Chapter 1: Week ???
Chapter Text
Dazai doesn’t know how long he’s been in this room. Time blurs together, and night and day pass by like nothing. He was going stir crazy being in the same room with no way out. The only people he has interaction with are Fyodor and Nikolai, and they barely ever enter the room where he’s staying.
Since he’s been kidnapped, his mind has been slipping away. It’s been harder to think logically and stay focused. Even his motor skills have been regressing. He’s had an embarrassingly hard time trying to eat the food that was given to him. And on multiple occasions has spilled half the food he was eating. It does not help that he can’t always remember what age he’s supposed to be, either.
The childish room he was staying in also didn’t help with the times he forgets his age. Those days, he spent curled up with his knees pressed up against his chest on the verge of crying while trying to stop himself from staring longingly at the toys.
Today was one of those days.
Since he woke up that morning, he had already fallen off. His clothes didn’t feel right, his mind felt disoriented, and it was becoming increasingly difficult to speak. Already deciding on his next course of action, he picks an empty corner and sits down, and doesn’t get back up. Why not shut everything out instead of letting it get the chance to get to him?
He stays like that for about an hour before it starts to weigh more heavily on him. Everything just felt like too much, and he couldn’t take it anymore.
It starts with a single tear, which leads to another. Next thing he knows, he’s full-on sobbing. He’s curled in on himself, trying to get every ounce of comfort he can get right now. Absent-mindedly, he slips his fingers into his mouth, feeling it take the edge off his feelings slightly. While he’s trying to calm himself down, he doesn’t hear the door open with his food.
“Oh, what do we have here?” a voice croons from above him. Dazai freezes; no one was supposed to see him like this. He doesn’t exactly remember why, but he knows that he’s supposed to keep this to himself.
Footsteps become louder as they near him. He stays curled up in the corner, not moving a muscle. “You know I can still see you even when you have your back turned to me,” the voice says while giving a breathless laugh. Dazai continues not to say anything. He’s scared, he doesn’t remember how old he is, and everything just feels wrong. He has no idea what’s going on with him right now, which makes him cry harder.
Dazai gets so wrapped up in crying again that he doesn’t notice that the person is now right next to him. Suddenly, a hand is placed under his chin and guides him to look up. The second he sees who it is, he trembles in fear.
It was Fyodor.
He didn’t want Fyodor anywhere near him. Fyodor doesn’t say anything but observes him quietly, which sends a shiver down his spine. Next thing he knows, he’s getting picked up and set on his lap. Dazai struggles to be put down, but to no avail. His motor skills and strength are nowhere near where they used to be.
“Now are you going to tell me why you're crying, or am I going to have to figure it out myself?” Fyodor asks. Looking Dazai directly in the face. Dazai only ignores him to keep struggling. He has one hand pushing Fyodor away and the other still firmly planted in his mouth.
Fyodor sighs before getting to a standing position while still holding Dazai. Startled by the sudden movement, Dazai quickly uses his free hand to grip Fyodor so he won’t fall. Fyodor smirks before heading over to the bed and sitting down on it while placing Dazai on his lap.
By now, Dazai had stopped actively crying, but he was still on the verge of tears. Everything still feels wrong, and not only did he start crying, but his enemy saw him cry. He’s not supposed to show this much weakness in front of anyone, especially Fyodor. While he was stuck in thought, he didn’t notice the hand that gently removed his finger from his mouth. He whined unconsciously, then went red in embarrassment, unshed tears now leaving his eyes again.
Fyodor took a mental note of Dazai’s actions. “I suspected something like this would happen,” Fyodor says, pulling something out of his pocket. Dazai wasn’t paying attention to Fyodor anymore; he was now sobbing uncontrollably again. While trying to slip his fingers back into his mouth, he gets stopped again. He almost lets out a wail before something rubbery is pressed into his mouth.
He goes cross-eyed trying to see what was put in his mouth. As soon as he sees it, he glares at Fyodor while trying to spit it out. But Fyodor had kept his hand in place, preventing him from doing so. Not even a minute of having the offending object in his mouth does he start to feel out of it.
His vision blurs, and he can already feel himself pass out. But right before he passes out, he hears.
“Oh, Dazai dear, you truly are the ungifted in a world full of gifted.”
Chapter 2: Month????
Notes:
There's a self-harm scene towards the end and a detailed panic attack and that should be the only trigger warnings

Chapter Text
“Oh, Dazai dear, you truly are the ungifted in a world full of gifted.”
It had been weeks since Dazai had heard that sentence. The very words shook him to his core. He tried to focus on that, but the isolation was starting to get to him again.
It’s been what felt like months since he’s seen another human being. Dazai hasn’t even been trying to count the number of days anymore. It’s only to wake up, try to eat, try not to panic again, and try to fall asleep; on repeat.
Which should be easy, if not for the fact that one. Eating is one of his hardest daily tasks. Two, panicking now is a habit that happens unconsciously. And three, his body is having trouble falling asleep. So sleep deprivation is not helping any of the other two things. All in all, it’s not going great.
So far, he’s spent today trying to catch up on more sleep. He hasn’t moved an inch out of bed since he first woke up, not even to eat. Dazai just wants to save whatever mental sanity he has left before he fully snaps.
He was having a better time remembering everything today. At the same time, he doesn’t remember how, why, or when he got here. He does know one thing.
Fyodor plans to use him for something.
Whether that be his next plans for world domination, or something more sinister, he has no clue yet. What Dazai does know is that he needs to sleep while he can. He is spreading himself thin by trying to use his intelligence.
It only took Dazai an hour before he gave up on trying to sleep and began going deep into thought again. Trying to find his way out of this has gotten increasingly harder. It was like being in one of those riddles.
You're trapped in one room. There is only one window, but it’s sealed shut, and no one ever walks by it. The door only opens once a day, and somehow Fyodor manages to deliver him food when he is… Incapacitated to say the least.
Dazai does not like thinking about the times when his mind isn’t all the way here. Thinking about it now brings the redness back to his face in embarrassment. He shakes his head to get rid of his thought process. He does not need to think of those… moments of lapse in judgement.
Right now, he needs to eat and keep thinking about how to leave this place. Speaking of food, he never heard the door open today for the food. Dazai guesses that Fyodor somehow knew that he wasn’t in that embarrassing headspace.
Now he has to go without food again today. He’s done this many times before he can do it again. His days in the port mafia were worse than this anyway. With this in mind, he slowly sits up, crosses his legs, and lays his head on the wall. Expending what little energy he has left is the last thing he wants to do right now.
To recap, he’s stuck in a locked room with no way out. Running on barely any food or sleep, with something going on with his mind. That affects his intelligence and motor skills. Dazai doesn’t remember much when he gets in this state, but he remembers enough to know. That he never wants anyone to see him like this, especially Fyodor.
Dazai is still trapped in thought by the time it gets dark. By the time he snaps out of it, he’s too exhausted to keep his head up. He lies back down on the bed, hopefully to get more sleep than he’s been getting.
Dazai wakes up with a start. Heavy labored breaths escaping his mouth, louder than he intended. The dream he woke up from was far from pleasant. It was filled with yelling, screaming, scalpels, needles, and… Fyodor. The dream felt too close to reality to be just his subconscious messing with him.
He hoped it was just a dream.
He slowly got out of bed, not wanting to get any more sleep after that dream. Looking out the window made it look like it was the middle of the night. Great, now he’s up in the middle of the night without any inclination to go back to sleep.
As soon as Dazai got up, he started pacing the small room. Looking around for anything that might take his mind off that dream. The only things to be found were childish toys, a bathroom door, the door to the outside, the bed, the night light, and the window. Half of which he will never acknowledge or even look at.
With nothing to think about, his mind wanders off to the dream. It felt too real to be fake, but it can’t be real.
Right?
But then again, he can’t rule anything out yet. If it’s a possibility that it might be real, then he has to look at this dream from every angle possible.
The beginning of the dream started simple enough. He was in a lab or operating room, he’s guessing since he was on a table with bright lights everywhere. The room looked white, but then again, that could just be chalked up to the lights. After that, he doesn’t remember much else besides Fyodor towering over him. With medical tools and all white clothing.
He doesn’t want it to be real; the dream itself brings a shiver down his spine at every mental image that gets brought up. But thinking more about this only feels like that could be the only solution.
The way he can still smell the medical disinfectant, or the ghost feeling of the medical tools on his body. And the fear, the fear was the part that stuck to him the most. The real fear was that something was happening to him and he had no control.
He couldn’t move, couldn’t speak, only watch as his body was invaded. It reminded him too much of Mori, and he did not want to remember that, especially right now.
His fee now couldn’t keep up with how fast his thought process was going. He just can’t get it out of his mind. The touch, the smells, the feeling, it’s all overlapping at once. He can feel it all. Logically, he knows none of this is happening right now. But that isn’t stopping his body from showing him everything that happened(?) that night.
Dazai feels like he’s going to puke with all of this happening to him right now. He just needs to let something out to do something. He needs to either hurt something or himself, and right now, the latter is looking pretty good.
Dazai dashes into the bathroom. Hoping to find something or anything to release him from the mental pain he’s in. He frantically searches the bathroom for something sharp. In a panic after coming up empty-handed.
Dazai punches the bathroom mirror, not even caring as his knuckles bleed from the broken shards. He quickly grabs one of the glass shards and starts cutting his arms. Being too trapped in his head, his cuts switch between deep and light.
Once he starts feeling faint, that's when he finally drops the glass shard he was using. With his brain finally quiet, he leans his back against the tiled wall and slumps down.
Dazai breathes a sigh of relief; his mind is finally quiet. He tries to raise his arms but groans in pain and lies them back down on the floor. He’ll worry about his arms later; right now, sleep is calling him.

Chapters after this are going to be really inconsistent because I start school soon and I for some reason decided to join color guard

Chapter Text
When Dazai wakes back up again, he doesn’t know where he is. He looks around, but all he sees are wooden bars surrounding him. And when he tries to sit up, his arms ache in a way he feels like hasn’t happened in a while. At least he thinks he’s felt this pain before.
“Good morning, baby,” Nikolai suddenly says while lifting Dazai and setting him on his hip. Dazai sat there stunned for a second before he immediately started squirming around.
A million questions flooded his mind at once.
Why did he pick him up? Where was he now? Why was he just surrounded by wooden bars? Too many questions with too few answers. Worst of all, his brain felt foggy, and no one was supposed to see him like this. So the first thing his mind thought to do was get out, and if that meant squirming out of someone who could kill him, then so be it.
All of a sudden, he feels a slap on his thigh. Dazai jumped (as much as he could) in surprise. He looked down at the spot where he was hit and then turned his head to the person who caused the pain.
Nikolai is grinning ear to ear in triumph. “Now that you've stopped squirming, we can get breakfast,” he laughs before walking down a hallway. Dazai turns red with embarrassment; he couldn’t believe what just happened.
He gets so lost in thought that he doesn’t notice them arriving in the kitchen until he can hear a barrage of footsteps and the feeling of being run into. Dazai immediately starts crying because of the impact; no one was supposed to see him like this, and he is already failing miserably. How can he get back home if he’s not even smart enough to do even that?
Nikolai sighs as he paces the room for the hundredth time while bouncing Dazai on his hip. After Dazai had started crying when Sigma ran into them, he kept apologizing and looked like he was on the verge of tears now, too. Then Fyodor left with Sigma to calm him, leaving Nikolai alone with a crying Dazai. After five minutes of trying to calm Dazai down on his own, he finally thinks of something to calm him down.
At this point, Dazai doesn’t care that he’s crying on his enemy’s shoulder. He wants to stop crying, he really does, but it feels like he can’t for some reason. While crying, he unconsciously slips his fingers into his mouth to calm himself down. No longer caring if he was supposed to be fighting.
Right when he was starting to calm down, his fingers were rudely ripped away from him. And they were replaced with something rubbery. Wait, Dazai remembers this feeling. This is the same object that he had with Fyodor. Dazai looks up to glare at Nikolai. How dare he take away his only comfort in this place?
Nikolai has to hold back from laughing at the full-on pout that Osamu gave him. “You can’t use your fingers, baby, they’re dirty and it’ll make you sick.” “Wait, really?” Osamu lisped in disbelief. He was really mentally younger, perhaps younger than Fyodor anticipated. This is perfect, Osamu is so cute like this. He looks so small and vulnerable, and so ideal to mold into whatever Fyodor and Nikolai want him to be.
“Now that you’ve calmed down, we can go see how Sigma is doing. I’m sure he would see if you’re doing better,” Nikolai said with a wide smile. It didn’t really seem like he was getting a choice to see this Sigma person, whoever he was. Maybe that was the person who ran into them earlier.
Then that means he’s the person who made Dazai cry. Dazai already doesn’t like this Sigma person. But apparently, he doesn’t even get a minute to himself before he is in another room and facing the direction of Fyodor and the person he assumes is Sigma.
Fyodor whispers something in Sigma’s ear before he runs up to him and Nikolai. “I’m sorry I made you cry. I didn’t mean to,” Sigma apologizes. Dazai turns his head with a huff. “Papa,” Sigma whines, “Osamu didn’t accept my apology.” “It’s alright, Sigma, Osamu probably feels like words are too much right now, especially after all those emotions he was feeling earlier,” Fyodor answers.
Why are they calling him Osamu? No one calls him that; he can’t remember anyone who did; at least he thinks. And now that he thinks about it, he hasn’t really talked since he woke up. Speaking hasn’t come up in his mind at all. He knows he should be talking, but talking seems like too much right now. Maybe he’ll try to talk later, yeah, that seems like a better option.
While Dazai is deep in thought, he doesn’t notice the conversation going on around him, nor does he notice being moved back to the kitchen area. Not until he was strapped down to a chair. That’s when he snaps out of it. Wait, what was he sitting in? Dazai looks around and sees Nikolai clicking these strap things on him. While Fyodor and Sigma were sitting at the table, eating. Then he looks down and sees the tray in front of him. Wait, a tray that can only mean one thing. He’s sitting in a high chair, and he immediately starts struggling once he figures it out.
“Osamu, stop struggling, you don’t wanna get in trouble on your first day home now, do you?” Fyodor says, looking up to make direct eye contact with Dazai. Dazai glares back and, with the most confident voice he can muster, he says, “Make me.”
The whole dining room goes dead silent except for the giggles from Sigma, who is completely enjoying this interaction. Fyodor sighs before standing up and heading over to Dazai. He didn’t want to do this on his first day; he had hoped the transition would be more peaceful. But alas, if Osamu wasn’t going to follow the rules, then they would have to show him what happens when he doesn’t listen. Whether it happens again or not depends on how much Osamu is receptive to this punishment.
Fyodor wordlessly picks up a trembling Osamu, who keeps repeating the word no, kind of like a silent mantra. Fyodor doesn’t tell him to stay silent; it’s only his first punishment after all. He tells Nikolai to help Sigma finish his breakfast and tells him to make the surprise he had for Osamu in the cabinet ready for when he gets back.
He places Osamu on his lap, making sure he is in a position where he can only look Fyodor in the face. “I didn’t want to have to punish you on your first day being home, but you leave me no choice,” Fyodor says, pausing to see if Osamu had anything to say. When he saw that he was not going to say anything, he continued. “What you did was wrong, and added up with the rest of your behavior from today, I won’t let you get away with an easy punishment.”
He continued before quickly repositioning Osamu on his lap to be lying across it. “Which is why you’ll be getting a spanking,” He finishes before bearing Osamu’s backside. That’s when Osamu started putting up a fight, kicking his feet, and screaming seemed to be the only thing he knew how to do now. But that wouldn’t matter after Fyodor was done with him. Fyodor places one hand on Osamu’s back to keep him from falling and then delivers the first smack to his butt.
Osamu squeals, it wasn’t really from pain but more of the shock than anything. Fyodor really spanked him; that thought was still going through his mind when the second and third spanks hit. He flinched with each impact. This should not hurt as much as it does. By the fifth, he was already tearing up he wasn’t kicking as much, but he was still kicking lightly.
After the fifth spank, Fyodor started talking again. “First and foremost, you listen to me and your daddy whenever we tell you to do something,” Fyodor lectures, not breaking the cycle of spanks while talking. “Your daddy might be more lenient with your behavior, but unfortunately for you, I am not.” At this point, Osamu is full-on sobbing into Fyodor’s pants. He had given up attempting to escape and had accepted his fate, mumbling out quiet apologies here and there. Only putting up a fuss when a particularly hard spank hit him.
“Shhh, you're almost done, just five more ‘samu,” Fyodor reassured him. He delivers the last five swats to Osamu’s sit spots, and then quickly picks him up to put him against his chest.
Once Dazai was laid against Fyodor’s chest, he started to calm down. Especially when he was given that pacifier back, as much as he hated the thing, it’s helped him calm down a lot. So he’ll tolerate it for now at least.

Chapter 4: NOT A CHAPTER
Chapter Text
Sorry for not posting in a while, I've had a lot going on with school. A new chapter should be posted within the next few days.
Anyway, I wanted y'all's opinion on a new story idea I have. It's a similar concept to this (forced age regression), but with Fukuzawa and Mori as the parents. And Ranpo, Yosano, and Dazai as the kids. It's going to be set around the time Dazai is 18, so right before he leaves the port mafia. Just tell me what ya'll think and if you would read it or not.
