Summary
Levi Ackermann doesn't appreciate being vulnerable in front of others – not in the sense that he only ever wants to be perceived as strong, he already is, rather his dislikes uncovering pieces of his past in front of others.
This is why he follows his resolve to speak to Erwin Smith, his Commander, who has accidentally witnessed and been victim of one of his night terrors – a rare one, during the small amount of sleep he forces himself to get in between a mission enough not to pass out and strictly when it's the Commander guarding the campfire.
However, he finds himself on the roof below the window of the Commander's office, stargazing and coming undone next to the man whose presence has become steadying.
After months, their tension dissolves into a tender, intimate moment.
