Erwin stood at the head of the table, relaxed but sharp, sleeves rolled, blue eyes steady. He let the chatter die down. Let the tension build just a little. Then he leaned forward.
“Before we dive into the boring admin stuff,” he said, “I have an announcement.”
Heads turned.
He looked at Levi.
“We’ve come a long way. And I think it’s time we start preparing for a future that doesn’t rely on a single pair of shoulders. Especially when there’s someone here who’s been carrying more than their fair share for three years now.”
Levi’s eyes narrowed slightly. But he didn’t move.
Erwin smiled.
“So, unless anyone here objects, I’d like to officially offer Levi the role of Deputy Director of the Scouts Agency.”
