Summary:

A year after Trunks' dire warning about the coming of the Androids, the remnants of an ancient warrior race descend upon the Earth... But for once they genuinely come in peace? Yet their king seems to be keeping some things a secret from them, particularly about why he's so familiar with Piccolo's father, Katatz...

WOAH I love your art, you do such an amazing job capturing Toriyama's style and quirks! (Goku's "You good?" reaction to Piccolo's silent conversation with Trunks is so cute sbhsjgd) Your SFX typography is sooo crispy too, I love that FWASH
ALSO I was immediately invested before even peeping the comic when I saw the sentence "Piccolo's father, Kataz.", and when I did start reading I was SO happy when I got to the lines "Even after I'm dead." and "Any true followers of my old empire [...]"... It's so, SO rare to find Piccolo fans who understand the nuances of his identity as the Demon King/Daimao reborn. Trying not to geek out and ramble here with my own interpretations when it comes to the nature of his identity, so I won't LOL, but Godddd thank you!! This is just so refreshing to see. Instant fan of this comic, I will be hopping over to tumblr to follow it there too <3

  Thank you so much for this lovely comment! I'm so glad you're liking it so far! I've always been a massive fan of Piccolo and he has such fun details in his history that are often mentioned once off-handedly and then just... never brought up again! Like this man has such good material to play with and it's so often slept on! It's also so nice to meet a fellow Piccolo Understander, and now I'm so giddy to get to specific chapters just to see how you like them lol I looove playing with Namekian lore and I hope you'll like how I'm going to be expanding it.
  I also did see the comments you left in the tags on tumblr and I am so happy you're enjoying my designs for the new characters! I'm always a little nervous to make OCs into major characters in my stories, but it seems so far that I'm worrying over nothing lol

Today is a pretty big day of firsts for Piccolo, and so far I don't think he's enjoyed any of them. The Son boys, on the other hand, are probably never going to forget this lolol

  Oh, Vegeta would probably suffocate to death on his laughter if he heard that one. Sadly, while I do have a few good moments planned for Vegeta, we won't really see him until the Androids and Cell Sagas start proper, by which time most of the characters involved will have mostly forgotten about this little quip.
  
  And thank you! I genuinely love the challenge of weaving all the threads from both canon sources and my own lore into one cohesive tapestry. While I'm admittedly annoyed whenever some canon bit directly contradicts some lore I come up with, the revised version I come up with to account for the canon story inevitably makes it ten times more interesting.

The lore is very interesting! I like how you integrated stuff from Daima into your history. I'd love to know what a sea troll looks like since Piccolo keeps being called one. Chi Chi saying "Let Mommy have this." was quite funny.

  Thank you! To answer your question (not really a question I know but imma answer anyway lol) a sea troll is just a very rude thing to call a Namekian specifically, based on their appearance and the fact that they're rarely seen very far from large bodies of water, at least in the Demon Realm. Daima revealed that Namekians weren't treated very kindly even in their original home, so I thought to flesh that out a bit here, especially since the Veinir tend to be very brash people. Luckily that won't come up too often going forward, as Hemedall is very eager to leave that sort of thing in the past.
