there have given up..." Seraï pulls her knees up to her metal jaw.
"We'll get the sun and moon back together. Then they'll regain some of their will, I promise." Valeres words soothed how much Seraïs heart hurt coming back.
"Do you think... someone like me... might be able to have a partner..." she mumbled, voicebox playing that question softly.
"Seraï... I have something to tell you." Valere looks up at seraï. "I love you, even now that I know what you look like. I love you with all of my heart."
Silence. Shocked from seraï and anticipation from Valere. Until tentivaly. "You... love me?" Seraï asked, a few parts of her face with skin blushed.
"I love you... and I would love to be your partner." Seraïs eyes fill with tears and she hugs Valere.
"And I would love to be yours..." she responds softly. Valere lifts Seraïs face to press a kiss to her forhead.
