Summary
Bilbo and Thorin spend the winter in Erebor, both caught up in the demands of rebuilding the kingdom and managing their responsibilities, leaving little time to address or define their growing feelings for one another. As the harsh season passes, they look forward to spring with the hope of finally sharing peaceful moments together. However, when spring arrives, it brings unexpected challenges—most notably, a number of Dwarrowdams vying for Thorin’s attention. The unwanted advances create tension and discomfort for both Thorin and Bilbo, both find themselves frustrated by the intrusion.
