Work Text:

The New Kid trembled as they stared up at the trolly slowly descending down the wall, everyone looked okay.. But before they could just move on and forget about what they just did for the time being, Toolshed piped up.

"What took you so long, New Kid? You just screwing around having fun?" He crossed his arms before exiting the trolly with everyone else.

Their eye twitched as they desperately tried to keep themselves together, everyone else was just talking. Making plans about what to do with Mitch Connor, or rather, Eric Cartman. All of this. All of this was too much. The New Kid could feel as their parent's blood seeped deeper into their poorly made costume, they could feel it starting to dry in their hair and on their hands. They already missed them.. the poor kid could barely stomach being forced to murder their own father. But shorty after when they turned to their mother to say their goodbyes before rendezvousing with the other Freedom pals.. she had already passed. Blood loss. Like she warned about. The moment it happened they just froze.

The New Kid's zone out was quickly broken by a hand on their shoulder, they blinked before looking up to see who it was.

Human Kite. No. Kyle. He looked worried. Like he knew something wasn't right. "New Kid..? Are you okay, dude?" His hand still firmly planted on their shoulder. It was grounding to them.

That sentence, it was the straw that broke the camels back. The New Kid just snapped, tears welled up in the corners of their eyes as they trembled. Kyle's face immediately went from confusion to shock as he franticly tried to find out what was wrong just by context clues. The soft cried soon turned into loud sobs, the New Kid covered their face with their hands and just wailed. Soon every other Freedom Pal was staring at them. To the others, the break down was completely unprompted. Kyle bent down to his crying friend, holding their shoulders and trying to get answers out of them.. he wasn't very successful.

"Kyle. Move." Mysterion walked up to them, Kyle looked up at him for a moment before moving aside.

The New Kid had their face planted in their hands, shaking and letting out disturbing cries.

"New Kid. Listen to me. Please. What happened." His voice was deep and demanding but weirdly comforting.

The kid sniffled and started trying to wipe their tears with their bloody hands. "M-....my .-parents.." Their sentence was interrupted by soft hiccups.

"Yes. What about them.?" Mysterion gently shook the New Kid and stared down at them.

The New Kid couldn't hold it in anymore, each agonizing day of this stupid game all compiled to this. This very moment where they had to tell someone. "Th-they're dea.d..! I-" Before they could finish their sentence they cried out, loud almost scream like sobs escaped from their lips.

Mysterion flinched, his eyes widening in shock, completely breaking character. "What the fuck?" His gruff voice muddled down to his normal one. Everyone just froze, wearing the same horrified expression as they processed it all.

"The-.. the trolly.. required a.. DNA sample and- and.. m-my parents.. d-didn't.. make it." They trembled as they recounted the events to everyone. They stared down at their bloodied costume, they just wanted to get on clean clothes..

Kyle's fist clenched. "That son of a bitch. What the fuck is wrong with him!?" Everyone knew that Cartman was a horrible person. But they'd never think he'd stoop this low over a stupid game. Making the New Kid kill their own parents just for the hell of it.

While the New Kid cried Mysterion panicked on what to do. It had never gone this far before. He thought for a moment before just hugging the crying friend in front of him. The kid froze for a moment before shakily clinging to him, letting themself cry it out into his chest.

While this was going on the other Freedom Pals were murmuring amongst themselves. Kyle spotted Stan out in the crowd and nervously walked up to him, the boy looked extremely disturbed. No one expected that it would turn out like this.
