Summary
The riding crops. It had been a gag, that was all. A couple of favors traded with Radar to make their Kentucky Derby day just a little more real-feeling when they were so far away from home. They couldn’t even get the coverage on the radio, so they scrounged up cavalry overstock riding crops and teased the nurses with them.
It was just a gag, but when Trapper went off to celebrate winning, he and his nurse had taken the riding crop with them.
Hawkeye sometimes got very, very jealous.
