Just happy cows can't fly

Summary:

Cows are attacking from the sky, Louis has to hide...

Notes:

Sometimes I talk to FelintoGirl and something she says sparks an idea.
We talked about flying cows and this fic happened.

It's just a crack fic and nothing else. It's stupid, it's dumb and it has flying cows attacking from the sky.
Take it for what it is. Hopefully it gives you a laugh.

Have a lovely day!

Work Text:

Birdy, birdy in the sky,

dropped a poopy in my eye,

I don’t worry I don’t cry,

I’m just happy cows can’t fly.

It was a nursery rhyme Louis had heard when he grew up and he had laughed about it a lot. He had been around five and giggled until his stomach hurt the first time he heard it, thinking about big cows up in the air, pooping on people. Poop flying through the air was just too hilarious for his younger self to handle.

However, he didn’t giggle now, he was hiding inside a truck, hoping it would cover him from the big shits dropping from the sky. At first it had looked like an air raid, planes flying in, covering the sky, shading the sun. Then the poop had started falling and Louis had panicked. Everyone had panicked. People were screaming in the streets trying to get away.

A hand had grabbed him, pulled him into the truck and now they were sitting a few metres in staring at the streets outside. Louis hadn’t seen the person’s face yet, just heard his low voice and seen his brown curls, felt his warm, firm hand in his.

He took a steadying breath, but then he yelped, startled by the loud thud when poop hit the roof of the truck. Instinctively he moved back, curled closer to the person behind him, who wrapped an arm around him, kept him safe.

“It’s alright. We’re safe. You’re safe,” the person promised. His voice slow and warm. Comforting.

Louis turned around, wanting to see the face of the person who had saved him, who kept him safe, but it was too dark, he couldn’t see anything. It shouldn’t be too dark. He should be able to see. Why didn’t he see?

The panic started to spread in his body, he couldn’t see, he could barely breathe. A loud sound was heard in the distance, like a fire alarm or a warning of some sort, like during war. It didn’t help him, the panic took over him more and more. The person tried to shake him back to reality as Louis kept screaming.

“Lou, hun, I’m here. I’m here,” Harry said, waking Louis up from his dream, feeling his husband's warm embrace as he pulled him in closer. “It was just a bad dream,” Harry soothed, placing a kiss at Louis’ temple. He breathed in the familiar scent of the love of his life, opened his eyes and saw his blinding dimples and glistening green eyes.

He was safe, he was at home, where he belonged, in a universe where cows couldn’t fly and poop didn’t attack from the sky.
