Impact on the Avengers
Early Superhero Presence: The existence of these established teams would mean a greater superhero presence in the world before the Avengers initiative officially forms, leading to a different origin story for the Avengers as a formal team.
Team Dynamics: The relationships between core Avengers members would be altered. For instance, Black Widow being married to Captain America would add a significant layer to their dynamic within Strike Force.
Leadership Styles: With Tony already experienced in leading Force Works, his approach to team leadership within the Avengers could be more refined and potentially less chaotic than what was seen in the original film, where he is still relatively new to working in a team dynamic.
Pre-Existing Conflicts/Alliances: These team structures could lead to pre-existing tensions or alliances between the groups and their members, potentially impacting the unfolding of events and battles, like the Chitauri invasion.
Instead of the Avengers, a fascinating alternate reality with three distinct, established superhero teams operating before the first Avengers film takes Center stage, Force Works, Strike Force, and Agents of S.M.A.S.H. This would dramatically alter the landscape and dynamics of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in several ways!
The emergence of the Chitauri and Red Skull would still trigger the assembling of Earth’s defenses. However, instead of a relatively untested Avengers, Nick Fury would have access to two pre-established, experienced teams: Force Works and Strike Force. This means a more organized and coordinated initial response to the invasion.
Red Skull leading the Chitauri adds a layer of personal vendetta against Captain America, potentially influencing the intensity and focus of the fighting in New York.
Tony Stark’s Force Works, with its focus on proactive prevention and advanced technology, and Steve Rogers’ Strike Force, with its traditional heroism and tactical prowess, would likely develop a more comprehensive strategy to counter Red Skull’s invasion, rather than the more reactive approach seen in the film.
…
Fantastic four, led by Mr fantastic, as a base located in The Baxter Building in New York City, New York, United States. Various other heroes are also located in New York.
…
Key differences from the original Avengers story!
Avengers Initiative: The Avengers initiative might not be necessary in the same way. These three teams could already be functioning as separate entities, potentially with their own missions and priorities.
Red Skull’s Invasion: The unified front against Red Skull's invasion of New York City would likely involve these three teams working together or in conjunction, which could be a much larger scale battle than depicted in the original film.
Relationships: The established relationships, particularly between Black Widow and Captain America and within the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. team, would add new dynamics and emotional complexities to the overall narrative.
Absence of Team Formation: The original Avengers movie included a plot that focused on the heroes learning to cooperate. With established teams, this aspect of the story would be missing. Instead, the story would likely feature pre-existing dynamics, rivalries, or alliances.
Differing approaches: The distinct leadership styles and philosophies of Tony Stark, Steve Rogers, and Hulk would likely lead to differing approaches to global threats and potential conflicts.
Tony & Steve’s dynamic: With Stark already leading a successful team, his initial interactions with Cap, who would be leading his own team, shifts from playful rivalry to a more complex relationship, perhaps with elements of professional competition or even mutual respect for their leadership styles.
…
S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Government: S.H.I.E.L.D. would likely have a much more complex and perhaps tense relationship with these pre-existing teams.
Force Works (Tony Stark): Given Tony Stark’s independent and potentially controversial nature, as highlighted in Iron Man 2, S.H.I.E.L.D. might be wary of his privately funded and led superhero operation. They might attempt to monitor Force Works or exert some level of control over it, possibly offering a liaison, Maria Hill or Sharon Carter, to keep tabs on Stark’s activities.
Strike Force (Captain America): A team led by Captain America would likely be viewed with more trust and respect by S.H.I.E.L.D. and the US government, especially if he and Black Widow are integrated into a S.H.I.E.L.D. structure or are perceived as working closely with the intelligence agency. However, even with Cap at the helm, the concept of super-powered individuals operating independently could still raise concerns, leading to discussions about oversight and accountability, Phil Coulson possibly his own team, would be the liaison between strike Force and SHIELD.
Agents of S.M.A.S.H. (Hulk): The existence of a team of Hulks led by Bruce Banner, with family members like Betty Ross and Jennifer Walters, would be a major development, S.H.I.E.L.D. might try to control or harness the power of this team, potentially seeing them as a significant asset or a major threat depending on the circumstances. The potential destructive capabilities of the Hulks would likely be a primary concern for the government. Hulk and his family absolutely refuse to have a liaison, that does not mean that Nick Fury did not post a few Shield agents around Vista Verde. One thing for sure however General Ross is not a happy camper.
Mixed Public Reception: While some may embrace these heroes, others might fear or distrust superpowered individuals and their actions. Public opinion might fluctuate depending on the scale of threats faced and the teams’ successes or failures.
Governmental Involvement and Oversight: Governments and international bodies might react to the existence of these teams by attempting to establish some level of control or oversight, potentially through initiatives like the Mutant and Superhuman Registration Accords or similar legislation.
Media Frenzy and Scrutiny: The existence of these teams would be massive news. Think daily reports, debates, and intense scrutiny of their actions and effectiveness, potentially sparking both hero worship and public fear.
…
Heimdall and the Soul Stone: Heimdall possessing the Soul Stone could significantly impact the Battle of New York. His ability to see souls across the nine realms might allow him to anticipate threats or even use the Stone’s power to aid the battle in unforeseen ways. The Soul Stone is the orange gem embedded into his torso armor. As such there is no Vormir, so no sacrifice for the stone which means both Gamora and Natasha get to live. Thanos would directly confront Asgard, and more specifically, Heimdall, to obtain the Soul Stone. This would be a pivotal and potentially tragic confrontation for Asgard.
Chitauri Invasion (The Avengers): The scale of this event would demand a larger response. SHIELD would probably try to coordinate all the established teams, potentially leading to some interesting team-up combinations during the battle for New York.
Loki’s Imprisonment & Release: Loki’s imprisonment on Asgard, followed by Thor freeing him to fight the Dark Elves, could lead to a different dynamic in their relationship. Their bond might be strengthened by the shared struggle, or Loki might feel further resentment after his initial incarceration. Or perhaps even leading to a quicker path to redemption for Loki.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) and Hydra’s infiltration of S.H.I.E.L.D! Hydra’s Exposure: The presence of multiple independent teams might have exposed Hydra’s infiltration of S.H.I.E.L.D. much earlier, given that these teams may operate outside of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s direct control and surveillance, and may have had members more equipped to detect and counter such threats. Wider Support for Captain America: If Hydra is revealed earlier, Captain America might have had more allies from the other teams backing him up, making the fallout and “fugitive” status less severe. And with his own Team, he would have been able to deal with Project Insight much more handedly, and even gained custody of the Winter Soldier, which could have led to his un-brainwashing, and integration into Strike Force.
Ultron: The emergence of Ultron might see the different teams tackling different facets of the threat, from defending key locations to tracking down Ultron’s operations. Most likely the one to create Ultron in this timeline, would be Hydra, probably Strucker.
Civil War (2016): The core conflict of Civil War would be profoundly altered, the MCU’s version of the conflict managed to capture the essence of the comic books, but to call it an actual “civil war” would be inaccurate. With multiple established teams, the Sokovia Accords would ignite a larger, potentially more widespread conflict, forcing heroes to choose sides not just individually but as entire teams.
Tony Stark’s core belief in accountability and regulation, particularly after the events with Ultron (created by Hydra in this scenario), would remain strong. The structure of Force Works, a potentially government-funded or sanctioned team, would further reinforce the pro-registration stance within the group. Pepper as Rescue would support Tony, while War Machine, a military figure, would naturally lean towards governmental oversight. Hank Pym, depending on his past experience with government organizations and how Giant-Man is viewed, could be convinced by the arguments for regulation or swayed by Tony’s influence. Century, Arachne, Tigra, and Wonder Man, as newer or less established heroes, may see the benefits of registration and a structured framework. Kamala Khan (Bendy-Girl), in her early career, might be more amenable to following an established system. Vision, being a creation of A.I. (J.A.R.V.I.S.), could logically align with the side that advocates for order and control, especially given his potential for destructive power if unregulated.
Captain America’s deep-seated belief in personal liberty and freedom, especially after witnessing the corruption within S.H.I.E.L.D. (Hydra in this case), would solidify his opposition to the Accords. Black Widow, as his wife and 2nd-in-command, would undoubtedly stand by him. Hawkeye, Mockingbird, Ant-Man, Wasp, Spider-Woman, and Falcon have historically aligned with Captain America’s ideals of individual freedom and mistrust of government control. Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch’s experiences with Hydra (who created Ultron in this scenario) would likely make them wary of any government-imposed oversight, possibly strengthening their ties to Captain America and his ideals. Ms. Marvel (Black Leotard & Gold Lightning Bolt) may lean towards Captain America, embodying similar ideals of heroism and a strong sense of justice that prioritizes protecting individuals over adhering strictly to governmental control.
Bruce Banner, especially as Hulk, would likely side with Captain America. His history of being hunted by the government and his desire for freedom would make him resistant to any form of registration or control. Betty Ross, as his wife and Red She-Hulk, would stand by him. Rick Jones (Blue Hulk) and Jennifer Walters (possibly siding with them) would also likely choose Cap’s side, as they too have faced issues with government interference. Skaar, as the son of Bruce and Betty, would likely follow their lead and also align with Captain America. Their collective power would make them a significant force on Cap’s side.
The Shadow Warriors, operating largely in the supernatural and vigilante realms, would likely reject the idea of government oversight. Doctor Strange would likely prefer the autonomy to address mystical threats as he sees fit, not constrained by political machinations. Blade, Ghost Rider, Moon Knight, Daredevil, Elektra, Power Man, Iron Fist, Jewel, and Punisher, all largely operating outside conventional law enforcement, would resist any attempts to regulate their actions. They would likely gravitate towards Captain America’s side, seeking the freedom to continue their work as they see fit.
Thor: After freeing Loki from prison to fight the Dark Elves, Thor might lean towards the importance of heroes acting without restrictions when facing existential threats, potentially placing him on Captain America’s side.
Fantastic Four: While Mr. Fantastic (Reed Richards) initially opposed the Superhuman Registration Act, but his logical, scientific approach lead him to support it to ensure safety and stability after a super-powered disaster. Invisible Woman (Sue Storm) and the Human Torch (Johnny Storm) opposed registration, while Thing (Ben Grimm) took a neutral stance.
The X-Men traditionally remained neutral during Civil War due to the pre-existing tensions and fears of public anti-mutant sentiment. However, some might secretly align with either side based on their personal convictions.
Professor X & some X-Men: Could take a public stance of neutrality to protect the larger mutant community from further persecution, while some might discreetly aid Captain America’s side.
Others: Individual X-Men members could choose to join either side, depending on their personal experiences with government oversight and their philosophical beliefs. For example, characters like Wolverine, who operate outside traditional superhero teams, might favor Captain America’s autonomy.
Thanos: The arrival of Thanos would be a major test, forcing all the teams to potentially unite against a common enemy, or choose sides in the conflict.

Chapter 2: Team Tony!
Summary:
Force Works (Led by Tony Stark): They operate out of a facility known as “The Works,” which was a Stark Enterprises facility located in Ventura, California.
Chapter Text
…
Leader: Iron Man (Tony Stark) – A brilliant and wealthy inventor leading the charge with his advanced technology and strategic mind.
Motivation: Following his escape from Afghanistan, Tony Stark, driven by a newfound sense of responsibility and a desire for proactive global defense, establishes Force Works. Dissatisfied with the existing protocols (perhaps a nascent SHIELD struggling to effectively manage threats), Stark envisions a team that can anticipate and neutralize threats before they escalate into a global crises.
Expanded Roster: The roster itself is a powerful mix of seasoned veterans (War Machine, Tigra, Wonder Man), powerhouse individuals (Giant-Man, Vision), and lesser-known but potent additions (Pepper, Century, Arachne, Bendy-Girl), under Tony’s leadership would offer a wider range of abilities and perspectives within the team.
Rescue (Pepper Potts): Offering vital support as acting CEO of Stark Industries and potentially deploying an aored suit for direct assistance. Her relationship to Tony, being his girlfriend made her a logical choice at the first person he has to join the team.
War Machine (James Rhodes) – Iron Man’s trusted friend and capable armored ally, he served the second command. Rhodey would be a natural fit, already a military pilot and possessing experience with Stark’s technology, stepping into a more active role.
Giant-Man (Hank Pym) – A brilliant scientist specializing in Pym Particles and size-changing abilities. Pym, already a renowned scientist and the original Ant-Man, might be drawn in by Tony’s resources and the potential to utilize his Pym Particles on a grander scale for preemptive action.
Century (Woody) – An enigmatic warrior with advanced technology and fighting skills. Woody, with his energy manipulation powers, could be discovered and recruited for his unique abilities. As an alien with immense cosmic power, Century might be recruited by Tony after a public display of his powers through H.O.M.E.R.’s reconnaissance, offering him a chance to find a new purpose on Earth.
Arachne (Julia Carpenter) – A powerful Spider-Woman with superhuman strength, agility, and webslinging abilities. Julia, already possessing her powers from a past illegal human experiment and having a history with government projects, is persuaded to join the team, focused on protecting the world.
Tigra (Greer Grant Nelson) – A feline-powered heroine with heightened senses and agility. A skilled fighter and detective, Tigra would provide unique tracking abilities and combat expertise.
Wonder Man (Simon Williams) – An ionic-powered powerhouse with immense strength and durability. Already a known figure with his ionic energy abilities, he is approached by Tony and convinced to use his powers for the greater good.
Bendy-Girl (Kamala Khan) – A young hero with embiggening powers and a strong moral compass. Kamala, after discovering her powers at a younger age is identified by Stark’s intelligence network and offered a place on the team, as a prodigy mentored by Tony.
Vision (J.A.R.V.I.S. in a robot body) – An advanced android with a vast array of abilities and a connection to Tony Stark’s AI. Tony, having already developed JARVIS, created a physical body for JARVIS, envisioning him as a valuable asset for Force Works with his tactical analysis and computational abilities.
Technological Advancement: This team would likely be more technologically advanced and perhaps more proactive in their interventions, given Tony Stark’s leadership and the presence, this team would undoubtedly lead to advanced technology and weaponry being developed and deployed, possibly impacting the overall technological landscape of the MCU. Their operations might be less covert than Strike Force’s and they might be more willing to use their resources to tackle large-scale threats and global issues.
Dynamics: This team emphasizes technology and innovation, with Tony Stark at the forefront, alongside tech-savvy allies like War Machine (James Rhodes) and Vision, who is an advanced artificial intelligence in a robotic body. The presence of Hank Pym as Giant-Man brings a focus on scientific exploration and growth, leading to new advancements in Pym Particles and their applications. Arachne (Julia Carpenter) and Tigra add a powerful, agile, and more street-level and stealth element to the team. While Wonder Man and Bendy-Girl (Kamala Khan) offer unique powers and diverse perspectives, allowing the team to tackle a broader range of threats.
Impact on MCU: They would likely be the initial responders to events like the Hulk’s rampages, possibly trying to contain him, which could create a different dynamic between Stark and Banner earlier on. The team’s larger roster might allow them to tackle multiple threats concurrently and offer more varied approaches to problem-solving compared to a smaller, more focused team.
Pym’s Role: Having Hank Pym in Force Works in this alternate timeline, aligning with Tony Stark in a more collaborative and less antagonistic manner. Big Brain team-ups, for mission planning.
Pros: Tony’s ego and genius would be well-established, potentially even revered, but also likely a source of tension with other teams.
Cons: His desire for control and independent operations could clash with any attempts at governmental oversight or cooperation with other groups. With his own team effectively functioning at his own personal PMC.
Chapter 3: Team Cap!
Summary:
Strike Force (Led by Captain America): They are primarily based in “Avenger’s” Mansion in Providence, Rhode Island, United States. However they’re true base is a mobile base, specifically a repurposed SHIELD Helicarrier, operating in international waters, this mobile base avoid jurisdictional complexities of specific territories and offers greater flexibility and response times to impending threats.
Chapter Text
…
Leader: Captain America (Steve Rogers) – The super-soldier representing American ideals and tactical expertise. Empowered by Vita-Rays and the Erskine Super Soldier Serum Formula. The inspirational leader, grounded in traditional values and leading from the front. A more traditional, military-style approach to superheroics, embodying values of loyalty, discipline, and teamwork.
Motivation: Steve Rogers, upon being thawed from the ice, is driven by a strong sense of duty and a desire to protect the world. His leadership style, based on morality and teamwork, leads to the formation of a separate team, in conjunction with S.H.I.E.L.D. for Government Oversight, they act as an extension of law enforcement, focused on responding to existing threats rather than preempting them.
Personal Connection: The marriage between Captain America and Black Widow would be a significant alteration to their individual character arcs and relationship development, adding an emotional layer to their teamwork and potentially impacting crucial decisions.
Members: Captain America (Steve Rogers), Black Widow (Natasha Romanoff, Cap’s wife & 2nd-in-command), Hawkeye (Clint Barton), Mockingbird (Bobbi Morse), Spider-Woman (Jessica Drew), Ant-Man (Scott Lang), Wasp (Hope van Dyne), Falcon (Sam Wilson), Quicksilver (Pietro Maximoff), Scarlet Witch (Wanda Maximoff), & Ms. Marvel (Carol Danvers, Black Leotard & Gold Lightning Bolt). Members are experienced heroes, chosen for their combat skills, tactical expertise, and unwavering dedication to justice. Formed under the aegis of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Black Widow (Natasha Romanoff) – A skilled spy, assassin, and Steve Rogers’ partner. Within her veins is the Russian equivalent of a Super Soldier Serum, based on the Red Skull and Black Widow Venom. Natasha, a skilled Soldier and SSR agent, is already known to Fury, is immediately paired with Captain America, their solid bond from WWII and their marriage, leads to her taking on the role of his second-in-command. Natasha provides strong tactical support and a fierce sense of loyalty.
Hawkeye (Clint Barton) – An expert archer and marksman. Clint, providing long-range support and an unparalleled & gifted marksman, as well as a top a SHIELD field agent, would naturally join the team.
Mockingbird (Bobbi Morse) – A highly trained S.H.I.E.L.D. agent and skilled combatant. A skilled spy and fighter, Mockingbird could be a fellow SHIELD agent or an individual brought in for her specific skill set.
Spider-Woman (Jessica Drew) – A powerful Spider-Woman with superhuman strength, agility, bio-electricity, flight, pheromones abilities, and venom blasts, she’d be a valuable close-quarters combatant and detective, on top of being a highly trained S.H.I.E.L.D. agent and skilled combatant. Is another natural choice for her specific skill sets to join the team. Jessica’s background as a spy and private investigator, coupled with her Spider-Woman powers, would make her a valuable asset. She’d be recruited for her unique blend of skills, particularly useful in investigations and espionage.
Falcon (Sam Wilson) – A winged hero and loyal ally to Captain America. Sam, a veteran of military air rescue and an experienced combatant, how sought out Cap, forming a close bond based on their shared military background.
Ms. Marvel (Carol Danvers in black leotard & gold lightning bolt) – A powerful cosmic hero with flight, strength, and energy projection abilities. Carol, already a powered hero with a strong sense of justice, was an independent operator who is inspired by Captain America’s leadership, aligning herself with the Strike Force’s ideals.
Ant-Man (Scott Lang) – A thief turned hero with the ability to shrink in size and control ants. Scott, having already become Ant-Man is recruited for his skills in infiltration and espionage.
Wasp (Hope van Dyne) – Another size-shifting hero and partner to Ant-Man. She can also fly. Hope, already a skilled fighter and familiar with Pym technology, joins Captain America’s team, alongside Scott, mostly due to her distrust of Tony Stark, and her disapproval of her father's choice to side with their family's competitor.
Quicksilver (Pietro Maximoff) – A mutant with super-speed.
Scarlet Witch (Wanda Maximoff) – A powerful sorceress and Quicksilver’s twin sister.
Quicksilver & Scarlet Witch: The Maximoff twins, as mutants with their powers already developed, are approached by SHIELD while seeking refuge with Steve, from their father, their raw power and potential being a valuable asset.
Dynamic: This team would likely be more focused on covert operations, espionage, and perhaps operate with greater stealth and precision, influenced by Captain America’s experience and the expertise of characters like Black Widow and Hawkeye.
Diverse Skill Set: Steve Rogers leading a Strike Force would emphasize his tactical prowess and inspire loyalty among his ranks. Black Widow as his wife and second-in-command adds a deeply personal and experienced element to their command structure. The tactical expertise and presence of Hawkeye and Mockingbird, known for their sharpshooting and espionage skills, would form a potent core of the team. Ant-Man and Wasp, with their size-changing abilities and technological expertise, would offer a unique tactical advantage. The inclusion of powerful individuals like Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, with their enhanced abilities, would also make this a formidable and potentially unpredictable team. Ms. Marvel (Carol Danvers), with her black leotard and gold lightning bolt design, represents her original and iconic appearance, embodying the potential power within this Strike Force before she becomes Captain Marvel. This team would benefit from a combination of different skills, providing a well-rounded and versatile unit.
Impact on MCU: Their skillset could lead to earlier confrontations with Hydra remnants and other threats requiring stealth and intelligence gathering. Black Widow being Captain America’s wife would add a personal layer to their missions and could influence their decision-making.
Pros: Captain America’s moral compass and leadership skills would be a stark contrast to Stark’s arrogance and potentially draw others to his side.
Cons: His commitment to justice could lead to friction with groups operating outside the law or in ethically gray areas.
Thor Odinson: He has a strong, consistent respect and friendship with Captain America. He admires Cap’s integrity and leadership. He’s also shown respect for other members, like Hawkeye, and his interactions with Black Widow, while not as close, are still positive. The family dynamic (Black Widow being Cap’s wife) further solidifies this as a potentially strong alliance for Thor.
Chapter 4: Team Hulk!
Summary:
Agents of S.M.A.S.H. (Led by Hulk): Based in Vista Verde town located in New Mexico, United States, the birthplace of The Incredible Hulk.
Chapter Text
…
Leader: Hulk (Bruce Banner) – The powerful gamma-fueled giant leading a team of gamma-powered allies. Bruce, with his newfound control and desire for acceptance, would naturally lead the team.
Motivation: Bruce Banner, driven to control his Hulk transformations and to prove to the world that he is more than a monster, forms this team to handle threats that require significant force and can utilize the unique strengths of gamma-powered individuals.
Members: Hulk (Bruce Banner), Red-She-Hulk (Betty Ross, Bruce’s wife), She-Hulk (Jennifer Walters, dating Rick Jones), Awesome Bomb aka A-Bomb (Rick Jones) and Skaar (Bruce and Betty’s son).
Red She-Hulk (Betty Ross) – Bruce Banner’s wife and a gamma-powered formidable opponent. Betty, having already undergone the transformation into Red She-Hulk due to past events, is a key member, working with Bruce on a more personal level to manage their transformations.
She-Hulk (Jennifer Walters) – Bruce Banner’s cousin and a strong, intelligent lawyer who embraces her Hulk form. Jen, a lawyer and fellow gamma mutate, provide legal assistance and another powerful gamma-powered hero to the team.
Skaar – Son of Hulk and a powerful warrior. He is a gray skinned Hulk. Skaar’s origins, as Bruce and Betty’s child adding another unique gamma-powered individual to the team, he is only a few years old, but the combined gamma power of both his parents, and his own gamma infused DNA, accelerated his aging, to that of a teenager.
Awesome Bomb aka A-Bomb (Rick Jones) – A loyal sidekick and close friend to Hulk. He is a blue-skinned hulk, with an ability similar to an armadillo, that allows him to call himself up as a massive gamma-powered cannonball. Rick, a long-time friend and supporter of Bruce, gained his powers through a similar event and joined the team to document their adventures and help rehabilitate the Hulk’s image.
Gamma Radiation Focus: The team’s origins and powers are rooted in gamma radiation, making them uniquely suited to handle threats involving similar energies or creatures.
Redemption Arc for the Hulk: This provides an opportunity for the Hulk to embrace a leadership role and find acceptance, even working towards changing public perception by the existence of Agents of S.M.A.S.H.
Hulk’s Role: Having Hulk as a leader means a more controlled and articulate version of the character, as seen in the animated series, rather than the rage-fueled monster seen in earlier MCU films. This impacts his interactions with the other teams and his overall character development.
Bruce & Betty & Jen & Rick, Family Dynamics: The inclusion of Betty Ross as Red She-Hulk and Bruce’s wife, along with their son Skaar and the presence of She-Hulk/Jen, and Rick as a couple, points towards a more expanded and potentially healthier Hulk family dynamic, significantly change the emotional landscape for Bruce and offer new storylines related to family and the consequences of gamma exposure within the Hulk family, potentially shifting the narrative away from Hulk’s initial isolation and emphasizing the strength of his relationships.
Dynamic: This team would be a powerhouse of strength and gamma-powered abilities, potentially focusing on direct confrontation and destructive threats. Their existence before the first Avengers movie would significantly alter the initial dynamic surrounding the Hulk and his reputation.
Impact on MCU: The established relationships within the team, particularly Betty and Bruce being married with a son, would reshape the emotional core of Hulk’s story. It might alleviate the isolation Bruce feels and offer him more support, potentially impacting his transformations and overall character development.
Pros: This team would provide a powerful force against threats and potentially inspire fear in villains, and Betty Ross’s presence as Red She-Hulk could add an interesting dynamic to the Hulk’s personal arc and the team’s public perception.
Cons: The Hulks’ unpredictable power and potential for destruction could be a major source of concern for governments and the general public, further intensifying debates on enhanced individuals’ unchecked power.
Chapter 5: Team Supernatural & Street-Level Vigilante!
Summary:
Shadow Wardens (led by Dr. Strange, his second and third in command, are Blade and Luke Cage): Their base when in use, is Doctor Strange’s Sanctum Sanctorum, in New York. This name emphasizes their role as protectors operating outside the typical heroic spotlight.
Chapter Text
…
Leader: Doctor Strange’s expertise in the mystic arts and experience battling supernatural threats, along with his connection to the Sanctum Sanctorum, he’s the most likely candidate to lead this diverse group, particularly since many of the members deal with supernatural elements.
Motivation: A Street-Level Team, This group would operate outside the formal structures, tackling grittier threats and potentially clashing with law enforcement or even the other superhero teams. Their methods would likely be more ruthless and morally ambiguous, providing a stark contrast to the more “heroic” teams.
Members: Blade, Abigail, Hannibal, Dr. Strange, Punisher, Ghost Rider, Daredevil, Elektra, Powerman, Iron Fist, Jewel, & Moon Knight.
~
The Nightstalkers: While this name primarily refers to a team Blade formed.
Blade (Eric Brooks): Blade’s singular focus on hunting vampires would make him a lone wolf, but he might occasionally be drawn into collaborations to take down larger threats that align with his personal mission, particularly when involving supernatural elements or ancient evils.
Daystar: Abigail Whistler & Nightstalker: Hannibal King: As experienced vampire hunters, they would likely cross paths with Blade and form a temporary alliance to combat a specific vampire lord or threat. One another master archer, almost as good as Hawkeye, meanwhile the other is an expert Marksman his skills with guns match that of Black Widow.
~
Midnight Sons: This name carries a strong history in the comics for a team dedicated to confronting supernatural threats,
Doctor Strange (Stephen Vincent Strange): Strange’s mastery of the mystic arts would lead him to encounters with supernatural and magical threats, potentially intersecting with Blade’s hunt for vampires or other otherworldly beings. He might reluctantly offer aid when the stakes are high, but primarily focus on his mystical duties.
Ghost Rider (Johnny Blaze): Ghost Rider’s mission to punish the wicked would often lead him to cross paths with this team, especially when dealing with demonic activity or those who deserve divine retribution. He might offer aid but maintain a distance, driven By his own internal struggles.
Moon Knight (Marc Spector): Moon Knight’s multiple personalities and brutal fighting style would make him a wildcard, but his mission as the Fist of Khonshu aligns with punishing those who prey on the innocent. He might join this team when their objectives align with his own, but his mental state might also make him a challenging ally.
~
The Defenders: This name also carries a comics precedent for a team of primarily street-level heroes.
Daredevil (Matt Murdock): Matt’s dedication to justice and his heightened senses would make him a natural protector of Hell’s Kitchen. He might work alongside this team on specific cases, but prefers to operate in the shadows, upholding the law as a lawyer and as Daredevil.
Elektra (Elektra Natchios): Elektra’s complicated past as an assassin and her connection to Daredevil would likely lead her into encounters with this team. She might find a sense of belonging among those fighting for justice, but her methods might clash with their ethics.
Powerman (Luke Cage): Luke’s super-strength and unbreakable skin would make him an undeniable force in the criminal underworld. He might be recruited to protect innocent communities or dismantle criminal organizations, perhaps drawn by the camaraderie of this team.
Iron Fist (Danny Rand): Danny’s mastery of martial arts and the Iron Fist would make him a powerful ally against supernatural or mystical threats. He might join this team to fulfill his destiny as the protector of K’un-Lun, or to fight the criminal element that threatens the innocent.
Jewel (Jessica Jones): Jessica’s powers and cynical outlook would make her a reluctant hero, but her sense of justice and compassion would eventually shine through. She might be recruited to investigate cases or provide a unique perspective on the criminal underworld.
Punisher (Frank Castle): The Punisher’s relentless war on crime would put him in conflict with many of these street-level heroes, but he might find common ground with those focused on eliminating major criminals or protecting the innocent. His recruitment would be unlikely unless he found a particularly heinous criminal that aligned with the team’s objective. Basically he’s only a part-time member.
Dynamic: This team would be a collection of vigilantes and those operating outside the traditional structures, likely brought together by shared experiences and a common cause. Fighting against not only street level crime, and organized criminal enterprises, but also fighting against the supernatural. The team’s members, including anti-heroes like Punisher and Ghost Rider, would provide an opportunity to explore different ethical frameworks and approaches to heroism within the MCU.
Impact on MCU: Introducing these characters would broaden the MCU’s scope to include magical realms, demonic forces, and other supernatural elements, opening doors for more diverse storytelling.
Pros: This team would introduce a darker, more supernatural side of the MCU, along with street-level heroes like Daredevil and Elektra, much earlier than in the established timeline.
Cons: Blending the supernatural elements and darker themes of this team with the more grounded and technologically focused other teams could present a narrative challenge.
