Chapter Text
7 minutes. 7 minutes before the end. Nobody expected a end of the Honorary Knight, but he did, he knew this day would come. But he didn't knew it would be that soon. So soon...
7 minutes before the light turns off, 7 minutes of regret, success and defeats. He doesn't regrets anything he did in his life, except for one thing, one thing he should've do, his only mission, be reunited with his sister. But maybe, it's in the end that you realize what you should've do, what you did wrong. But it's too late to regret, Aether should be grateful for what the nations and the Archons did for him.
He doesn't deserve all the happiness he had, he doesn't deserve freedom, not in those circumstances.
Aether has been injured during a fight 2 months ago, he knew about it, but did the others did ? Did he consider their feelings by hiding this ? No, of course he hasn't, he's so insensitive.
But this fight was one too many, why did he even though it was a good idea? After all, he still managed to success his mission, but at what cost?
After his fight, he sat down on the wet grass, his back against a rock, it was raining. Poor boy...Aether always hated rain, but passing his last minutes under it seemed oddly relaxing. He wishes someone was here to hold his hand, to tell him everything is going to be okay, that he'll live, but nobody is here, he doesn't deserve to be reassure, but right now, he still hope for that.
When he was starting to get tired, as he knew it was the end for him, the only thing he said was "Xiao...". Because he knew that out of all people, he would be the only one to come if he calls his name, the only one he can relay on even in the worse.
