Elsa stepped away from the stones, back toward the path down into town. Kristoff wasn’t sure what to do.
“Take five, ten minutes, whatever you need,” she said. “Longer, even. I understand.”
He nodded. She walked back to the servants who had accompanied them, far enough that, with the whipping wind, he couldn’t hear what they were saying. Probably that meant they couldn’t hear him, either.
Not that he had anything to say that they shouldn’t hear, but this was a very private, vulnerable moment. He wasn’t sure what he might say. Was there anyone to hear him at all?
